@ArcanaKnight Just admit....you're an ignorant LIAR. I NEVER made any such claim and you CAN'T address Dr Stewart's points because even you know they make perfect sense. The only "rebuttal" you have is to attempt to shoot the messenger.
I wonder what they do over in Asia, anyone know? Such as Japan, South Korea, even China etc. How are they handling vaccinations? Are they having the same problems, are the manufacturers different, as well as the schedules?
@L0v3brittany Yes, different countries are supplied by different companies, they have different schedules, have different thimerosal loads, and removed it at different times. Japan even went so far as to make the MMR shot voluntary for a while, which predictably led to a large drop in vaccination rates and an increase in those diseases. The one thing not affected by all these different variables though? Autism rates.
@ArcanaKnight Thimerasol isn't the only factor though is it? So strange how natural selection just doesn't seem to work for our brains. You'd think with a species that depends on it so completely....that and our opposable thumbs.....evolution would have worked better sorting it out.
@L0v3brittany - In Japan Autism rates are actually increasing in Japan considerably with the last 5-7 years. True this is not all due to toxic vaccines, but due to the food supply. Obviously Japan's main food source comes from the ocean. The fishing, whaling and pollution laws from what I know are very relaxed in Japan, surprising for such a beautiful place.... (Contin POST 2)
@L0v3brittany- (Contin from Post1) So, contaminants Mercury and other poisons, find there way into the fish. A popular scenario is purposely mislabeling dolphin meat, (which is highly toxic with mercury) as fish and whale meat. The vaccines are not helping this situation, although the laws are different there. But needless to say because of mercury, the population is being plagued with the same affects. For more info about Japan, watch "The Cove" I strongly encourage anyone to watch it.
@kacyt83 One problem with that hypothesis though is that the presentation of heavy metal toxicity, and mercury poisoning in particular, doesn't really match the symptoms of autism. Another problem with it is that towns like Taiji which have much higher mercury levels than the rest of the nation don't also have a corresponding increase in the autism rate.
We can also see that the mercury in vaccines doesn't cause autism just by looking at the autism rate in countries that have gotten rid of thimerosal in childhood vaccines; there hasn't been so much as a blip in the rates as there should've been if it were one of the causes.
@ArcanaKnight - It basically comes down to what you WANT to believe. All the evidence is very clear, along with the causes. Living in the information era we all have the ability to find the answer. The research I have done, shows that the drug/pharmaceutical companies provide prescriptions and vaccines that usually weakly tested and include carcinogen ridden chemicals.
@ArcanaKnight - As far as "autism symptoms"- there are many different levels, w/ a wide spectrum of symptoms. Really there is no 1 perfect way of diagnosing autism. (Going back to the toxins and vaccines) This would make misdiagnoses rather easy and blamable on family genes, don't you think if a multi-billion dollar company didn't want to get caught. Sound like conspiracy, but this is hows it really works in our country. Another documentary to watch - "Gasland"
@kacyt83 Conspiracy theorist nonsense. That is just hand-waving to get around the fact that the evidence doesn't support your conclusion. There is no evidence that the misdiagnoses are somehow concealing an actual rise in autism, nor any reason why it could; the percent of cases that are misdiagnoses should remain about the same, so if the number of cases would be increasing, the number of misdiagnoses would rise, but it would do so in proportion to the number of actual cases.
The evidence IS clear, you've just chosen to believe the least credible/most flawed studies because it fits into your conspiracy mindset. Dozens of studies and real-world examples have shown that there is no link between vaccines and autism or thimerosal and autism. Every single supposed cause that anti-vaxers have pointed to as a supposed cause for autism has turned out not to be true, but instead of reevaluating their conclusions about vaccines, they just point to the next ingredient in line
@ArcanaKnight - So what evidence would make you believe that toxins are being fed to us all, and influencing our society? What would you have to encounter for that to ring true for you?
@kacyt83 What are you talking about? I'm not disputing that seafood has mercury in it, I'm just disputing your incorrect conclusion that those contaminates are causing autism.
