Oh this is pretty cool. I've also got a galaxy black asus eee 900. I love it. I bought AmigaForever2008 for it so it would be my new amiga. But the sound emulation is pretty terrible at 900Mhz. :( Then again, I had that voice cancellation on by accident. Gotta try it again.
Shit, I keep forgetting! I saw you asking about it in my IRC logs, but then went to Helsinki and forgot all over again. I'll dig it out, finish it off, then upload it :)
Not such a shame - the software I used there was a commercial app which happened to have a fairly poor quality input monitoring screen in the Options menu. I've since discovered a much better thing called Debut Video Recorder - freeware, and much better featured. Should be able to scale the image to get around the Eee's limitations and besides, newer Eee models all have slightly bigger screens with regular aspect ratios :)
aaahh, cool. I'm not too keen on the idea of scaling tho, so if the newer eeepcs aspect(i.e. 901) can handle a 1:1 - would be much better.
I just need all these manufacturers to quit releasing better and better UMPC on an almost daily basis, then I might be able to finally go for one or the other. :| First it was the eeePC, then came the MSI Wind, now this new Acer Aspire One and also the eeepc901, Dell, etc. urgh, decisions decisions! ;) They're great tho, so I must get one soon.
I typed a huge reply and my browser went and lost it:) I basically said check out eBay and get ready to spend a LOT of cash...OR...think seriously about why you want to upgrade. Unless you have specific software that really needs 50Mhz plus, then maybe don't bother. A stock A1200 with maybe an 8MB RAM card and a hard disk (or CF/IDE) is a cool machine to play with, for loads of cracktros, intros, demos, most games, most apps... Two of my Amigas are pimped, but the other 8 or so are all stock.
Hello,
I want to get an easycap to use my EEE as monitor to watch SatelliteTV
Is the processor fast enough for a fluent picture?
And is it also fast enough for Recording, or only watching?

great idea. shame about the screen clipping. would have been a perfect solution otherwise.

of course, I mean 2:1. 2 PC pixels for every Amiga pixel would be great, without weird interpolation in-between.

Has "Beyond Stars" been uploaded to your website yet? I had trouble finding it.
Beautiful stuff though.
