Strawberry Shortcake:

Ingredients - Strawberries, Sugar, Sara Lee pound cake & Cool Whip

- Slice strawberries and put in a bowl.

- Next stir sugar in with strawberries and let sit so juces come out.

- Then get a Sara Lee pound cake and cut into thin slices.

- Place one or more slices of pound cake on plate.

- Place a scoop of strawberries on top of pound cake.

- Put a spoonful of Cool Whip on top of the starwberries.

- Top off with a single strawberry on top of the Cool Whip.

I'm not sure if I understand why Val feels a need to apologize when she takes a break from working, especially since she did make A painting, but just not finish THE painting she'd planned on using for this week's episode.

Val, it's your show. You could do it twice a week if you wanted. You could do it twice a month. You could have no schedule at all. It's up to you. We're are very blessed that you post regularly. Don't feel guilty about relaxing now and then. Keep up the great work. =)

you know i have a funny story

i went to costco yesterday with my sister and we bought some strawberries to make some icecream and some jams. So you know how costco always has those super big containers of stuff right? So we ended up buying this container of strawberries, we got home and it was MOLDY! i was so ticked!

i am now checking all of my strawberry boxes when i buy them from now on haha

I think the one of the sky looks lovely. See, one person would just paint the visual of the sky. You capture its feeling and spirit. I think you do that with a lot of things and the effect is wonderful.

Most cities require a permit for the construction of fruit and cream based structures more than three inches tall ... a friend of mine was off work for three months after an overly ripe peach rolled off a fancy dessert and crushed his hand. Regarding your shelf: make a 45° cut to remove the sharp corner then rout the top and bottom edges ... this gives more clearance and less "ouch" if your head hits the shelf. Keep in mind bubble wrap is only good to the last "pop".
