I'm a Punisher fan, of the comics and films, and I have to say War Zone is the best Punisher film out there! Not only did it stay true to the original source, but it became a film that it set out to be, a Punisher film. The Tom Jane Punisher seemed to much like a Mafia movie rather than a Punisher movie.
@GORIZARD5 Thank you!!! Ray brought that Tim Bradstreet flavor to the film, Thomas Jane's Punisher is actually not that bad, however, see the Extended Cut on DVD because Lionsgate announced it's never coming to Blu-Ray.
@GORIZARD5 but i had the impression that they actually threw a lot of characters of the series in the movie just to please the fans, for example if you read the comics you would know that pittsy, maginty and budiansky were totally different, they just used their names, jane's movie might have been more generic, but overall was quite nice to watch
I really liked this movie; I didn't love it, but 'Warzone' was far too cheesy and Ray Stevenson hacked his way through his lines very poorly. The 2004 wasn't perfect, but it had the appeal of the old spagetti westerns, which works well for the Punisher. Alot of people complained about Travolta as the villain, but I think he came off well as a sort of pompous roman emperor type. And Castle spends the whole movie screwing up Saint's life, which is more punishment then simply killing him right out.
I am not into comics, but do like some of the characters. the punisher is one of those cool characters I don't care that much for such as dare devil. But this teaser was so good it got me interested in him. I was so disappointed when the movie was over.
The only good thing about going to the movies that day was that i saw two movies and the second one was Hellboy.

well if it makes you feel any better, the only thing i liked about this movie was Tom Jane cast as the punisher. I wasnt a big fan of Ray or Dulph. Ray Stevenson was good in Outpost if I might add.
@MrSpazz08 In my opinion, ray Stephenson looks too much like Steven Segal. But then again, that's what all Steven Segal's movies have been, very similar to The Punisher storyline.
You know, I think this move would have been much better if they actually made the movie as dark-themed as this trailer. I mean, the movie was too bright and cheerful too often. I mean, it didn't help that it was shot in sunny, beautiful Tampa, Florida. This trailer gave me false expectations. I expected dark, gritty film making. I think the movie was too happy looking. If the movie was like this trailer, it would have been better. But, I did still enjoy it.
Not to mention that this reboot happened so soon after the previous movie. Even the gap in the Hulk movies was a year longer and that was pretty short (though the new Hulk was a great improvement). I'd say maybe that was the reason they went ahead with Warzone, but Warzone was in production well before the new Hulk released, so they didn't know how well it would be received. I think I'm gonna go ahead and buy a copy of The Punisher Extended Cut to wash this bad taste out of my mouth.
sick trailer...i wish tom jane was back for warzone...i havent seen the new movie, and i am not planning on it, unless its online..because i will not pay money to see that piece of garbage...jane should have been back with jigsaw as the main bad guy....stupid marvel! killed the punisher franchise!
watching warzone right now, its pretty awful I gotta say. tom jane knew what he was talking about when he said the script was terrible. And that's even with a rewrite. Who knows how awful it was to begin with.

Burn! i wish jane was in punisher 2, not this garbage.
It's true. They made this movie to appeal strictly to the hardcore comic fans, because it seems like they are the only crowd who are giving this movie positive mention, and probably are the only ones seeing it in theater. The comic nuts are focused so much on origin and appearance details that they don't get that Jane brought emotional content to the role and made people connect with his tragic past. Warzone was just poor dialogue glossed over with lots of gore and explosions.
exactly my point..sometimes comicbook movies to screens arent good because what fans dont realize that you cant just take a comic book character and put him on the big screen, it doesnt work that way. The character needs emotional and appeal to the general public. Jane did that, punisher war zone was pathetic in the sens that it only made sense to the hardcore punisher fans. I guess they got what they deserved, but punisher franchise didnt.

I think I figured it out. It's definitely from the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. Download it. The songs are called: #2. Party, #4. Party, #21. Supermarket Sweep. Not sure on the others since I only listened to a few of them. But those are definitely it.
From searching around, it seems like its a cover for one of Clint Mansell's songs from the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack. Either Summer Party 1, 2, or Supermarket raid something.