@ArcanaKnight - So what evidence would make you believe that toxins are being fed to us all, and influencing our society? What would you have to encounter for that to ring true for you?
home schooling, sorry let me introduse my self i m from Brazil, we may be not as strong as USA in laws butwe have the freedom to not take our kids to vaccination,we use natural medicine and our school don't dictate the kids to have it,i personally i got only 1 flu shot in my live time.....your body have the protection that you need.
Herbal remedies and a healthy lifestyle won't protect you from viral infections. Vaccines are damaged viral particles, basically dead or non-functional. Which can be used by our body to create antibodies which will make us immune to these diseases. Many children have already died as a result of the ideologies which drive this movement. Don't be stupid people, this one's a no-brainer.
@Cdubzhappy - you are wrong. Toxic chemicals are used in these vaccines. When they are given in multiple "cocktail" injections they can overwhelm a young child's undeveloped immune system. It is no accident that autism rates in the United States are up 800% in the last 30 years.
@cwcascales Correlation, not causation. By your logic, one could just as easily claim that the introduction of home computers is what caused the rise in autism. Do you have any actual evidence to support your claim, or is this along the same line as Jenny McCarthy's "mommy sense trumping scientific evidence" nonsense?
Whether it is MMR, thimerisol, aluminum, etc., every time the cause of the supposed danger is shown to be safe, they just move onto another one instead of reexamining their initial assumption that vaccines are the cause.
I highly reccomend that anyone who watched this video also watch Why People Ignore Vaccine Denialists.
I love how the anti-vaccers will say that nearly anyone critical of them or supportive of vaccines is on the payroll of "big pharma" when there are films like this which feature experts who would profit from undermining conventional medicine like homeopaths; heck, in this case even the director was a naturopath.
@ArcanaKnight - the people behind this film make a tiny fraction of what the giant pharmaceutical companies make by peddling their poison. Over 100,000 people in the United States die each year from the side effects of legally prescribed "drugs." Doctors are not taught nutrition in medical school. All they know about these dangerous vaccines is what they have been told by the manufacturers of them.
@cwcascales Nobody will claim that the system is perfect, but the side effects of vaccines are much milder and rarer than the effects and side effects of the diseases that they protect against. Just look at mumps (which is on the rise because of anti-vax fearmongering reducing vaccination levels). One common side effect of mumps is orchitis (which occurs 20-30% of the time) which can also lead to sterility; compare that with the common side effects of vaccines CONT
@cwcascales such as fever (16%) or a mild rash around the injection site (5%), or even more serious side effects like seizures (.03%) or serious allergic reactions (.0001%), and you can easily see that the risks of vaccines are far outweighed by the benefits.
There is also the fact that over a dozen studies have shown that there are no links between thimerosal and autism or vaccines and autism whereas the studies anti-vaxers point to are flawed, cherry picked, fraudulent, etc.
@ArcanaKnight - who did the studies? The pharmaceutical companies that sell this poison. Look, the rate of autism has risen 800% in the United States since these multiple dose cocktail injections were put on the market. If a child is going to receive a vaccine it should be a single dose at a time giving the immune system time to work with it. Multiple vaccines given in one injection can simply overwhelm a childs immune system.
@cwcascales As I literally just said before, that is correlation, not causation. Do you have any actual evidence that vaccines are the cause of the increase? If you were to actually look at the history of autism, you would see that the increase is mostly, if not wholly, due to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance; this is further supported by the fact that autism is more commonly diagnosed in wealthy areas.
@ArcanaKnight -orchitis can be treated and is not life threatening. Autism is for life.
If we are going to have vaccines they need to be given one at a time with plenty of time in between to allow the immune system to work and recover. It's all about money though. I think that the profit motive needs to be taken out of drug manufacturing. When companies are making hundreds of billions of dollars, their only incentive is to find more reasons to produce a drug quickly, cheaply, and then market it
@cwcascales That was but one side effect, other permanent ones include deafness and Meningoencephalitis. Also, vaccines have been shown time and again to not be a cause of autism, its genetic. A 2002 Danish study was done comparing autism rates between vaccinated and unvaccinated, and found that there was no difference.
