  • plz understand muay thai originated from cambodia. it was a branch off of an ancient khmer martial art called Bokator. why do you think kun khmer and muay thai are so alike in every aspect? because they are the same thing!

  • in a real world ... if human not a coward ... may be human can beat other animal like a Tiger .... i said may be ...

  • Khmer Pride!

  • These guys are so full of s**t. You should watch the last part of this Human Weapon when the guy fights the Muay Thai champion, its a joke. I hope this guy isnt an indication of the skill level of mma fighters.

  • wery good skill

  • i hate listening to people talk about how bad ass muay thai is. Wow, you obviously learned about it from ufc

  • Just found this video, saw your comment before watching it, even though I havent made any comments yet on this video, I'd just like to point out Ive known about Muay Thai long before I discovered UFC

  • that's a horrible argument.

All you did is confirm that one person(You) has learned about muay thai before hearing about ufc. What I'm saying is that alot of ufc's fan base has learned about it from ufc, because that style is the only one ever talked about on ufc. Chill the fuck out

  • MMA is an embarrassment to martial arts

  • Amen

  • @rikuwillkillu MMA is a good sport but as practice in UFC is just that a sport Muay Thai and Muay Boron, for the educated martial artists that know what that is ;), are full martial arts and combat sports as well I love muay thai and Marine corps martial arts if I could only pick 2 that ive practiced=)

  • Actually there is no "Muay Buran" (Buran is of Khmer origin). Muay Buran loosely means "ancient fighting" (styles). No one learned the Muay Buran style, they would insted have learned- Muay Korat, Muay Chaiya, Muay Lopburi ect... these are differant styles from differant regions of Thailand and have differant strengths. These were the precursors of modern Muay Thai and would all be under the heading of Muay Buran.

  • @Buxxby That is true, however if i said "Karate" no one learns that either, it means empty hand and could refer to many styles, i dont limit myself to styles they have limits martial artists do not, impressive knowledge btw as u know many martial arts are hybrids of ancient techniques including the combat sport of Muay thai "Thai Boxing" good eye for that, nice to see educated martial artists... I have my own habits and have trained in traditional Thai techniques (Muay Thai gym) as well

  • Thank you and I agree with what you have written. Well said

  • @Buxxby it's muay boran not buran

  • @Zerolimiter402 Actually I would have to see it written in thai to know the correct spelling....but yes most usually spelled boran not buran.

  • Actually I learned Muay Thai from my Aunt that is Thai and from a friend that is a cornerman in Muay Thai fights.

  • Muay thai is what lead me to MMA and then UFC so you're very wrong.I knew about muay thai wayyy before mma

  • well great, YOU found out about it from somewhere else, but it doesnt mean that everyone else did

  • Same here

  • Muay thai fighters have good hands and powerful kicks, but their bread and butter its the clinch...they have devastating elbows and knees from there and even some throws...but my favorite technique is the flyng knee, I think the jumping elbows are banned cause they are way too dangerous... correct me if im wrong...also Im not a striker so Im assuming a lot of things Im a blue belt in Gracie Barra BJJ by the way

  • many people who said to learn muay only learn a part of muay thai

because many moves of muay thai is banned cause they are too dangerous.

Muay Thai as we are seeing as sports today can't be called 100% muay thai.

Muay Thai was invented to fight in battlefields and that means TO KILL.

You have to posses a strong body to withstand all those deadful attacks.

  • i want to learn muay thai

  • i learn muay thai however i would like something with grading and am considering changing, any suggestions?

  • @rbernard28 well not in the states.....

  • @thaiboyger where can i learn muay thai

  • knees and elbow unique? all southeast asian martial arts emphasizes knee and elbow strikes...

  • thats true

  • these guys are crazy quick and strong, and they look like they dont use weights and such to get stronger

  • this is a very strong style......I.m TKD AND AIKIDO MASTER,,,but i don't want fight against Muai Thai fighter....it.s also too dangerous in beginner fighter...

