A joke? I wasn't aware that remaining accurate to the libretto was considered a joke. In fact, it seems to make perfect sense to follow directions. I'm all for regietheater, but there's no need to criticize an amazing and accurate set.

This production looks like Wagner on DMT.

Let's hope the 2012 production doesn't look like this foolishness.