Pharma companies do have incentive to produce safe vaccines, because they are still able to be sued by those hurt by their products.
@ArcanaKnight - pharmaceutical companies cannot be sued by those hurt- and there are millions- by their products. The government prohibits liability suits against vaccine makers. The United States government has a fund which pays pennies on the dollar for harm done by FDA "approved" vaccines. Autism is not "genetic." Otherwise the rate would not have gone up 800% in the last 30 years- and only in the United States, which is the leader in mass vaccination given in these multiple doses.
@cwcascales Yes, actually they can be sued. The vaccine court was set up to expedite claims, and if someone has something from a list of known side effects, it is pretty much an automatic payout, but even if they're turned down for compensation by the vaccine court, it doesn't mean that they can't still sue.
A study which was published last week in Nature is another that shows that autism has a primarily genetic cause.
@cwcascales Also, the autism rates of the US, Canada, and UK are all about the same, so your last claim that it is only in the US is demonstrably false.
@cwcascales The rise in autism rates can be attributed mostly, if not completely, to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance. The fact that it is most commonly reported in wealthy areas is further evidence of this, as is the fact that it has been climbing steadily instead of having a sudden jump when those vaccines were introduced which is what we would have seen if it actually was a cause.
@ArcanaKnight - If the rise in autism rates could be attributed SOLELY to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance, where are all the 60 year old autistics? I've met many children with autism, yet strangely I've never seen nor heard of adults and seniors with autism in numbers that even come CLOSE to matching those found in children.
@iDarkAvatar89 That is because it is the parents that worry about it (especially new parents), and so bring their children to get tested; older people have had time to workThere is also the fact that the symtoms of autism start presenting within the first few months or years of life, so it is exceedingly rare for a previously healthy adult to begin showing symptoms absent some sort of traumatic event. CONT
@ArcanaKnight CONT "[The increase] reflects greater recognition, with changes in diagnostic practice associated with more trained diagnosticians; broadening of diagnostic criteria to include a spectrum of disorder; a greater willingness by parents and educationalists to accept the label (in part because of entitlement to services); and better recording systems, among other factors. CONT
@ArcanaKnight CONT (Taylor 2006) An earlier review of the literature by Rutter also found that applying the modern criteria to the historical records yielded similar rates of diagnosis. Another study by Chakrabarti and Fombonne looking at autism rates in the same community as an earlier study found that using the old criteria on modern cases yielded rates comparable to the older study.
@ArcanaKnight - If that's true, then why are none of my Parents or their brothers and sisters on the spectrum? Why aren't my grandparents and their considerably large family on the spectrum? We have no history of it, yet it's genetic?
@iDarkAvatar89 Genetics are funny like that. It may have been a recessive gene that didn't start presenting until the current generation, or it may have presented in previous generations but as a minor case or in an otherwise different way. I can't really comment on of your specific case because 1) I'm not a neurologist and 2) even if I was, I don't have the specifics about the case history or any other data. Your doctors would be the ones to go to, and as you said, they say it was genetic.
@ArcanaKnight - The recessive gene decided to present itself in the current generation? That would mean all the other families who have no family history of autism, THEIR recessive genes must have ALL decided to present themselves in the same generation as mine. But that's just a coincidence, right?
@iDarkAvatar89 As I said, I am not a neurologist and am not familiar with your specific case, so I couldn't really say. Your doctors are familiar with the information about your case, and as you said, they said it was genetic. If you have questions about why it is showing up now, I would recommend talking to one of the doctors familiar with your case. It may actually be a coincidence that it is showing up in your generation (remember your relatives that don't have it were also vaccinated).
@ArcanaKnight Nah they weren't, not with as many vaccines as i was. I'm Samoan by parentage. Most of them were raised in Samoa and weren't vaccinated at all. I and the rest of my autistic siblings were.
As you said, you can't really comment on my family history as you don't have all the facts, but my story isn't unique. There are many families with no history of autism and yet the youngest generation are full of them. As the saying goes: Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.
