Bleh.. can't believe people actually eat pigeons. It's just weird considering that here, they're considered "rats w/ wings". I'm sure it tastes just fine though, but still.. the thought that you're eating a pigeon is very offputting.

i dont think pigeons is in the same category as rats they are clean and eat grains same as chickens unlike rats which live in infested sewers and eat garbage

Oh I like pigeons (not to eat) and don't consider them rats w/ wings, I was just saying that alot of people consider them to be that so the thought of eating them is weird. I think it's weird b/c well... i don't consider them to be a food animal :P

to be fair as long as they're raised specifically for consumption both are 'clean' there are plently of countries that eat raised rats and mice

thats what i think as well. but i think all cultures have foods that other people in a different culture would never dream of eating.

a narrow view of the world, pigeon is quite common actually, especiallly fried pigeon just like fried chicken, although less meat, the taste is much better
