Most of the bp drugs used by hmos are cheap drugs- Lisinopril, Amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide, all about 5 to 10 cents a pill, so I find it hard to believe treating bp with meds is a money driven conspiracy to sell drugs. The way the money is made is you take a 10 cent pill and don't have a stroke or heart attack that costs your hmo 10's to 100's of thousands of dollars.