@ArcanaKnight - You misunderstand me. I'm saying that there should be 60 year olds who have had life-long autism that weren't diagnosed in their childhood back in the 50's. They don't exist in numbers that match the present childhood autism incidence rate. Why is that? Even in my own family where 6 of my 8 brothers and sisters were vaccinated and ended up on the spectrum (including myself), 2 of which weren't and - funnily enough - are NOT on the spectrum. The docs say it is purely genetic.
@iDarkAvatar89 The older cases would have been diagnosed with something else, such as developmental language disorder. It is only under the new criteria that they would have been diagnosed with autism.
@ArcanaKnight - They would have. If they had autism. But no matter how hard I scour the net, I can't seem to find any stories of 60 year olds who show signs of autism. If it is indeed genetic, then at least 1 out of every 166 children born in the 60's should have had autism, misdiagnosed or otherwise. In a country that had 179,323,175 inhabitants in the 60's, are you saying that we really missed hundreds of thousands of people with autism and are still missing them to this day?
I wish this issue could be resolved ASAP. It's obviously so critical. First of all there is all the evidence presented here, but on the other hand thimerosal was removed from vaccines and autism occurrence has not decreased. We need to do some good studies and give this the attention it deserves.
@pinoboy773 - it's the multiple combinations which are responsible. A young and undeveloped immune system cannot deal with all these substances when they are given in a single injection. Autism has increased 800% since these combinations came into being.
and since 98% of the US population is FULLY vaccinated, that should tell you that vaccination may not work as well as we thought. That and the CDC plays games with the numbers, just go read the website and keep track of the numbers on the different pages about pertussis, then apply some critical thinking skills and see where you get.

What I kept thinking, and this Doc didn't address, is exactly who was it that had such a vendetta to put Alan in prison. Without hardly any hard evidence that he shook his baby, why the prosecution. Seems like more criminality to go along with all the other criminality detailed here. Truly shocking and maddening.
It wasn't so much of vendetta as laziness and the assumption of guilt and bad parenting, imo. I have to say, more often than not, people assume the worst of others...especially parents.
It's far easier to point fingers and lay blame at the parents feet than to do research and investigate.
Prisons are privatized in US, i'm not sure about worldwide. Meaning - prisoners make money for private companies. Furthermore, the litigation system accounts for a high percentage of the GDP in the US. So in short, lawyers, judges, courts, all need to have as many criminals as possible so they can make more dough. The answer can be a bit more broad, but that's the gist of it.
Yes and its much more than autism. In my studies of this topic there is a corrolation between vaccines and the rise in cancer & all autoimmune disease. This is much bigger than is even shown in this video... more than just the mercury, its a toxic soup. Thanks for this video.
Beware: Mandatory Swine Flu Vaccines are coming in the fall of 2009! ?Don't take it and pass this video along to all those you know and love. People need to be informed. It is not only little infants and toddlers that are being killed and made chronically ill, it will be those you know of all ages soon. Check it out. The flu pandemic is genetically engineered and they are going to vaccinate you soon. Don't ignore this. Stand up and speak out for freedom before it is too late.
One of the best and most informative documentaries I've ever seen. I will definitely do my own research, before entrusting my child to the Medical industry!
If I could give this program a 10-star rating, I would! Outstanding in all respects. Perhaps young parents will be awakened and babies lives will be spared through this information, so carefully and thoughtfully presented.
"your body have the protection that you need" That is demonstrably not true. The body's inability to protect itself from these diseases is a historical (and in some places, present-day) fact; this is why outbreaks of these diseases were common before the vaccines were introduced.

A few questions I have for "People who are not going to or have not vaccinated their child"
I am not encouraging vaccinating children. I am trying to understand the alternatives to vaccinations.
Do you worry about illnesses? Where do or will you go if your child gets sick?
(God forbid) How would you plan to treat sickness such as:
meningococcal disease
tuberculosis
papillomavirus disease
Since the vaccines are mandatory in public schools, how do you or will you educate you child?
