  • oohh shit! i LOVE this song...perfect

  • such massive engines. love it!!!!!

  • I think AF uses 744s to YUL. AF says they are going to use A380s From Paris-Montreal.

  • @richard165s Air France has been using the A380 to YUL on a daily basis since late April. They also use the B744 a few times a week.

  • Perfect landing period. For those of you that don't fly you can't understand it. No time or runway lost.

  • HalloYulSpotter:The most Beautifull And belle aircraft of the world today.Thank:you So much for more this video.Alessandro 2971.

  • COWBOY LANDING!!!

  • Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to your ex colony!

  • Ce type d'atterrissage en douceur m'impressionne toujours autant compte tenu de la poussée énorme restante... Ces types font preuve d'un sacré sang froid.

  • really smooth landig but it was an autolanding i think, wasn´t it ?

  • I'm guessing one of the two crew members yelled "Flare Damn It" at just the right time!

  • OMG!! that flare was unbelievable!!

  • Comment removed

  • THE ENGINES ARE HUGE ON A BOEING 777 :L its nearly for the same width as the plane :S

  • bad landing

  • i think flying is great but its important not to do it too much otherwise you lose the liking for it. if you do it to often then the enjoyment of it just turns it into a feeling of a boaring bus or train journey. i always like a flight to be more than just transport and like to enjoy the scenary.

  • Autolandautolandautoland!! :D

  • I´m still amazed at how majestic the 773 looks. Kind of a hurried flare, but smooth landing.

  • Flare anyone?

  • Air France has the best livery design. Extremely simple, elegant and sharp. It's been the same for over 30 years. Just this year, they've slightly modified it.

  • Where in the video is the flare? I am trying to figure that out. Is that when the pilot lifts the nose up slightly right as the back wheels are preparing to hit the runway(at :29 secs)?

  • @Cappadoccia04 Yes, you got it exactly right. The flare helps to slow the aircraft thereby killing off the last few feet before touchdown. It also assists in making sure that the main gear touch first providing a nice smooth landing. If you ever get the chance, watch a large bird such as a seagull come in to land. They also use the flare.

  • @Cappadoccia04 There is flare, the flare doesnt have to be dramatic, just needs to raise the nose a bit higher to reduce the rate of descent of the last of few feet. There is flare here but it isn't dramatic because the plane was probably light from it's long flight.

  • Beautiful!

  • Big flare smooth landing :P

  • CAT IIIB! butter smooth landings.

  • nice vid 5*

  • nice pitch up and wing flaps great landing!

  • kiss landing and very large engines lol!

  • he flared quite fast, but a good landing

  • I would still rate this as a bit rough, imagine if you are the first passenger and you felt that tug....the actual touchdown was smooth, but that hard pith wasn't. I guarantee that was not intentional.

  • very good landing

  • GIANT ENGINES !!!

  • spectacular landing, cause that pilot did the flare late , almost he eats the concrete runway ¡¡

  • Great Landing..i like the last raise up before landing..that's awesome

    ..

  • Never heard about 773 before. What kinda plane is it?

  • I guess its a Boeing 777-300.

  • That would be correct. 773 is a short way of writing 777-300.

  • A boeing 777-200 but than longer and with less range that the 777-200LR

  • ..think so, 773 sound's like 777-300 than

    -200..

  • its the new product of boeing, its a B777-300 , a larger version of the B777-200.

allmost every big airline has got one these days, Air france, KLM,Air canada,ANA,...

  • @jendoslavek if you ever work at an airport you will learn that boeing planes drop the third number for the series number to shorten it up. 738 is a 737-800 and a 744 is a 747-400 series.

Each plane has a full 6 digit series on their tail like 737-824 or 727-212...as for the last 2 digits my only guess is it is a more specific model number in slight differences between each set of planes in the series or new equipment being added that previous models did not have coming from the factory.

  • The last two numbers, sometimes letters, indicate the original customer. You can find what they stand for by googling it.

  • "The" perfect landing! presque comme toujours chez Air France

  • Those are the biggest jet engines ever.

  • flare was a bit to late.

  • weird landing!

  • Wacko flare!!!

  • a rapid flare like that might have been caused by being slow on short final, where altitude is controlled with power and airspeed is controlled with the attitude, if he was a little slow, he may have delayed the flare until absolutely necessary to avoid losing airspeed and possible causing a rough touch down.

  • the airplane flared rapidly.

  • u make me wanna play fsx :D

  • LOL same

  • that was cool!

  • awesome

  • God that flare was ballsy!! Love it...

  • a wild flare that was o.O

  • i really love the 777-300er they are so damn quiet on takeoff also the thrust rev when landing.. most of all i like the new ge90 engines they are hugh and lots of thrust but very hush hush hardly no noise.. thumbs up for boeing 777 series

  • what a flare!!!

