To be fair, this is a cover version (in the game). And it wasn't exactly fair to Alex...at least Neil had a mild analogue to his instrument, and Geddy just had to sing his part.

What is sad is that many young people believe that being good at guitar hero = being a musician & that if they can do that well that it is easy to make music, they then begin to associate all music in the game as equally easy & begin to lump epic talent like Rush & King Crimson into the same boat as Godsmack & Korn, whereas the latter is barely suited to be invited to a local bar to play more than once a month. Most of them are tone deaf as it is but games like this just make it worse.

I agree very much with your viewpoints on the game music but Godsmack & Korn hold their own place in music as much as Rush, Dream Theater & King Chrimson. I prefer Prog Rock myself but if you want to start bashing bands l think we have plenty of lame crap much more suited than those. Everclear, Blink 182, Weezer (they're catchy and funny though). I won't waste any more of my own time with a list but you get my drift.