Thanks-

Japan even went so far as to make the MMR shot voluntary for a while, which predictably led to a large drop in vaccination rates and an increase in those diseases. The one thing not affected by all these different variables though? Autism rates.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight Thimerasol isn't the only factor though is it? So strange how natural selection just doesn't seem to work for our brains. You'd think with a species that depends on it so completely....that and our opposable thumbs.....evolution would have worked better sorting it out.
mykoolaidtastesfunny 1 year ago
@L0v3brittany - In Japan Autism rates are actually increasing in Japan considerably with the last 5-7 years. True this is not all due to toxic vaccines, but due to the food supply. Obviously Japan's main food source comes from the ocean. The fishing, whaling and pollution laws from what I know are very relaxed in Japan, surprising for such a beautiful place.... (Contin POST 2)
kacyt83 1 year ago
@L0v3brittany- (Contin from Post1) So, contaminants Mercury and other poisons, find there way into the fish. A popular scenario is purposely mislabeling dolphin meat, (which is highly toxic with mercury) as fish and whale meat. The vaccines are not helping this situation, although the laws are different there. But needless to say because of mercury, the population is being plagued with the same affects. For more info about Japan, watch "The Cove" I strongly encourage anyone to watch it.
kacyt83 1 year ago
@kacyt83 One problem with that hypothesis though is that the presentation of heavy metal toxicity, and mercury poisoning in particular, doesn't really match the symptoms of autism. Another problem with it is that towns like Taiji which have much higher mercury levels than the rest of the nation don't also have a corresponding increase in the autism rate.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
We can also see that the mercury in vaccines doesn't cause autism just by looking at the autism rate in countries that have gotten rid of thimerosal in childhood vaccines; there hasn't been so much as a blip in the rates as there should've been if it were one of the causes.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - It basically comes down to what you WANT to believe. All the evidence is very clear, along with the causes. Living in the information era we all have the ability to find the answer. The research I have done, shows that the drug/pharmaceutical companies provide prescriptions and vaccines that usually weakly tested and include carcinogen ridden chemicals.
kacyt83 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - As far as "autism symptoms"- there are many different levels, w/ a wide spectrum of symptoms. Really there is no 1 perfect way of diagnosing autism. (Going back to the toxins and vaccines) This would make misdiagnoses rather easy and blamable on family genes, don't you think if a multi-billion dollar company didn't want to get caught. Sound like conspiracy, but this is hows it really works in our country. Another documentary to watch - "Gasland"
kacyt83 1 year ago
@kacyt83 Conspiracy theorist nonsense. That is just hand-waving to get around the fact that the evidence doesn't support your conclusion. There is no evidence that the misdiagnoses are somehow concealing an actual rise in autism, nor any reason why it could; the percent of cases that are misdiagnoses should remain about the same, so if the number of cases would be increasing, the number of misdiagnoses would rise, but it would do so in proportion to the number of actual cases.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
The evidence IS clear, you've just chosen to believe the least credible/most flawed studies because it fits into your conspiracy mindset. Dozens of studies and real-world examples have shown that there is no link between vaccines and autism or thimerosal and autism. Every single supposed cause that anti-vaxers have pointed to as a supposed cause for autism has turned out not to be true, but instead of reevaluating their conclusions about vaccines, they just point to the next ingredient in line
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - So what evidence would make you believe that toxins are being fed to us all, and influencing our society? What would you have to encounter for that to ring true for you?
kacyt83 1 year ago
@kacyt83 What are you talking about? I'm not disputing that seafood has mercury in it, I'm just disputing your incorrect conclusion that those contaminates are causing autism.

MrBoomSonic 1 year ago
Herbal remedies and a healthy lifestyle won't protect you from viral infections. Vaccines are damaged viral particles, basically dead or non-functional. Which can be used by our body to create antibodies which will make us immune to these diseases. Many children have already died as a result of the ideologies which drive this movement. Don't be stupid people, this one's a no-brainer.