  • i agree with you , cz im also an aikido and had some tkd in my life , but i wont be able to get in a ring against a muay thai fighter

  • This Jason guy is supposed to be a pro mma fighter why does it seem he has never even seen Muay Thai or realize the damage you can do with knees and elbows?

  • its probably just scripting

  • Thats becose they have like 6% fat and all other is bones and muscle.

  • i notice all these thai fighters are all tall and very thin n skinny, why is that?

  • bony elbows +bony knees= pointy human knives

  • what no muscle?idk bout that,gotta eat

  • Thai people have a good diet, those guys train Muay'thai from the age of 6,,,they are pure bone and muscle,,,and a good diet and a extremely good condition, wich keeps there metabolisme high,+ they are training from the age of 6 so there bones are adjusted to al the kicking and smashing making there bones more larger

muay'thai is bloody, brutal, but the best sport there is,except from Muay'boran!

  • i train muay thai since 13 years !

  • Welll,i just wanna say i defonatly have big respect for people training the awesome martial'arts of Mua'thay,,and that aint ment sarcastic!

hope to train it some day!

if my knee allows it rofl!

  • @Hornydog200 prodol serey and bokator sukka!

  • thai people are like that by nature, they also have better diets than americans, they have much less body fat than americans based on their diet and phylical conditioning which keeps their matabolism at a high.

  • Thai men for the most part are all pretty skinny. These guys LIVE Muay Thai, and condition non stop. like nepaaiskinamas said, next to no body fat, the rest is muscle, and bones.

  • Probably all the kicking made their bones in their feet stretch and adapt making their feet longer...

  • "like human cock fighting" gimme a break... ive sat front row at lumpinee and there was no blood flying on me... sensationalist BS

  • bad quality -_-

  • lmao they sound like the kids form sandlot when they talk about fighting that champion "man he cracks skuls open and breaks bones!!! ZOMG!!"

  • so is this show a copy of fight quest or is it the other way around?

  • ya im kinda pissed cuzz it says humanwepon not fight quest and human weapon is better so ya i think this guy made it human weapon to get more views

  • Human Weapon came out before fight quest

  • What are you talking about? It says human weapon because this show is human weapon, not fight quest.

  • It is best if you would firstly go to Laos and learn Muay Lao as it is cheaper and is a much closer relative to Muay Thai except it is Muay Boran in style.

Headbutts and throws are allowed in Muay Lao and the lessons are cheaper to train in and stay or live in as compared to Thailand.

Laos is a very sleepy and laidback country but they have some of the best masters in teaching Muay Lao and it is the cheapest place to go and learn whilst you live like a KING.

    Hotel : US $3.00 a night!!

  • Lol wow u talk so much shit, its almost funny

  • no even close are they better, they are better at making wooden shoes and better yet they are dumb enough to walk in them.HA!

  • hahaha nice call

  • dutch people dont make wooden shoes and they dont wear them that was hundreds of years ago... and btw i would rather wear wooden shoes then having a name like super ninja nub!

  • no way you love super ninja, thus the super HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

  • yeah, 'super ninja' sounds like something sonic would do.

Sonic: Alright, i got the NINJA EMRADLS, I'll turn into SUPERNINJA!!!

  • k so u call ramon dekkers a dumbshit that should make wooden shoes instead of winning world champion ship 8x?

  • ?????????wooden shoes!

  • This series was excellent. MUCH better than the copycat crap from TLC.

  • No pure Muay Thai guys in K-1?? Do u even watch K-1....do u know who BUAKAW is....

  • Rofl what i wuz saying i live in america therefore i cant get the best of Thai taining cuase it's watered down like any other martial arts here dummy

  • Every fighting style has it's strength, and it's greatest strength can become it's greatest weakness. Just have to find it and use it against. :)

  • Man i train in Muay Thai but im in america so you know....there's no really good Thai gyms here they say they are but there just th watered down versions of muay thai and half the fuckin instructors only know the basics then try to throw sum american Kick-Boxing on it bitch i didnt ask for Kick boxing i asked for thai Boxing itz sad how america steals martial arts and fuck'em up by Modifying them.I understand know why we get beat in K-1

but man these guys in Thailand are the real fighters

  • I training muay thai

  • Muay Thai is really amazing

  • what was the name of the thai champion?

