So the word is world then? lol Cool BB. He once hold the world record as DJ talking and spinning the records for the longest time sometimes in the '50s. Think he was allowed a 5 min pause every hr and at end he was hallucinating because deprived of sleep.

It is world or whirl. And whirl makes ZERO sense. I cannot find a copy of the lyrics. It could be "A teenage moon and a rock and roll whirl" but I don't see how the latter makes sense.

I also googled for the lyrics but ended up with zero. But it must be world! Remarkable little about Jiles P Richardson aka Jape (nickname, due to his 2 first initials) aka Big Bopper on the net and just lyrics to about 5 of the songs he sung. Compare that to Eddie Cochran (I'm a big fan of him). There I can find about all his lyrics. BTW, you US people, can you answer me a 25 year old question. What does Chantilly in "Chantilly Lace" mean? Does it mean anything at all? I mean, maybe it's...

Anyway, Chantilly lace is a delicate kind of bobbin lace. Bobbin lace suggest that it is sewn with a machine to me. I'll look into it more in a bit. But it IS a real type of lace

For a guy who was around as a singer for such a short time he sure made a lot of records! Johnny Winter told me that he used to listen to the Big Bopper's radio show when he was growing up in Beaumont. Waaaay cool!
