  • He was a real blessing to Mickey Mantle, as mantle was dying he called for Bobby Richardson to let him know that he had received Jesus christ as his saviour.... Mickey had been witnessed to by Bobby for years and after Mantle was in his "final Inning" he called to have Bobby stop by he wanted to let him know.. "that God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" and that whosoever..INCLUDED MICKEY MANTLE

  • My uncle loved this guy! He was class all the way! Man, could he hit in the WS! And could he field.

  • Some of the finest players I've ever met and had fun with them all while at shows. Bobby Richardson is my favorite! Thanks for sharing this truly amazing video!

  • Bobby Richardson was always my hero.I know Ed Lucas the interviewer, became friends with scooter while Phil worked at a men's clothing store in the off season in N.y. I heard that Ed Passed away not too long ago. I hope it's not true.

  • Bobby was a great, sure-handed 2B. He would have been about my favorite player...well, if it wasn't for all that god crap. Hahahaha

  • A truly fine person and a "1" glove man in SOM baseball!

  • Holy Grail of baseball footage is Bobby Richardson catching Willie McCovey's liner to end Game 7 of the 62 Series. I have never seen it, nor have I ever even seen a photo! Weird. Has anyone?

  • @Jhensy2001 I have. I'll try to send you a screen capture. Sorry. I even have a radio call of it on home on CD.

Glad that Terry got his revenge from his '60 WS loss. He was great in game 7!

  • My first baseball idol. Great man. Wish I could meet him.

  • You have good taste in baseball heroes. Bobby is truly a fine Christian gentleman and was a great Yankee. He still holds the record for most RBIs in a World Series (12). Not Babe, Mickey or Reggie, but Bobby. He is also the only losing player to be World Series MVP (1960). Definitely the best Yankee second baseman - post World War II.

  • wow very rare thanks for posting i enjoyed watching it