Cdubzhappy 1 year ago
@Cdubzhappy - you are wrong. Toxic chemicals are used in these vaccines. When they are given in multiple "cocktail" injections they can overwhelm a young child's undeveloped immune system. It is no accident that autism rates in the United States are up 800% in the last 30 years.
cwcascales 1 year ago
@cwcascales Correlation, not causation. By your logic, one could just as easily claim that the introduction of home computers is what caused the rise in autism. Do you have any actual evidence to support your claim, or is this along the same line as Jenny McCarthy's "mommy sense trumping scientific evidence" nonsense?
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
Whether it is MMR, thimerisol, aluminum, etc., every time the cause of the supposed danger is shown to be safe, they just move onto another one instead of reexamining their initial assumption that vaccines are the cause.
I highly reccomend that anyone who watched this video also watch Why People Ignore Vaccine Denialists.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
I love how the anti-vaccers will say that nearly anyone critical of them or supportive of vaccines is on the payroll of "big pharma" when there are films like this which feature experts who would profit from undermining conventional medicine like homeopaths; heck, in this case even the director was a naturopath.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - the people behind this film make a tiny fraction of what the giant pharmaceutical companies make by peddling their poison. Over 100,000 people in the United States die each year from the side effects of legally prescribed "drugs." Doctors are not taught nutrition in medical school. All they know about these dangerous vaccines is what they have been told by the manufacturers of them.
cwcascales 1 year ago
@cwcascales Nobody will claim that the system is perfect, but the side effects of vaccines are much milder and rarer than the effects and side effects of the diseases that they protect against. Just look at mumps (which is on the rise because of anti-vax fearmongering reducing vaccination levels). One common side effect of mumps is orchitis (which occurs 20-30% of the time) which can also lead to sterility; compare that with the common side effects of vaccines CONT
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@cwcascales such as fever (16%) or a mild rash around the injection site (5%), or even more serious side effects like seizures (.03%) or serious allergic reactions (.0001%), and you can easily see that the risks of vaccines are far outweighed by the benefits.
There is also the fact that over a dozen studies have shown that there are no links between thimerosal and autism or vaccines and autism whereas the studies anti-vaxers point to are flawed, cherry picked, fraudulent, etc.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - who did the studies? The pharmaceutical companies that sell this poison. Look, the rate of autism has risen 800% in the United States since these multiple dose cocktail injections were put on the market. If a child is going to receive a vaccine it should be a single dose at a time giving the immune system time to work with it. Multiple vaccines given in one injection can simply overwhelm a childs immune system.
cwcascales 1 year ago
@cwcascales As I literally just said before, that is correlation, not causation. Do you have any actual evidence that vaccines are the cause of the increase? If you were to actually look at the history of autism, you would see that the increase is mostly, if not wholly, due to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance; this is further supported by the fact that autism is more commonly diagnosed in wealthy areas.

cwcascales 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight -orchitis can be treated and is not life threatening. Autism is for life.
If we are going to have vaccines they need to be given one at a time with plenty of time in between to allow the immune system to work and recover. It's all about money though. I think that the profit motive needs to be taken out of drug manufacturing. When companies are making hundreds of billions of dollars, their only incentive is to find more reasons to produce a drug quickly, cheaply, and then market it
cwcascales 1 year ago
@cwcascales That was but one side effect, other permanent ones include deafness and Meningoencephalitis. Also, vaccines have been shown time and again to not be a cause of autism, its genetic. A 2002 Danish study was done comparing autism rates between vaccinated and unvaccinated, and found that there was no difference.
Pharma companies do have incentive to produce safe vaccines, because they are still able to be sued by those hurt by their products.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - pharmaceutical companies cannot be sued by those hurt- and there are millions- by their products. The government prohibits liability suits against vaccine makers. The United States government has a fund which pays pennies on the dollar for harm done by FDA "approved" vaccines. Autism is not "genetic." Otherwise the rate would not have gone up 800% in the last 30 years- and only in the United States, which is the leader in mass vaccination given in these multiple doses.
cwcascales 1 year ago
@cwcascales Yes, actually they can be sued. The vaccine court was set up to expedite claims, and if someone has something from a list of known side effects, it is pretty much an automatic payout, but even if they're turned down for compensation by the vaccine court, it doesn't mean that they can't still sue.
