The fact that Lieberman, as an experienced politician, had to have understood the likely ramifications of supporting a presidential candidate from another party shows that he was following his conscience and supporting the candidate that he thought would do the best job for the American people. Unfortunately he is in the senate until 2012 (elections every six years). He has a 61% disapproval rating in Conn. I hope he gets cast out, but Senate democrats are too weak to do it. Progressives have only a handful of representation compared to our numbers. The Republicans and Democrats are corporate whores, Democrats being the lite version. Now that Obama won - progressives need to unite and vote for an Indie party to move this country out of the extreme and middle right wing.

In this election a senator accused the Dem. nominee of not putting his country before his party and called him a Marxist. This senator campaigned for down ballot republican senators and house reps. This senator said that it would be harmful for the country if the democrats had a filibuster proof majority in the senate a majority in the house and a democratic president.