  • it's how u use it

  • Muay Thai = Ultimate Striking

  • Excellent series, really miss it. Jason and Bill were good hosts.

  • And my goodness, muay thai and tae kwon do should respect each other. they come from very similar situations, both styles were born from hundreds or perhaps thousands of years of war and combat. While muay thai still retains its original form (due to its lack of civilization development), tkd has been commercialized because korea developed into one of the big dogs in the world so the need for real tkd for the public has been diminished. Korean army i heard still retains most of its original form

  • I wonder how these guys can be ready to take on a Muay Thai champion after just 3 days of training.

  • it's fixed

  • awesome thanks

  • Okay. Sorry but this has to be said. TaeKwonDo in America generally sucks, it has become more of a sport than a martial art, and it has become extrememly comercialized. TaeKwonDo, the way it's meant to be done, doesn't. It depends on the school, the teacher, and most of all the person. I have seen Tae Kwon Do fighters who are beasts, as well as ones who are gay. Learn more about the Martial Art before you trash it, and don't base your opinion on the commercialized crap that has become mainstream

  • TaeKwonDo taught in Korea, and TaeKwonDo schools anywhere that focus more on the actual techniques and skills from the style before it was corrupted are great.

  • taekwando is not from japan or china.

    it's from korea.

  • and it sucks

  • yes it is..

    haha..

  • you guys suck

  • the Tae Kwon Do "sucks" because it is not an Martial Art anymore its a Martial Sport, but just a Sport.

  • Please check out also my HUMAN WEAPON video, it's same video only about SAVATE BOXING.

  • lol i wanna see them do sumo! that would be funny as hell!

  • i can't hear shit

  • the quality is so fuckin bad !!!

  • I h8 this show, nothing against the two guys or the ppl who watch this show, Mind Body and Kick ass moves is way better, imo

  • crazy stuff respect for all those ppl

  • you dont use gun powder in martial arts

  • lol i'm so happy to be 50% Thai

  • muay thai kicks ass

  • muay thai is deadly

  • Probably the best striking martial art, along with boxing (most successful striking styles in MMA). In Muay Thai you can do more moves than in boxing though. So I think it's better.

  • Indeed. A MT practitioner who's got some shoot wrestling under his belt (I prefer Sambo myself) is extremely dangerous because of how quickly a takedown can be combined with heavy strikes.

  • Honestly, I'd prefer to face a Muay Thai fighter then a Sambo fighter. At least Muay Thai, I know what to do about.

  • Oh yeah sambo is pretty good too.

  • i prefer not to face any M.A. :P

  • So do I :P

  • hahahaha

  • yeah grapples I even say it's a 50/50% could win or lose but also depends how skilled both fighters because they will do whatever it take not to be grabbed or whatever also they have some grapple moves but they hardy ever use it, like a MMA or UFC fighter.

  • have you ever fight against a Muay Thai dude?

  • I learn muay thai in sheffield and its deverstating. i love the sport and im proud to call my self a Thai boxer, so yeah fought against a Thai boxer in sparring and you do come out with bruisers. the worst thing about it is clashing shins though when the trainer says the word my spine goes cold, it fucking hurts, yeah its true for some degree most of ufc and mma is fuaght from the ground.witch can be at times one of the boring things about it, id dont want to see some one tapped out.

  • yes and its like fighting a studded wall

  • true muay thai like tkd? that doesnt even make sense man..TKD came from japan..or china right? so how can that have anything to do with muay thai?

