so...i have to get back surgery...im pretty sure anyways....
and i'm extremelyyyy terrifed! i've never been this scared in my life! and i was just wondering...is there a lot of pain? i mean, do you sometimes feel like giving up at times? and also...how long is it until you can get back to doing the stuff you would normally do?
@Brie2015 HI:) Don't be extremely terrified. haha. There really isn't a lot of pain, (I was worried about that too) after you get it, you are on a lot of medicine so you are really out of it. And I'll admit, the day before I left the hospital I thought to myself, "will I ever feel the same?". haha, but don't you worry. and you can do everything you did before the surgery after a year. but you can start getting back to doing things after, 6 months, 9 months, and yeah. everything will be okay. <3
@ashhh26 after the surgery, you are on a bunch of medication so you don't feel any pain but you are really out of it. then a few days before you leave the hospital, they gradually start to let you off of some medication so the pain is a little more but you get to bring some medication home with you.(: after 6 months, you can start to do more stuff like jog and stuff like that. but after a year you can get back to pretty much all the stuff you did before the surgery.
@kaleykreate995 well scoliosis is when your spine is curved. and you have to get surgery to straighten it when it gets really bad and a brace wont work.
Im 13 years old and I have scoliosis and I used to wear a brace at night, nut a doctor took me out of it for over 6 mounths. Now, I have to wear it 23 hours a day.
I had the surgery about a year ago and i spent my birthday in intensive care! My surgery was on the 3rd of july and my birthday is on the 4th! Your back looks really good. I hope your recovery is going ok.
