say what you want about Mr. Paul, but unlike Obama (who you've chronicled heavily - my favorite was the Healthcare Lies and Reversals video) he doesn't flip-flop and has been promoting the same ideas/principles for decades.
On just one day, in honor of the Boston Tea Party, the new American revolutionaries brought in $6.04 million, another one day record.
The average donation was $102; we had 58,407 individual contributors, of whome an astounding 24,915 were first time donors. And it was an entirely voluntary, self organized, decentralized, independent effort on the internet.
I'm not a "ruling gangster," but I am an observer, and I don't think what Ron Paul has started will go away, no. I'm glad to see it, personally. For decades strict libertarians have been hoodwinked by the Republican Party. Declare yourself. Vote independent. It's what Lyndon LaRouche would do.
(P.S. Lee: That "Toby Walker" tagline was the perfect twist to the time machine and had me in unqualified hysterics. Kudos.)
OFFENSIVIST? Wow, not only do I get to see someone waste their time on a candidate they find irrelevant, but I get to see them pushing a word that isn't in a dictionary.
The thing is that you said "most racially offensive" in the audio part. If your attempt to do it as satire, it would of been better, if you had done it from the perspective of Ron Paul supporters. This way, you can typo, screw up and so on. But it is from the perspective of COVERING Ron Paul supporters, so it makes you look stupid.
When I googled on the word, to see if it was an actual word, some people already were using it (badly). I am curious, if your usage of the word results in it becoming so popular that a Webster adds it to their dictionary, would its usage be less funny due to it being seen as poor word selection?
It's a joke that never fails to amuse me. I do it in other videos, too - like the Bill And Hillary: Experienced one. I think the joke is how advertising needs more and more hype to cut through all the other hype, so it makes up words if it needs to.
Ok, I notice your sticht now. You had to do Paul for completeness. By the way, the Civil War wasn't over slavery. If it was, sending Ron Paul back in a time machine might of saved a lot of American lives :-P
Naturyl: All Doctor Paul is; is a stalwart defender of the Constitution & the model of a decent person. So don't get TOO gleeful. As long as there is a modicum of thought & decency left in the people of this country which entails, a love of the rule of law & a hatred of coercion, theft & pre-emptive war, the movement he leads will not go away.
It's funny, because a hatred of coercion and enslavement is exactly why I don't support "libertarians." Libertarians want to give big business free reign to screw people over to their hearts' content. If you think the eeeeeevil "gubmint" is bad, wait until you see what unrestrained corporations can do. Ever hear of Enron? Ever hear of Chinese sweatshops where the workers are locked inside for 14 hour shifts? Ever hear of "company towns?"
Naturyl: Total ignorance you're displaying. 1. The corporations love Dr. Paul SO much, they order all the editors & "journalists" they employ to ignore or mock him. Or do you think that's some kind of scheme?! 2. There haven't been "unrestrained" corporations in America since the 1890s. Everything you describe is a partnership between business & "gubmint" (you condescending halfwit). I've LIVED in a company town in Latin America. Ever hear of the Feds & the United Fruit Company, Guatemala, 1954?
Naturyl:(Wacky "conspiracy theory" alert, really a condensed lesson for you "Naturyl" & the others on here who talk in almost exactly the same way. And please, allow ME to PRESUME, since YOU PRESUMED to educate me on the existence of sweatshops & company towns...really, thanks so much) The elites of America are like a casually formed club of the ultra-rich. People laugh at the idea of "conspiracies", but all the word really means is "to breath together". I don't believe I, or anyone I've known..
or spoken to has EVER been alone in a room & "breathed together" with any but the MOST minor members of this club. This club has competing extended families. The Rockefeller "family" for instance, with their redheaded step child, Henry Kissinger (ask yourself, does MY family have a Foreign Relations Advisor?). There is also a loose hierarchy that forms in places most of us could never enter except as tourists; Harvard, Yale, Princeton. The VERY top members are groomed by their fathers to learn..
the dark arts of central banking & the application of scientific counterfeiting, just below that, the heads of industries are created. Many times these "fortunate sons" have some eccentricities, the pious ones MAY become Bishops or Cardinals (a whole other & today more minor story of control), but the ones with a REAL screw loose are trained in the ways of POLITICS. Suffice it to say, their sub-par brains, lack of ANY sense of reality & MASSIVE egos make them highly manipulable. Not-so-very rich..