A study which was published last week in Nature is another that shows that autism has a primarily genetic cause.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@cwcascales Also, the autism rates of the US, Canada, and UK are all about the same, so your last claim that it is only in the US is demonstrably false.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@cwcascales The rise in autism rates can be attributed mostly, if not completely, to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance. The fact that it is most commonly reported in wealthy areas is further evidence of this, as is the fact that it has been climbing steadily instead of having a sudden jump when those vaccines were introduced which is what we would have seen if it actually was a cause.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - If the rise in autism rates could be attributed SOLELY to a broadening of the definition and increased surveillance, where are all the 60 year old autistics? I've met many children with autism, yet strangely I've never seen nor heard of adults and seniors with autism in numbers that even come CLOSE to matching those found in children.
iDarkAvatar89 1 year ago
@iDarkAvatar89 That is because it is the parents that worry about it (especially new parents), and so bring their children to get tested; older people have had time to workThere is also the fact that the symtoms of autism start presenting within the first few months or years of life, so it is exceedingly rare for a previously healthy adult to begin showing symptoms absent some sort of traumatic event. CONT
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight CONT "[The increase] reflects greater recognition, with changes in diagnostic practice associated with more trained diagnosticians; broadening of diagnostic criteria to include a spectrum of disorder; a greater willingness by parents and educationalists to accept the label (in part because of entitlement to services); and better recording systems, among other factors. CONT
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight CONT (Taylor 2006) An earlier review of the literature by Rutter also found that applying the modern criteria to the historical records yielded similar rates of diagnosis. Another study by Chakrabarti and Fombonne looking at autism rates in the same community as an earlier study found that using the old criteria on modern cases yielded rates comparable to the older study.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - If that's true, then why are none of my Parents or their brothers and sisters on the spectrum? Why aren't my grandparents and their considerably large family on the spectrum? We have no history of it, yet it's genetic?
iDarkAvatar89 1 year ago
@iDarkAvatar89 Genetics are funny like that. It may have been a recessive gene that didn't start presenting until the current generation, or it may have presented in previous generations but as a minor case or in an otherwise different way. I can't really comment on of your specific case because 1) I'm not a neurologist and 2) even if I was, I don't have the specifics about the case history or any other data. Your doctors would be the ones to go to, and as you said, they say it was genetic.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - The recessive gene decided to present itself in the current generation? That would mean all the other families who have no family history of autism, THEIR recessive genes must have ALL decided to present themselves in the same generation as mine. But that's just a coincidence, right?
iDarkAvatar89 1 year ago

Fool me twice, shame on you.
iDarkAvatar89 1 year ago
@ArcanaKnight - You misunderstand me. I'm saying that there should be 60 year olds who have had life-long autism that weren't diagnosed in their childhood back in the 50's. They don't exist in numbers that match the present childhood autism incidence rate. Why is that? Even in my own family where 6 of my 8 brothers and sisters were vaccinated and ended up on the spectrum (including myself), 2 of which weren't and - funnily enough - are NOT on the spectrum. The docs say it is purely genetic.
iDarkAvatar89 1 year ago
@iDarkAvatar89 The older cases would have been diagnosed with something else, such as developmental language disorder. It is only under the new criteria that they would have been diagnosed with autism.
ArcanaKnight 1 year ago

We need to do some good studies and give this the attention it deserves.
pinoboy773 2 years ago
@pinoboy773 - it's the multiple combinations which are responsible. A young and undeveloped immune system cannot deal with all these substances when they are given in a single injection. Autism has increased 800% since these combinations came into being.
cwcascales 1 year ago
and since 98% of the US population is FULLY vaccinated, that should tell you that vaccination may not work as well as we thought.

Truly shocking and maddening.
mikedowd66 2 years ago
