this amp is sick. if u want to play pop punk or even hardcore. use the drive channel, have the drive down really low and use a boss os-2 pedal to generate all the grunt and tone. if u do that u will pull a really top clean but heavy sound. if u cant pull a good sound with this amp then ur a fucking retard.
Hey folks, i also went out and picked one of these amps when they first hit the music stores here in Bangkok & this is what i found makes this amp sound awesome, similar to it's cousin (Fender Twin Reverb)..the first thing you need to do is go out and get yourself a "BBE SonicStomp" SonicMaximizer Pedal and set the "Low Contour" @(#10) & "Process" @(#7)(#8)or(#9) and this actually makes your "Fender FM212R" sound like you just loaded new Celestions GreenBacks into it!It works for me every show!!

As for the distorted sound? how many of you use that instead of a pedal? tranny distortion is never going to be great but it's ok. It's a great every day working amp, should be reliable. Amp snobs won't like cos it's a budget fender, I was looking at it cos my vintage musicman amp and cab weigh a ton.

My neighbour is selling a Fender FM65 for pocket change, and since i just bought 2 Fender Deluxe Strat`s from early 90`s, id go for a Fender amp to. And for the price of it.

Boss GT-10, Fender 212r Frontman and a Dean guitar :) it's a monster with all of these!!!!! belive me am playing and the house is saking :P all of these will cost u only 2210 euro with particular guitar :P but ofcourse u can do it with what ever guitar u like :P dean's not nesecery :P for an example the same thing happen's with a behringer :P not the same sound but monster like again... @RigorMortis203 I just bought a Randall RX120RH half stack that fits my needs perfectly. Some people say it doesn't have enough gain and they use a pedal, it has enough gain for me. I also bough an Ibanez TBX150H half stack as a backup. They both sound pretty good, but I won't use the Ibanez unless the Randall breaks or if my friend needs it for one of our gigs.
Nice job on the guitar, and I really like that amp. I'm planning on buying one, so this vid helps me on my decision a good bit. I don't think it would hurt to plug a Digitech RP350 into one of those amps will it? My last amp blew, but its wattage was a lot lower.
Dude... turn the more drive channel up all the way... bass to 3 reverb 5 treble and mid to 10 and use your bridge pickup.... thats how you show what the drive sounds like.... ugghh... i dunno my drive sounds alot more... crunchy
i was gonna get this amp till i realised that it sucks for distortion! even on the "more drive" channel it still sounds like its on the clean channel.
I been really debating whether to get this amp or the Blackheart Little Giant Half stack tube amp, but the only problem with that amp is there is no master volume, it's either 3 or 5 watts. So thats why i'm most likely going to go with this amp and the Boss ME-25 Multi-Effects pedal so I can get some really good metal sounds when I play metal, but I really love the clean channel on this amp.
But after watching you play, I really like the amp, it seems it sounds pretty good.
(rodrigoconstantino) have this amp and i use a boss ds1 stomp box. it works brilliant and leaves my poor marshall in the shadows. if you really want metal though look into the boss ds 2 (turbo distortion the boss mt 2 (metal zone) or the boss md 2 (mega distortion) i know there all boss but i hope this helps
If you whant to play things like Metallica and Megadeth DONT buy this amp! My friend have this amp and it sounded way to "weak" for any metal. Buy this maybe if you whanna play som rock or something (My friend is more in to that so he still think is a good amp). Its and good amp but just not for metal..
its kinda easy, just put the amp in a neutral config (all knobs at mid point).
connect ur guitar to the cab, in input, and ur cab to ur amp, (the cable must be in the "output" of the cab and in the usual place where u insert ur guitar cable in the amp).

I own the Marshall MG50DFX for awhile now, its a really good amp, very good Dist and beautiful cleans, i have had some problems with it tho, in one gig i blew the speaker i had to change it, then the gain pot. broke, when i turn it on the fan makes a really weird noise, for like 30secs and sometimes the Gain channel dosent work you have to go back to the clean channel and back to the Gain to it to work, thats why im lookin now for a new amp, but when it was brand new i had no problems with it
i recommed buying the amp, but getting a distortion pedal, for example boss ds2 aswell, because the distortion isnt that great but the rest is amazing

I have, and I was approximately 10 times better on it..
ive used it for about 2 years. the clean channel is great for pedals, they come out sounding how thyre meant to unlike with other amps, so thats good. the over drive channel is useless to me. its good for light sounding blues tones. and these will only sound good with single coil pickups. start turning up the gain and its just horrible, muddy and thin sounding. dont touch the moer overdrive button.
the volume knobs only have to volume levels, quiet and loud. this is a real pain when onstage.
yeah, i ran one through its clean channel and used a heavy distortion pedal, something u could use would be like a digitech death metal distortion or a boss metal zone could work. it takes pedals real good and they sound great. plus with a distortion pedal u can very from a fuzzy sound on the amp and the clean channel with a foot switch and you can get a harder sound with the distortion pedals for more grunge and heaviness to the sound.
this shit blows i have it and i regret every moment i play it ....you cant even rehearsal with a drummer with this amp

It is pretty heavy. if you cant drive and you'd be taking it to places by walking i just wait till you can drive and then you'll be fine.

i dont have this amp but ill try to explain.
its kinda easy, just put the amp in a neutral config (all knobs at mid point).
connect ur guitar to the cab, in input, and ur cab to ur amp, (the cable must be in the "output" of the cab and in the usual place where u insert ur guitar cable in the amp).

I own the Marshall MG50DFX for awhile now, its a really good amp, very good Dist and beautiful cleans, i have had some problems with it tho, in one gig i blew the speaker i had to change it, then the gain pot. broke, when i turn it on the fan makes a really weird noise, for like 30secs and sometimes the Gain channel dosent work you have to go back to the clean channel and back to the Gain to it to work, thats why im lookin now for a new amp, but when it was brand new i had no problems with it

i recommed buying the amp, but getting a distortion pedal, for example boss ds2 aswell, because the distortion isnt that great but the rest is amazing

ive used it for about 2 years. the clean channel is great for pedals, they come out sounding how thyre meant to unlike with other amps, so thats good. the over drive channel is useless to me. its good for light sounding blues tones. and these will only sound good with single coil pickups. start turning up the gain and its just horrible, muddy and thin sounding. dont touch the moer overdrive button.
the volume knobs only have to volume levels, quiet and loud. this is a real pain when onstage.

yeah, i ran one through its clean channel and used a heavy distortion pedal, something u could use would be like a digitech death metal distortion or a boss metal zone could work. it takes pedals real good and they sound great. plus with a distortion pedal u can very from a fuzzy sound on the amp and the clean channel with a foot switch and you can get a harder sound with the distortion pedals for more grunge and heaviness to the sound.