kids & VERY intelligent or VERY ambitious kids are allowed in to the Ivy league (or move through lesser channels on their way up) much like dogs at the dinner table. Anyone who has ANY sense of pride or decency, naturally could never go to the places where these lapdogs go. They of course are very grateful for the scraps they get. They usually go into "journalism" or "entertainment". Or they may break into positions of State, sometimes (rarely), if very efficient and/or pliable, going all the...
way to what the masses believe is the "top". This "club" as a whole is in effect a class; a RULING class. They actually or effectively own EVERYTHING & EVERYONE in the world. And WE AIN'T in this club & have NO say on how it will be run. In the olden days peasants were much more meek than peasants today & unable to inform themselves about much of ANYTHING. The gradual arrival of the Industrial Revolution & the more leisurely lives & far greater numbers of peasants it brought caused the super-...
elites to make a change in tactics. They looked to ancient Athens & constructed a perverted amalgamation they called, "DEMOCRACY". This has really done the trick. There are roughly TWO main kinds of peasants (their are also house peasants & field peasants), allow me to (inexactly) call them "conservatives" & "progressives". Recent cognitive science findings indicate there are very real differences in the way their brains function. Just one of many things BOTH groups believe in is "Nationalism"..
..Non-peasants & non-lackeys have NO such delusions as these OR left/right divisions of thought. In short, they train their moral or actual imbecile sons that you call governors, senators or presidents to join one of two seemingly competing groups. These two groups have the job of making each mass of peasants with the different types of brains hate & fear each other. Hate comes mainly from fear. This is the only way the elites cling to their tenuous perch, for if the masses KNEW REALITY & who...
who their REAL enemies were....(I never make physical threats to elites OR their troglodyte muscle; soldiers & cops, you met them in YOUR school, they probably stuffed you in a trashcan a time or two! ha ha!) Peasant group A generally fears, in the main; cultural contagion, societal moral degeneration, subconscious "animal" instincts, egalitarianism, the "poor" in the streets & enemies "abroad". Peasant group B; unwashed rustic types (who, if from other "nations" they wish to coddle), rednecks..
...all "racists", people thinking they may not be urbane, that people somewhere else may be doing something "wrong", outside moderation of their subconscious "animal" instincts, "unfairness" & above all they fear "bosses" (only peasants think of themselves as "workers"). Now please (or not) absorb this information & if you don't want to get the verbal PRANGING of a lifetime, DO NOT EVER IGNORANTLY IMPLY IN PUBLIC AGAIN that Doctor Paul is a repulsive toady for the ELITES! To say what you have...
said (this video does too) is as ignorant & offensive to a philosopher of liberty as if I LIED to an American with black skin that Doctor King was actually a trained KGB special agent who ONLY cared about International Socialism & was fooling his followers. Disgusting, the trash I've seen you peddle.
mts1583: What IS the source of the hatred for Dr Paul? (most of it is directed at goofy supporters I guess) People who mock him display next to NO knowledge of what he stands for. He stands for YOUR freedom. So ALL people not engaged in government theft or the war machine should be on his side. I KNOW my source of loathing for Hillary or McCain. I hate tyranny and aggressive war. You are all gleeful that YOU've collectively decided to personally continue to pay for the murder of Iraqis & more...
I enjoy the idea of the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Ron Paul stands in opposition to both laws and he has made that clear. He believes the Civil Rights Act restricts "personal liberty." The liberty restricted by that Act is the liberty of a private business owner to deny a person employment or service based on their race, religion, sex or ethnicity.
Also, the 14th amendment contains an equal protection and due process clause. I'm not willing to give up either.
mts: I know EXACTLY what you enjoy. Let me guess, you are a young white "liberal. You enjoy feeling better than "racist" people. It gives you such pleasure that you go overboard & brand anyone that doesn't believe in your orthodox views on "race" as a racist. Or as our host calls them "de facto racists". I don't wish to be so angry off the bat speaking to you, but your ignorant comments set me off.
I am "gleeful" that the 14th amendment and Civil Rights Act are safe. Ron Paul thinks these laws serve no purpose. Does Ron Paul know what America was like before either? Ever hear of Jim Crow laws? Does he know why lunch counter protests occurred? Tyranny doesn't just come from government. Look at history. Look at the struggle of minorities in the South post-slavery. Restrictions were placed on where they could vote, work, eat, live, etc. The Civil Rights Act made those restrictions illegal.
mts: The idea that those HAD to be passed is repulsive. Dr Paul KNOWS that they serve no purpose because he KNOWS the Constitution. Before the Federal Gov figured out in 1863 how to USE black Americans, blacks counted as 3/5 of a person. THIS was the TRAVESTY that needed to be corrected. ALL blacks EVER needed was to be equal under the law we already had, but which has always been subverted by the liars who swore to uphold it. Dr Paul KNOWS ALL men are created equal, they need NO "special" laws.
