  • @maximgrg1 it was the word negro NOT the other word... It was funny back then and if you are doing a skit like this it should be a JOKE, that is what a joke is... It does not mean you r a racist if you r joking around.]

  • This shit wasn't funny motha fucka! Steve wonder was a musical genius! Ur motha gotta wood leg with a kickstand motha fucka!

(dose anyone know where that's from? Extra browny points if u do!!! Lol)

  • @SarahLillianJamison Delirious obviously :)

  • @ConanLindsay lol

  • I remember seeing this live! Happy I have the DVD cause this clip is chopped and sux!

  • I wasnt around then, just slightly missed this but its really funny! And its when the world wasnt so PC and easily offended

  • nearly pissed myself when he said "you're blind as a bat.."

  • @lambie1985 I too am offended being a bat myself I wouldn't want to be put in the same category as Stevie Wonder.

  • Eddie and Piscopo carried SNL in the first half of the 80's.

  • @CoolerKing37 Hell yea Piscopo was so underrated back then.

  • very funny skit and this song IMO is a lot better than the Paul McCartney/Stevie Wonder version, I could never stand the Paul McCartney/Stevie Wonder version of this song.

  • OMG!! i luv this skit.. it was one of my fave skits. brings back so many memories. comedy was so diff back then cuz there was really no limit. now u got NAACP, ADL, retard activist group and homo rights groups cracking down on comedy to sensor it. like WTF?? i mean whatever happened to the days when u can call someone a nigger, spic cracker, honky, paki, hebe, kyke, chink, RETARD or FAG? the sensorship now is rediculous!! i mean it's all in fun right?

*** dedicated to our future pioneers***

  • @TheConspiracyMan8 People still use these pejoratives and, funny enough, nobody is arrested and carted off to jail for using them. Sure, they risk social censure, as opposed to outright censorship, but it was always that way for anyone who dared to say anything that was unpopular, regardless of the era. Anyway, this was not a skit about being politically incorrect. It was poking fun at that treacly Stevie Wonder/Paul McCartney duet and Sinatra's image as a guy out of step with the times.

  • Blazing Saddles...classic :)

  • It's going to be like this in Eugene tonight! Anthony Joplin, and Boomer are bringing it to Diablos!!! 8pm in Duck City!!!

  • I just thought of this skit a few minutes ago, while sitting at a restaraunt. I just started cracking up. Had to find on youtube. So funny

  • I loved snl back then!! Eddie Murphy was THE best, though!

  • Thanks for posting this! I saw a little bit of it on today's Oprah and was hoping I'd find it here.

  • "we're talking salt and pepper...Sammy and Dean..Stevie and Me are Peachy King"..talk about off the wall comedy...those guys had good chemistry on that show..i miss those days.

  • @THYCHANIE it's Peachy Keen!...NOT Peachy King...

  • who's that Frank Sinatra Jr?

  • @PrinceTrexus its Joe Piscopo

  • @PrinceTrexus Joe Piscopo

  • That's not Sinatra!

  • @GSpeedEmotion i was about to say the same thing. Joe Piscopo all the way.

  • Did anyone ever hang frank sinatra on a hook?

  • @john17972 ummm... its Saturday Night Live. its a show that makes fun of things...

  • Just peachy king ,baby.

  • very lol

  • "...you are blind as a bat, while I have sight..."

    LOL

  • ".....stevie and me are peachy keen..." "you are white" "you are black...andddddd-da who careeeees...who cares baby..." and then he kisses stevie at the end..

i used to have this on vhs

its awesome :) love both sinatra and stevie xo

  • Beautiful harmony!

  • "You are my amigo, negro!"

Muahahaha... Saturday Night Live was funny as hell back in those days...

  • @VelvetViolator Life before political correctness. People didn't get offended... they laughed! Best example: Mel Brooks' 'Blazing Saddles"

  • @EroSennin6669 You are very right! Today's "comedy" is all about naming and shaming or putting people in bad light. Nearly nothing to laugh about when you look at the pollution, poverty, starving people while moneybags getting richer, disrespect for flaura or fauna...We're heading into the next depression era...on the fast lane. Sorry for the melancholic moment !

  • @VelvetViolator Yes it was. I went to high school with Molly Shannon, still some funny shit from that era as well but this is a CLASSIC.

  • Stevie Wonder's a musical genius mother fucker! *snort*

  • @mcd0009 Dont you NEVER let me hear you say that shit again ILL FUCK YOU UP.

  • @mcd0009 i suppose at the end of your little sketch stevie crash into a tree right HAHA VERY FUNNY MOTHER FUCKA

  • "You are blind as a bat and I have sight..." That was hilarious. Piscapo must have had to practice this a hundred times to keep from cracking up during the actual show.

  • His name is Joe Picapoe

  • "You're as blind as a bat, and I have sight" B'hahhahhaha!! Whole version is the bomb!! I remember seeing that live, and almost dying from laughter( not possible, eh?)

  • my amigo negro lets not fight lol

  • That's it? Not even going to show the whole skit?

  • Hey thats not funny mutha fucka! Ahhaha

  • Considering how we are so PC today, does anyone think this skit would get a negative reaction if it was aired today? Just curious to hear your thoughts....

  • @b73xx Absolutely. That's kind of what wrecks humour, sometimes. Eddie Murphy was SO friggin' funny when he was on SNL!!

  • It's such a shame that the sketch isn't here in the full. The chap who apes Sinatra is awesome " you are black and I am White, life's an Eskimo pie let's take a bite, you're as blind as a bat and I have sight ". He provides the best moment on the Best of Eddie Murphy SNL.

  • I've never liked Paul/Stevie's version of that song at all but I really like this song a lot

  • i could watch tis all day .......... all over and over again......... john piscipo and eddie murphy was the funniest on snl

  • awesome stevie Wonder impresonation !

  • Life's an eskimo pie.

  • what the hell man!

  • anyone know where to find the full version?

  • Now George, you know that's Joe Piscopo not Frank, right?

  • Funny as hell - but the full version would be nicer!

  • georgespeedys.weebly.com

  • The young people will dig this one! LOL