  • cant wait till they get back the AA 777 at RDU and get rid of the 76

  • Man!!! what a flare! i bet the passengers were like! SHIT! wtf? lol ^_^

  • i dont think it was that big of a flare

  • It was a normal "sized" flare, although you can't really call a flare big.. It was just a sudden flare. The plane was for the most part flat, and then it suddenly flared right before touch down.

  • It is so large! And the engines, are so huge!

  • What a violent flare!

  • @leocunhaisba concorde flare lol

  • do you have this video sped up?

  • No - this video is at normal speed.

  • Nice landing, but wasn't the flare quite abrupt?

  • Big General electric Engines wow!!!

  • Airbus 340-500 is much more sophisticated aircraft than Boeing 777..eventhough economically 777 is better but flying continously over water 777 lacks its ability

  • 777 can fly over water at max 207 minutes from land. There are very few places over water the 777 can't fly in.

  • i like the 777-200ER but not the 777-300ER

  • really there is no difference

  • lol armchair pilot - get a grip. Do you know how hard is it to put a 300 tonnes aircraft on the ground at less than 25 feet a second? You idiot.

  • Actually, it should be B77W for Boeing 777-300ER. B773 is for the regular Boeing 777-300

  • The Best Plane .... 777

  • yea its very big and the engines r very huge

  • Very nice video !!

  • 773 means 777-300 series.

  • 773 means 777-300 series. Idiot

  • Comment removed

  • The thing is, if one of your engines goes out, you lose half your power and on the A346 you only lose 25%.

  • classic landing, he was going down fast and then did a quick flare, very nice capture.

  • agreed :D

  • Is 777 aircraft is bigger then the A330 , A340 or its smaller then those ?

  • The 777-300 is longer than the A330 -200, A330-300, A340-200 & A340-300.

  • do you know why there has never been a 777 that is equipped with a winglet in the tips of its wing?

  • The Boeing 777-300 has a raked wingtip. Instead of there being a winglet sticking up from the tip of the wing, the raked winglet is flat like the wing but is swept back at a much higher angle than the wing. This provides greater fuel efficiency while keeping the wingspan from being longer. The Being 767-400 also employs the raked wingtip. All variantes of the 787 except for the 787-3 are supposed to have raked wintips.

  • because it has raked wingtips instead which has a similar effect

  • Hey yulspotter,I don't know if you have heard the news yet,but Air France is supposed to get it's first A380 by the fall and it looks as if Montreal may be the first route they will put it on.You should have lots of nice pictures of that i am sure.A good reason to plane a trip to paris. ; )

  • Yes, there has been a lot of talk of Air France using the CDG-YUL route for flight tests on their new A380. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. I hope so though.

  • I don't think so YULspotter that the 777's engine can fit the fuselage of a 737 into this engine I've read that this is the largest engine created for one aircraft. the b777 is awesome

traveling in a b777 is a good experience and comfortable even in tourist class

  • quite a sharp flare but it worked out perfectly for him! nice landing!

  • i think propably yes

  • Are the engines bigger than the 747-400's?

  • The GE90-115B engines are much larger than that of the 747-400's. The GE90-115B's fan has a diameter of 128 inches. You can fit the fuselage of a 737-200 into this engine. The PW4000 series used on some 747-400's has a fan diameter of around 94 inches.

  • I agree with you 100%, but it is hard to believe that you could fit the fuselage of a 737-200 inside it, interesting though.

  • Triple seven's have biggest engine diameter

  • and my God thats a huge plane look at those engine wouldlike to fly on a one of these 777 once

  • i must say that that is a hell of a pilot because thats a nive landing

  • i wonder how the passengers felt when the pilot did that sudden flare just a few feet from touchdown. just seeing a huge plane like the 777 rotate 5-10 degrees that fast seems unusual.

    your videos are FANTASTIC!!!

  • True. Very fast flare pitch up just seconds to touchdown.

  • Yeah, they never really do that fast of a flare that low.

  • such a massive plane and those engines are huge!

  • They are larger than the fuselage of a 757.

  • I don't know where you heard that, but that's bullshit

  • The best plane EVER created.

  • Amen.

  • That was a sweet one.

  • awesome!5 *

the 77W is my favorite aircraft!those engines are amazing though!

  • Awesome vid, awesome bird.

  • Great landing!

  • Perfect landing!!!!

  • Great landing Great 777 INCREDIBLE engines cool video thnx for uploading it

  • those engines are huge

  • Air France are an excellent airline. The 777 seies 300 is a fantastic plane. I flew with Air France to South Africa return this Christmab on a 777 300. I flew in April ,06 to Tokyo return on an Air France 777 300.I only have praise for the airline and the plane.

  • that was agood landing

  • All that power, fantastic sound, thanks!

  • 06R, no?

And yeah, that seemed like an abrupt flare.

  • Yes 06R - a mistake on my part. I have made the correction. Thanks.

  • That was a pretty abrupt flare.

  • OK... did I miss something here? It lands...

  • no damn crash?

  • That is what the title says. lol