So yes, I am "gleeful" that Ron Paul's "revolution" is over. I don't believe that any business owner should be allowed to deny someone service based on the color of his or her skin, or the god they choose to worship.
If the Civil Rights Act was repealed (as Ron Paul advocates), hospitals could refuse you treatment or the right to come on their property simply because you're white or black or hispanic. Sounds like utopia to me.
Not over by a DAMN site. Just the beginning. All the historical example you condescendingly site are correct & couldn't be unknown by ANYONE but the most insanely obtuse. You come from a scab picking tradition of blabbering endlessly about racism. This does nothing but make you feel superior. Dr King was absolutely right that what is NEEDED is a color-blind society. Dr Paul agrees & has worked for 30 years to make the law colorblind, which is the ONLY path to Dr King's dream. NOT your preening.
blackestmoon: Yes, what could be more wrongheaded? The fiat lawmakers, for self serving reasons have created a new set of "PC" "separate but equal" laws, that further stigmatize black people. The great abolitionist Lysander Spooner said in 1870: "If their object had really been to abolish slavery, or maintain liberty or justice generally, they had only to say: All, whether white or black, who want the protection of this government, shall have it; & all who do not want it, will be left in peace..
..so long as they leave us in peace. Had they said this, slavery would necessarily have been abolished at once; the war would have been saved; & a thousand times nobler union than we have ever had would have been the result. It would have been a voluntary union of free men; such a union as will one day exist among all men, the world over, if the several nations, so called, shall ever get rid of the usurpers, robbers, & murderers, called governments, that now plunder, enslave, and destroy them."
mts: Only idiots believe in utopia, nice straw man. If a disgusting racist restaurant owner can't keep ANYONE he wants out of HIS restaurant, then it's not HIS. That's freedom, & it's not always pretty. And I can't wait to see all these "racist" private hospitals open up. So many "liberals" seem to have some fantasy of an nearly all-pervasive, monstrous racism out there in the boonies, that only they in their righteousness are holding down. Makes me puke, its like a Christ complex.
When you don't believe in violent coercion & theft, forced common ownership & moral crusading, you have to do the SANE thing and BOYCOTT racists, or move away. They will always be poor & stupid, why all the fear of them? If you are like the closed-minded all-knowing host here, by all means put what I'm saying in your "loony" box. That's what you were trained to do. Self esteem IS the MOST important thing right? We don't want anyone giving your ego doubt about your urbanity & perfect morality.
mts: One more thought your smug & callow posts inspired. It's SO very brave of you to make a stand on lunch counter issues of 40 years ago. Congrats on your piety. You did not mention my MAIN point though, the murder of 1million Iraqis by the very same government that so contentiously & selflessly protects black's full dinner choices (Their ONLY charter was to preserve EVERYONES rights as per the Constitution, why the back patting now?!)I imagine Hillary or Obama told you that they are against..
I said I GUESS you are a lefty. I said I KNOW you enjoy showing your political correctness against who you consider the ignorant because that'ss EXACTLY what you did. Please enlighten me about your political ideas, or will you make me guess. You must understand, I am skeptical, its an old favorite of "liberals" to pretend they are not. Or are you a "minority", I don't know, hence the word "GUESS"
It's great to finally see a good parody video to make fun of Ron Paul and his ridiculous supporters! My brother and I nearly died laughing when it got to the "Toby Walter" part. Well done!
Abraham Lincoln in a speech delivered at Charlesron, Illinois - 1858, "I am not now, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in any way the social or political equality of the white and black races. I am not now nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor of intermarriages with white people. There is a physical difference between the white and the black races which will forever forbid the two races living together on.....
...social or political equality. There must be a position of superior and inferior, and I am in favor of assigning the superior position to the white man." & Lincoln in a letter from 1863, "I thought that whatever negroes can be got to do as soldiers, leaves just so much less for white soldiers to do, in saving the Union...But negroes, like other people, act upon motives. Why should they do any thing for us, if we will do nothing for them? If they stake their lives for us, they must be prompted"
finkster: You find this video humourous. The video posits that because Doctor Paul finds Lincoln to have been a very bad president that Paul must have no problem with slavery, since in a grade school level understanding of history "Lincoln freed the slaves". Lincoln did not slaughter 650,000 Americans to free the slaves, but instead he did so to subjugate & centralize the country. The quotes show him to be perhaps the most racist president ever, invalidating the sophomoric points of this video.