  • yu guys dont no anything about the martial arts that comes from korea tkd comes from korea. muay that for obviously thailand

  • First of all TKD comes from Korea. Second theyre similar in the fact that they are striker styles.

  • TKD is nothing compared to muay thai , in tkd they don't even teach you how to punch , not to mention the knees , elbows and low kicks

  • eh, i agree the commercialized form of tkd now is nothing compared to muay thai. But you should know, tkd was once as brutal and deadly as muay thai. TKD was a complete form of martial arts, consisting of punching, kicking, trapping, take downs, grappling, ground fight, submissions, everything. TKD was for military but it's been bastardized by the business and sporting industry. Did u know that the original tkd founded by gen.choi had 7 basic elbow strikes?

  • that's like saying wrestlers suck in a stand-up fight

  • muay thai is WAY better than boxing and more deadly.

    BOxer VS Muau Thai boxer

    obviously the boxer would lose

  • id say theres no ''ultimate'' martial art

its all up to the fighter

  • true =D

  • because it utilises both legs and arms it is better.

  • not gonna lie i like how they wrap their hands back then..shit is sick..haha "they dipped it in water to harden the fibers" haha..tight...but yea u can do it witout that..just on contact turn fist and pull down usually or across..u can cut em like a blade if u on a hard enough spot

  • you will be bashing nothing. as soon as you throw a punch you will over extend your body leaving your legs or lower torso exposed and you will have a couple broke rips. ive trained in muay thai for 2 years and ive faced many "boxers" before and destroyed them.

  • zanbatou0017, how long did it take you to get into the basics of muay thai properly? i want to train in muay thai for self-defense. just in case.

  • took me about a year to really become flexible enough to preform some of the stuff, its been almost 3 years now and im considered an advanced student. not nearly as good as some people who train their whole lives though

  • that's cool. my initial reply to you was like 7 months ago though. lol. since then i've been training in muay thai. been 6 months now. i don't intend to fight though it's just for self-defense. i got the hang of the basics for about 3 months. it's all good. i love the sport. :)

  • keep training dude..u be better in no time

  • Boxing in all fairness sucks compared to Muay Thai and Muay Boran. Watch some of Tony Jaa's demonstrations and you'll see why.

  • Please describe some more for me how you would randomly pound my face in. I find it very interesting and I am both impressed and scared. [/sarcasm]

  • wats betta muay boran or muay thai i thought muay thai was jus muay boran wiv rules so that would mean boran was better but i would lyk 2 no cos im not sure

  • grammar much ?

  • y use grammer on a computer

  • Muay Boran is more formed and contains no rules. I started out learning Muay Thai but I dropped that after a year when I heard of Muay Boran. Muay Boran is what true fighting is all about.

  • Glad the sound on this doesn't blow...

  • MuayThai was original from THAILAND

    MuayThai had many branches too.

Such as "MuayThai Boran", "MuayThai Chaiya".

  • correction man true taht muai was "fromed" in thailand but muai boran is cambodian thai took it from us as well as our land when we got ambushed by 3 differnt counrys so we lost

  • haha nice to talk with you BITCH, and I dont' wanna stop too...

Cambodia or Khmer've tried to copy MuayThai from THAILAND.

Look at the wars in many years ago... or World War. THAILAND is No.1 in SouthEastAsia. How come Thai people want to copy your Shit!!!!

CAMBODIA or KHMER copied everything from THAILAND even Language and Culture!!!!!!!!

  • I think that your answer can be proved by only knowing that, the martial art that is known as one of the best fighting styles on one-vs-one (proved by the MMA competitions for 15 years) is MUAY THAI, and not Khmer boxing or any other similiar-MT-style.

  • Thailand has a great history and people can be very tough there. They are smiling but when they are pissed off... run.

  • dude shut up i do muaythai and ill fuck you up

  • good on you dickhead. want a medal?

  • Respect for muay tay!

  • your bones are 40x stronger then cement

  • that's completely false. the only bone in the body that's comparable to cement is the femur.

