Lol these guys are so awesome I laugh when I watch them. And no this isn't sarcasm I like really laugh these guys are so amazing that I actually laugh. I want to see them live SO MUCH.
I like a band that moves to their own music. Ever see performers literally stand still like a petrified corpse while showing no emotion throughout the performance? - Irritating.
@SuperNoobTroll go out and talk shit about them as much as you can! Free publicity for a band that knows how good it is despite your "well educated" assessment of them. I hope you enjoy your music as much as we enjoy Arcade Fire. Opinions don't really matter to anyone but yourself anyways.
@BertilUlfsson Haha. That post was funny as hell. Though they seem to be over the top artist weirdos in their demeanor during the performances, they are actually some of the most well adjusted, normal people you will ever see in the spotlight. Check out some interviews and you will see what I mean. Thanks for the laugh.
@strokes8771 the magic of pro-tools, their producer, and the appearance that they are doing something original because they have a large ensemble. news flash: large ensembles have been around for hundreds of years and, if you take the time to educate yourself, 99.99% of them are superior to this misdirected noise
@SuperNoobTroll fuck off u probably listen to shit pop music like bieber and whatever and i hope understand this is progressive rock and i dont no if u no but there's a lot of bands that r this type of music so fuck off and listen 2 real music like arcade fire, cage the elephant, the black keys, and the beatles insted of katy perry and lil wayne
@SuperNoobTroll im not comparing them 2 the beatles these guys will b remembered like the beatles cause there goo please u cant compare any one 2 the beatles
Win is presidential - seriously, reminds me of a young George Bush. God bless these young American bands, they are the foundation of our free capitalist democracy.
I like the fact that when he's on stage, Win just does whatever the fuck he wants. Wether it's giving Regine a peck on the cheek as she sings, going out into the audience, or standing on a piano, he is usually the most fun to watch. Amazing song, btw.
Did you know that Arcade Fire only has ONE music video that isn't fully interactive? All the others have their own websites, since YouTube doesn't support interactive music videos without those stupid annotations.
Did you know...? The song, We Used to Wait, actually features the real PacMan themesong hidden within the song near the end. This works like a pun; An arcade game song inside an Arcade Fire song
@pollywolly67 If the number at the end of your user account means the year you were born then you should have seen HUNDREDS of bands that love the music they make and are absorbed by it and completely in the moment during live performances. This band is good and all but not the first to be IN IT IN THE MOMENT.
@1235788888 Sadly I'm only 15 but i wish I could've lived in that time when bands actually played music because that's what they loved to do. I think I love Arcade Fire so much because they were inspired by the great bands that came before them.
@pollywolly67 You can still listen to their inspiration and their influences. That's the beauty of music. Listen to one, will lead you to another and then another and then another.
There's an interesting interview with Jeff Tweedy (front man of Wilco) where he says "I hear a lot of music today––and to me, it doesn't sound like the people making it even believe in it...so why should I?" Agreed. Though...
It's not like I didn't already know this song really well but I just stumbled upon this performance and by the end I found myself literally moved to tears. Quite, quite stunningly brilliant.
@AthiestFeminist watch some of the concert videos or impromptu (spelling?) lol. Arcade Fire will start concerts deep in the back of audiences, sometimes. Win will also walk far into the crowds, haven't seen him get mobbed, those where huge venues to :)
@tashious Not to mention sometimes they even invite as many people in the audience that they can fit on stage to join them for their closing song(usually when the closing song is "Wake Up"). Although, it seems to piss off the security guards! Haha!
This reminds me of "Mountains Beyond Mountains"
