  • this fucking song rocks! (pardone' my dammed "french"!) : }

  • Whoa!! You folks need some ED.Hollis was just making historic Zep-Yes stuff.DD were not even in the mix,

  • Comparing Talk Talk with Duran Duran is comparing apples with pears.

Fact is: Both bands stand for the 80s at their best.

  • let's face it, duran duran had the looks and their spindocters combined their music and aperance

with style and fashion, and that sold like nothing else, because that concept was relativy new in those days. Second thing is that they really could sing and play, so they were not something like the next boy band who cough up some lyrics in sync, so they deserve all the credits for their contribution in the music bizz. talk talk is great, but not for a big audience, so that's why they never made it

  • I love Talk Talk and Duran Duran. But I see these comments are gonna turn into a debate between the 2 bands, very similar to MJ & Prince. But what happened to just enjoying them both?

  • @therealsoulproduct I couldn't agree with ya more. I also love DD AND Talk Talk (*gasp!*). Both bands are great in their own respects and there's no sense in people fighting over them. People need to sit back, relax, STFU and enjoy the music.

  • durran durran , media stuff, talktalk talent ,sorted

  • @91musicmaster Duran Duran was actually very much inspired by Japan - not only their music but also style.

  • Here is where Vocals stand forfront!

  • @91musicmaster Sie haben Recht mein Freund

  • Funny, I read the post bymgm2112 just after I put on my Facebook that they were "Simply the most underrated band from the 80's."

  • Talk Talk was a very good band that was injusticed by the dandism.

  • uh oh...I like both Duran Duran and Talk Talk. Good music never was a guarantee for becoming popular. I am just grateful Talk Talk was there and made some great music.

  • Talk Talk was one of the BEST bands to come around. Why didn't they make in the states is beyond me! Great vocals, great music and so different from what others were doing back then. I have every cd they released and never tire of listening to them...and now on this site, I can watch them! They were great!

  • talk talk fucking sucks they are the worst...NOW...take that comment and flip it, the reverse becomes true...so yes, talk talk = perhaps the fucking greatest band in music history. should have bin up there with duran duran and u2

  • this song is really about all the beiber lovers

  • They were brilliant ahead of their time but sadly yes not pretty boys... They deserved so much more for their creative content... So much good music made in the 80s and alot of it original not like now all rip off old hits from the 70s and 80s...

Very few good artists in the 2000's you can never forget good artists SIMPLE.....

  • I have not heard this since it was a hit - really fabulous!

  • Mark Hollis genius!

  • This is what the dum dum girls are named after? WTF?! xD

  • I'm pretty sure Tom Petty actually sang back-up on this sing...

  • Great song

  • Beautiful music from this guys in tyhe eighties and underrated....It´s a shame.....MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music on my channel!!!!

  • attention aux virus!!!!!

  • Bliss and can I have my youth back!!!!!!!!! Grin!!

  • de lo mejorcito, no tengo palabras.

  • Sensitive treatment of a difficult subject (prostitution)...

  • its about time mark hollis/talk talk were in the music hall of fame.

  • Great album

  • Why the hell Talk Talk didn't get bigger than Duran Duran is beyond me. Much better lyrics and music...but they weren't pretty boys. I guess I just answered my own question. Never mind! LOL!

  • @mgm2112 you dont look at me you dont talk to me im better than you

  • @mgm2112 Duran Duran? I don't know, frankly I wouldn't compare both with each other. Yeah, there are some really nices songs composed by DD, but TT is by far more musically advanced. When thinking of TT, I remind of bands like Ultravox or Roxy Music, not Duran Duran. Anyaway, TT is still one of the most underrated bands out of the eighties.

  • @mgm2112

Hehehehe, yeah, it's true, and i think that talk talk play in different and complex universe than the simple duran duran. Music with attitud and beyond the laugh and the good feeling it's complicated to become popular because radio and people in general don't want to discover hidden feelings (and perhaps uncomfortable)

Sorry for my english, i'm spanish!

  • @mgm2112 Not so. The Men of Talk Talk were Handome, but it was their music was not. You listen to Duran Duran's music it was so upbeat and lively, wheras Talk Talk's rhythm was Sad and Depressing. Mostly low-key.

I loved Talk Talk also back in the 1980's, don't get me wrong. But their Big Ticket Song "It's My Life" nearly brought out tears from My Eyes just from the rhythm alone the very first time I ever heard the song in 1984. We should not be too judgemental on looks alone.

  • @mgm2112 "but they weren't pretty boys" yes, and also Talk Talk was not a too much mediatic band, and a lot of more things.

  • @mgm2112

As for me I don't give a damn about look as long they sound great.

  • @mgm2112 No, they weren't pretty boy pin-up model types. But I thought at least Mark Hollis was handsome and had a pretty smile, and the rest of Talk Talk weren't hard on the eyes at all. :) But I guess that's not enough to compete image-wise with the likes of Simon Le Bon, et al. :(

  • @mgm2112

    they were pretty ;)

  • The amazing thing about Talk Talk songs is that they can either be seen as triumphal and life affirming, or sorrowful, depending on one's own perspective.

  • Awesome music---Sorrowful melody...

  • Ooooh ever so great!

  • i lurve this song....does it have a real vc?

  • I type that in without brain... I agree completely

  • sorry!

  • and it's also true when you lose someone

  • When you have lost some you love, this song is the perfect way to transform the negativism and agony into energy.

  • This song has its own gravity pole, its own positivity, presented by the sign of such a great band as TALK TALK!! Using capitals for writing it is more than accurate!

  • Cool

  • damn!! someone´s pissed off! lol!

  • It's 1985 all over again. Cheers.

  • had never heard this one. very nice. same "it's my life" mood.

  • We know Mark Hollis has a voice like no other but Paul Webb's backing vocals are amazing as well!

  • @boypoet7 you took the words right out of my mouth!

  • Love it...

    Ooo, those years :(

  • Good son and I always like their other hits that they had. I really like all their songs. The one I could pick the most is Life is what you make it and Its my life. Thank you for putting these up. I really enjoyed them.