  • I think he wanted to mean 40x stronger than FRESH cement XD

  • Quality is more than bad....sadly

  • the heavy bag does toughin a bit but not as much as punching brick or somthing like that ... i do it and seems to work vvveeerrryy wel in my fights but if your not up to punching somthing that hard then o well lol...your choice not mine..Good luck .

  • You're punchin brickstones or am I understanding just wrong? I'm just curious, cause it should damage your bones also.

  • yea, that can seriously dammage your hands, use sand or slingshot ammo, i use bbs, but im going to use the steel stuff when i cant feel it when i hit those

  • Well, I use a heavybag with sand. I'm more for the classical stuff. And it works for me.

    Never tried bbs.

  • you're right. its pretty nonsense to tell that your punching brickstones, our bones would break if someone would do that. maybe thats the way he boast supernatural physical power.

  • well, if you break your hand, you will form a calcium deposit, and that will make it almost impossible to break it again if it forms right

  • Fake Name not Original name.

  • does hitting those heavy bags toughen the shins and fists? i really need to know, because ive lost every match of bloody knuckles in the last year :(

  • Yes it does! I do muay thai and it used to kill. Now my shins and fists are covered in callouses and my nerves are somewhat deadened.

  • Yeah it works.

You should also practice some chinese iron palm training, it never hurts.

  • i filled a pillow case with BBs, and ive been hitting that about 3000 times every other day for the last few days on each hand, will that work?

  • Eventually, but be careful not to maim your hands.

  • lol, how long will that take? should i use something bigger like slingshot ammo?

  • take it easy, its not going to happen over night make sure you dont do to many reps

  • being hit by a muay thai practitioner's kick is the equivalent of being slugged with a baseball...

  • all these weight and power and like bla bla is going on my nervs...

Did you saw that human weapn thing about Judo ?

    It was realy dramatic...

I am a Judo practiosioner myself, and it can be a dangerous martial art. But Kano formed it for a ingurefree sparring, this part was complety left out. Much shittalking less facts in human weapon...

  • it's not our fault that the best fighting style in the world is the strongest.

a knee equals a car hitting you at 35 miles an hour.

  • And my ballz equal bla bla bla... whatever dude...

But i agree that MMA is the best martial arts in non-weaponcombat.

  • mma is not one martial arts but multiple martials arts hence why its called mixed martial arts of course if you take the best things out of many arts then its going to be better then one single one

  • yeah, you wouldn't have any balls anymore after a knee dumbshit

  • MMA means mixed martial arts by the way, so i don't know how MMA can be the best martial art, when its a collaboration of several.

  • cavemen were first

  • you are right. There are movements which you can do with developt arms and legs like ours. So the first human "fighters" were the first humans. But the question is, how good was their technik.

But bascily i agree with you, and its the best answer to this never ending converstion.

    Thank you !

  • Who were the first people to start fighting? Was it the Indians? Chinese? Greeks? Imagine a situation where there's no tech knowledge to make guns or other weapons more sophisticated than a crude knife from bronze or iron. What you will get is people fighting with what they can make and hold, like traditional martial arts. So which was the first nation/race to start fighting? It's a ridiculous question.

  • the term "human cock fighting" is just a little insulting.

  • Well i prefer that to "human dick fighting" lol

  • i want to say something witty, but i'm too tired. you win.

  • FU...

Heared of Pankration ? And Shaolin has its roots in India...

so i would say mainly martial arts came from india and Greek

  • wow, odd way to look at it.

but pankration is ONE martial arts.

dozens more are in Japan, and dozens more than that in china. (and like 3 in america, a couple in thailand, one in iraq and one in france)

I think its all the oriental asian counries.

  • You are speaking of nowerdays.

But the roots are laying somewhere else...

  • oh. A'ight!

  • anyone of you know the name of that indian martial art? it was called pallakahayu or something like that. something with a "p" that's all i know. it's supposedly the very oldest of all martial arts.

  • thanks for postin this show, man
