That's true. Mogul or Moghol means the same- those who once submitted to Ghenghis Khan. They were turks who became mongols poltically. Chenghis Khan's legacy doesn't belong just to todays mongolians, but commonly and mostly to a big quantity of turkish nations. His actual name "temujin" means iron-smith( temir in turkic is iron, jin is smith). Mongols was the name for the turkic peoples just as the word "tatar"( another turkic tribe that Temujin conquered).

That guy is a son of Temuchin, in honour of whom the Chenghiz Khan was named when he was born, you must be familiar with it I think.. Temuchin was a fearless warrior andshowed himself outrageouslyin his final battle with Yesugei where he was captured. So Yesugei in tribute to him names his firstborn. So the boy in this film just takes a revenge for his father, and a person commiting suicide is the same person, just grown up a lil bit :)