Yes, I know all about Lincoln being racist and the Civil War not being about slavery. Again, what does that have to do with me thinking that this video is funny?
finkster: You can think it's funny, that's fine, perhaps you are a fan of juvenile or absurdest humour, because the jokes in this aren't based on any kind of sound facts. I think it's about as funny as a video comparing Gandhi to Hitler. You could technically do a good job on that, but it would be, by its nature unfair. I don't care what you find funny, you insulted Doctor Paul's supporters so I took offense & I enjoy demonstrating the bias, phoniness & shallowness of the maker of this video.
finkster: That's cute, I have hundreds of interests, & I'm sure you've diagnosed the people trying to bring the U.S. under Natural Law. This guy here is a semi-pro propagandist, I have spent far less time discrediting him then he spends making his "Progressive" agitprop videos. I just feel like doing my small part by trying to neutralize him, mostly because he's smug (he pretends....
...to be JUST a humourist & claims to have vast hidden knowledge) & insulting and he generally just pisses me off. And Yes, Ghandi doesn't measure up to Dr Paul, just the first thing off the top of my head.
..anywhere in the videos. But his policies sure are." " 'Leaving Earth' and 'Entering PlanetPaul' - that's YOU. I described it exactly totally right; you're on another planet." "Well, I live on Earth. Please come visit sometime. It's got some problems, but it's okay." "It's ok. You just don't get the joke." "I consider Ron Paul an iffy libertarian......anti-reason and anti-science." "Very very telling about the way his mind works." "This is real simple" "Do they have a comedy section in the....
...YouTube on your home planet of Vulcan?" "Are you nuts?" "if you know anything about history" "part of the pathology of Ron Paul supporters is that they believe that they have The One True Answer" "Or I speak like I know way too much about libertarianism. I'm post-libertarian. You will probably be, too, someday." "I think it's completely obvious" "yur position is de facto racism." In the civil rights movement (Malcolm X) was a fairly marginal figure." "You simply don't understand or are....
intentionally ignoring" "the only reason you assume I don't is because I don't agree with it." Impressive stuff there Stranahan. I guess if I had YOUR intellectual stuff I'd ALSO get personal hoping for the same in return so I'd have an excuse to back out of an argument. If you're hit with a fact you don't like U say something to the effect of "Everybody Knows..." or you ignore it,or you focus on my theories about where you are coming from. I've those THEORIES, because you won't admit your bias.
Sewers! This is perfect,if governments didn't steal everyones money and literally throw it down the toilet it may have occurred by now that everyone would have toilets that destroyed the waste (I think I've heard of that, not a poop expert though) or convert it into energy for your home. The other beautiful thing about Dr Paul is that he wouldn't force anything on you like socialists do to me. You could move to the most socialist state,I to a freemarket one. We'll see how we do. Let my people go
This is even more hilarious if you are a Ron Paul supporter like myself. I just laughed at the "while the Ron Paul supporters generate the electricity needed by typing RON PAUL in capital letters onto every blog in the world" I do have to admit we are very dedicated, but that's the idea, we want to make some noise.
Ha Ha Ha Crazy funny video and I support Ron Paul too ;)
Still I find it strange that people think his ideas are crazy and from Geroge Washingtons time. After all thet current systems isn't really working is it? What will you do when taxes go up and the Dollar goes down(even more so than now)?
I thought it was funny too, but it sure did show that what Ron Paul says isn't what people think they hear. Civil War: "What is so wicked about saying we could have ended slavery without killing so many people?" That doesn't imply in any way that slavery wasn't abhorrent.
What Dr Paul says IS what they hear. They were schooled (17 years for Stranahan) to have a singular view of history and to quickly detect "thought crime". It's not a conspiracy, it's a natural desire for socialists to protect the idea of socialism, what would happen to all their jobs? An example, the grand daddy bête noire of "racism", the Nazis. It would never do for kids to think of the Nazis primarily as a socialist workers party, no,no,no. Back to Dr Paul; to not spout standardized...
Once again - you're making assumptions about me that totally wrong. You should really just admit you have no idea what you're talking about.
I have had maybe - maybe - 10 years of formal education, including dropping out of high school to start college when I was 15 and...wait for it...a year in a private high school run by AYN RAND FANS. You're just as wrong as you can be about 'my singular view' of anything. You speak from ignorance.
Maybe that's what turned you sour. Ayn Rand's cultish, interventionist, corporate loving "lbertarianism". I don't know? Just throwing out ideas seeing what sticks. And in my defense, (I knew this would happen) I wanted to say "POSSIBLY 17 years..") but was at 505 characters! Guess I picked the wrong word to toss out. I'm sorry to offend, sincerely. Although I'm probably offending even MORE now. I'm not that familiar with the strain of libertarianism you're from,& IF it's the one I think, blechh.
Nothing turned me sour. It's just that libertarian isn't workable political philosophy, for all sorts of reasons. Plenty of good ideas, plenty of bad ones.
That blanket statement is not impressive. I can only ASSUME, but everything you say leads me to believe you have a skewed idea of libertarianism and next to no knowledge of classical liberalism. What specifically is not workable? Because elitism & statism have carried the day and haven't utterly collapsed yet, that doesn't mean liberty is unworkable. In fact everything that does "work" is because of the modicum of liberty that exists, the inability of the elite to micromanage EVERYTHING.
More assumptions - I know libertarian thought very well and the only reason you assume I don't is because I don't agree with it.
Let's start with plumbing and the sewage system - explain the libertarian solution to that, that perserves everyone's property rights - then go on to the roada.
Or give an actual response to the issue of raising revenue without the initiation of force. Or try this - point out a single example in history of where pure capitalism has been tried and worked.
Sewers! I claim that you are ignorant, because you constantly demonstrate NO grasp of fundamental libertarian philosophy. If you were just an Objectivist, then it all makes sense. With the "sewers" crap (ha ha) you betray how your mind works. First off, NO ONE can ever know what the free market will come up with. When a person who deeply believes in top down order and authority (that's you) asks questions like this, it's basically asking a philosopher or historian to invent the wheel. You.......
So - you mean you have no answer to this one. If you do have an answer, give it now. If you don't, admit that and then realize the the sewage system you use every day so you aren't having to poop in a bag came about through 'the violation of property rights'.
having such an education in libertarianism are familiar with the classic Leonard Read essay "I, Pencil" I'm sure. (sorry, I just can't help the sarcasm). It's a brilliant improvemnet on Smith's "invisible hand", showing the spontaneous order and thousands of individuals unknowingly working (all for their own benefit) together to make one seemingly simple pencil. The free market and free individuals work much as the individual cell works in the human body (societies much like the evolution of...
species). Secondly, If this were 1895 and the government thought manned flight to be possible (a joke in itself) and set up a "Ministry of Flight", taxed everyone and refused to allow anyone to privatly work on it. The first plane would have cost unfathomablely more & the progress of development would have been GREATLY hampered. If you don't intutively KNOW this you were asleep during ALL of your childhood lessons. Third. I'm not an expert on sewage, but there's libertarians who are, I will...
....give you links since you're such a fan of curiosity. TO ask where has "pure" capitalism ever happened...ppffhh. Other than 300 successful years (930-1220) in Iceland, there have been very few times in history where individuals were able to avoid gangster's violent decrees. But it has happened, you can look it up. You DEMONSTRATE (maybe somewhere, deep inside you have great knowledge of the philosophy of liberty) a complete authoritarian philosophy. I've got to guess your positions because...
...your arguments are full of condescending insults and mind numbing generalities, your claiming the high ground is your greatest comedic feat, exact quotes (I know you don't have a problem with quoting people out of context, and I'll gladly go back to the context unlike Kirchick and his Neo-Nazi collaborator, Bill White)... "That's simply absurd" "Lincoln freed the slaves" "you are living in a fantasy world" "don't make any sense to me at all." "I didn't say he's a racist anywhere in the.....
..pious platitudes when speaking of Abraham Lincoln, the "Civil War" or the CRA is a very serious thought crime & punishable by removal from non-loony society. Interestingly, this is one reason why weirdos of all stripes (I hope I don't offend you, I'm a "loony" too) birth at homers, homeschoolers, raw milk enthusiasts, small business owners (ha ha), militia types & ACTUAL (excluding Muslim-haters & knowledgeable Jew-haters) racists support him. They're all out in the cold with him.
We not only homeschool but my lovely wife Lauren also did two UNASSISTED homebirths, which is the Extreme Sports of homebirthing. And she did raw milk for a while and we own a small business.
If you appreciate raw milk, home schooling or anything that's a little "off" like that, you are showing total ignorance to support any one of the corporate candidates. I don't know exactly how you came about getting the orthodox views on history and PCness that you display, I assumed it was the normal way. I was speaking about the PC phenomenon in general & I'll admit my mind is boggled as to how a person could become PC all on their own?!?! Sorry, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt.
NB,stole joke from ONN:You've got to realize that when an obvious lefty tells me he's a libertarian that I'm VERY dubious. I've heard about 10,000 "Progressives" claim in arguments to be a current or recovered Rep or Libertarian. Funny though, I almost never hear it the other way. You know the tactic. Here's a reverse-reductio ad absurdum example.."Why, I was in Save The Whales for 20 years, but even I can't support my fellow Democrat's new Anti-Whale Fucking Bill, this bill just goes TOO far."
And the names you drop! A rock & roll/philosophy of liberty analogy (my opinion, of course)....If Lao Tzu is Charley Patton & Lysander Spooner's Blind Willie Johnson then Mises is Chuck Berry, Rothbard the Rolling Stones & Ed Clark would be...Billy Joel. Ayn Rand, there's nobody quite like her, I had to think really hard of a combo. Imagine John & George wanted to play REAL rock & roll again & kicked Paul out. Ayn Rand would be like Paul McCartney forming a "super group" with Charles Manson.
I don't know what any of that means of has to do with anything. I'm not dropping names, I'm mentioning my actual connections to dates. I didn't say Ed Clark was anything but the 1980 candidate for President, who I did work for when NOBODY was a libertarian.
Naturally. You DROPPED his name to show your bona fides against mine, come on. And you were like 14! So, what was the deal? Were your parents Objectivists or what? Why don't you just clearly explain your milieu? You don't HAVE to, of course, but YOU claimed you have deep knowledge of libertarianism, all the evidence I've seen is name-dropping from your childhood. My parents were fundamentalist Christians. I dropped out and don't claim to have massive knowledge of the Bible, I was asleep usually
Well..actually, what's happening is you keep making crazy, incorrect and baseless assumptions - so I think maybe I'm done.
I haven't made a single assumption about you, your background or why you believe things. I don't know your background - and this is important so please listen - if I wanted to know I'D ASK. Just that fucking simple, really.
It's easy - you can avoid false assumptions and being incorrect though curiosity and listening. But you won't, I'm convinced at this point so I'm done.
My only ASSUMPTION about you was that YOU weren't ever much of a libertarian. And I only said that after YOU directly stated that you were so much MORE knowledagble of libertarianism that you had GROWN OUT OF IT, and condesendingly implied that I would too after more study. Are you kiddding me with this line? YOU ASKED. GO back and look. You sure can dish it out, but the same thing comes back and you can't take it.
NOBODY WAS a libertarian in 1980?! (including yourself and Ed Clark is about the first thought of yours I could give an unqualified endorsement of). Why would I doubt your libertarian credentials?!? And regarding my lovely analogy (it was pretty plain); is it the philosophy of liberty or the history of rock & roll you don't know much about? Or is it neither? Or do you not get analogies? Or do you not respond well to info you don't like? These are questions, not assumptions, all-wise mystery man.
Bush is set to give each american a tax cut, this could mean up to 800 per person. We could give this cash to Ron Paul's Campaign, a little F-U to the IRS/federal reserve. April 17th is a holiday in Massachusetts called 'PATRIOTS DAY" due to this holiday taxes on many east coast states are due on the 18th. With this easy cash we could easily beat the 6 million day total. SPREAD THE WORD FAR AND WIDE!!!
Of all your parody ads, I think this is my favorite. I just wish everyone else could realise that this is supposed to be poking fun at Ron Paul in a funny way.
Paul's not my favored candidate, though I wouldn't mind seeing him in the White House, and I don't see anything wrong or bad about this ad. Keep 'em coming!
I've read all of your statements here and it appears to me that you believe that the American people's rights emanate from the Federal Government. I know you are a comedian and everyone is supposed to chill, but you do realize that this is the same benevolent group of elites who murdered 3 million Vietnamese and are still in the process of murdering 100s of thousands of Iraqis (with Iran in their sights) don't you?
Sorry. No - that's me, too. I was signed into the wrong YouTube account - but if you want to see a nice video about sunshine, motorcyles and cute girls you know where to go now...
Oh, ok, thanks for the invite. I said "it appears", I could be wrong. Just trying to find out where you stand. For a starter, do you believe that Americans with black skin enjoy most of their rights because Washington has decreed it?
I think it's completely obvious that government action related to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 made life much, much better for not just black people but for the South as a whole - a more modern, less racist culture than the one that preceded it.
That wasn't my question, but I'll CONJECTURE on the Civil Rights Act as well. Maybe I'm crazy, but it's not obvious to me at all. Your reasoning is post hoc. How do you know that things are better now because of the CRA. My conjecture is that intelligent elites new that the blacks were about to TAKE their rights and they reversed their policy of institutional racism against blacks to get credit, prestige and later, votes.
Who's history? Is "de facto" racism not as bad as racism, making it less of a slur against someone who doesn't agree with you on philosophical grounds?
Oops, embarrassing: "knew that the blacks", NOT "new that the blacks" And I try not to talk like that ("the blacks") but the Feds do. They derive all their power from splitting people apart in arbitrary groups, making them fear and hate each other and then taking their money on the pretext of "protecting them" from the bad guys. Generally, righties are scared of A-rabs & libertines, lefties of their bosses, rednecks, gaybashers & god knows what.
For me, personally, I don't find it very funny when it's implied that the world's most important peace movement and its selfless leader are a bunch of delusional racists by someone who has a platform, obviously has a strong bias and is factually ignorant and/or superficial.
Doctor King WAS a great man and of course had his heart in the right place, sadly though his was a tragic misunderstanding of the Federal government and most white "liberals" (a word stolen from libertarians). Malcolm X was far more shrewd than Doctor King.
And he was just getting started, that's why he's not with us. I don't wish to be abusive, but in "comparison to Dr King...marginal figure"!?!...You are a mental pygmy. That's not a crime, but to display it in public...
In the civil rights movement, he was a fairly marginal figure. An interesting one and he got press and controversy, but his impact was no way near as large on the sweep of history. He kept himself at the margins, really.
Whew. You simply don't understand or are intentionally ignoring that absolutely massive changes that the CRM brought to US society. Why do you do that?
Post hoc. Coincidental. CRM was actually regressive to the extent that involved the murderers of 5 million Vietnamese and 1 million Iraqis for tin and then oil.
They're not related. That's just evidence that the Feds have NO humanitarian considerations of ANY kind. If they were interested in American blacks, its because the blacks were about to go balistic. The Feds found a clever way to get in on the ground floor. Our rights do NOT emminate from this disgusting slime in Washington.
I bid you goodnight, and thank you. What a rare privilege that such a man as you, a profound thinker, who has risen past the likes of Lao Tzu and Ludwig von Mises would take precious time from your important studies and deign to speak to an ignorant mortal such as I. (Seriously though, you ARE something special, I have never formulated a sentence THAT sarcastic in all my life. All I really wanted to call you all night was an ass.)
Stranahan: HA! Unlike yourself, I don't know EVERYTHING (just the things I talk about, another difference we have) so I had to look up Ed Clark. I DO congratulate you on your long, arduous intellectual journey: all the way from (HIS freakin' quote...MAN!) "low-tax liberalism" to "HIGH-tax liberalism."
If he continued on the path he was on, he would have destroyed the entire power structure of the world. Doctor King is mainly (philosophically) just a good and true but flawed Christian. That has always been safe. He was a little on the dangerous side, but its safe for the elites to deify him.
DAMN, I THOUGHT I LIKED THIS GUY. DAMN, Ron - please prove to me that you are not racist!
Feeling dooped, as I have sentmoney, bought T-Shirts and everything, cuz I thought he was a man of prinicples that I agree with.
But I have to use common sense here and admit that as a white person, I would like to believe that 'fewer and fewer' of white people are racist in this day and age.
And that means I instinctually give people the benefit of the doubt... and perhaps I need to change that. Ouch.
Any true outsider like Ron Paul will undoubtedly be in for juvenile and insidious attacks such as these. They should not be taken seriously, but only for the bilge that they are.
It seems that people deliberately avoid the fact that many of the "racist remarks" supposedly said by Ron, were not said by Ron.
For example, the 1992 newsletter written by Jared taylor, NOT Ron Paul, where he claims most African Americans in large cities are criminals. People have to start reading between the lines!
"he's not racist but his policies are" - that is still calling him a racist.
Ron Paul is not racist. His agenda is keeping the government from overstepping its bounds. He apparently felt that the act gave the government too much power and therefore voted against it.
The CRA did a lot more good than harm.
Likewise, Ron Paul will do the country much more good than harm even though he didn't vote for CRA.
You just want to paint the guy as a racist when he is not one.
this is the single funniest, right on video i've seen this campaign season. very smart, very funny, very biting and true. really captures the RP kook movement.

Much to the chagrin of the ruling gangster regime, Ron Paul is a major player on the
national stage, and the "Revolution" he has ignited is not going to go away.
PA65000 3 years ago
I'm not a "ruling gangster," but I am an observer, and I don't think what Ron Paul has started will go away, no. I'm glad to see it, personally. For decades strict libertarians have been hoodwinked by the Republican Party. Declare yourself. Vote independent. It's what Lyndon LaRouche would do.
(P.S. Lee: That "Toby Walker" tagline was the perfect twist to the time machine and had me in unqualified hysterics. Kudos.)

Stranahan 4 years ago
The thing is that you said "most racially offensive" in the audio part. If your attempt to do it as satire, it would of been better, if you had done it from the perspective of Ron Paul supporters. This way, you can typo, screw up and so on. But it is from the perspective of COVERING Ron Paul supporters, so it makes you look stupid.
richardhutnik 4 years ago
I didn't typo or screw up. I used a funny made up word. It's funny. Ha!
Stranahan 4 years ago
When I googled on the word, to see if it was an actual word, some people already were using it (badly). I am curious, if your usage of the word results in it becoming so popular that a Webster adds it to their dictionary, would its usage be less funny due to it being seen as poor word selection?
richardhutnik 4 years ago
Yeah, I think it would be less funny.

As long as there is a modicum of thought & decency left in the people of this country which entails, a love of the rule of law & a hatred of coercion, theft & pre-emptive war, the movement he leads will not go away.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
It's funny, because a hatred of coercion and enslavement is exactly why I don't support "libertarians." Libertarians want to give big business free reign to screw people over to their hearts' content. If you think the eeeeeevil "gubmint" is bad, wait until you see what unrestrained corporations can do. Ever hear of Enron? Ever hear of Chinese sweatshops where the workers are locked inside for 14 hour shifts? Ever hear of "company towns?"
Naturyl 4 years ago
Naturyl: Total ignorance you're displaying. 1. The corporations love Dr. Paul SO much, they order all the editors & "journalists" they employ to ignore or mock him. Or do you think that's some kind of scheme?! 2. There haven't been "unrestrained" corporations in America since the 1890s. Everything you describe is a partnership between business & "gubmint" (you condescending halfwit). I've LIVED in a company town in Latin America. Ever hear of the Feds & the United Fruit Company, Guatemala, 1954?

I enjoy the idea of the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Ron Paul stands in opposition to both laws and he has made that clear. He believes the Civil Rights Act restricts "personal liberty." The liberty restricted by that Act is the liberty of a private business owner to deny a person employment or service based on their race, religion, sex or ethnicity.
Also, the 14th amendment contains an equal protection and due process clause. I'm not willing to give up either.
mts1583 4 years ago
mts: I know EXACTLY what you enjoy. Let me guess, you are a young white "liberal. You enjoy feeling better than "racist" people. It gives you such pleasure that you go overboard & brand anyone that doesn't believe in your orthodox views on "race" as a racist. Or as our host calls them "de facto racists". I don't wish to be so angry off the bat speaking to you, but your ignorant comments set me off.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
"I know EXACTLY what you enjoy. Let me guess, you are a young white "liberal."
That's what you want me to be. Unfortunately for you, that description of me is inaccurate on all accounts.
But you are doing what you are trained. Defending Ron Paul at all costs, even by misclassifying and misgrouping people about whom you know nothing.
I am deeply offended by your inaccurate classification. However, I take comfort in the fact that you have displayed your ignorance so openly.
mts1583 4 years ago
I am "gleeful" that the 14th amendment and Civil Rights Act are safe. Ron Paul thinks these laws serve no purpose. Does Ron Paul know what America was like before either? Ever hear of Jim Crow laws? Does he know why lunch counter protests occurred? Tyranny doesn't just come from government. Look at history. Look at the struggle of minorities in the South post-slavery. Restrictions were placed on where they could vote, work, eat, live, etc. The Civil Rights Act made those restrictions illegal.
mts1583 4 years ago
mts: The idea that those HAD to be passed is repulsive. Dr Paul KNOWS ALL men are created equal, they need NO "special" laws.
mpolzkill 4 years ago 2
So yes, I am "gleeful" that Ron Paul's "revolution" is over. I don't believe that any business owner should be allowed to deny someone service based on the color of his or her skin, or the god they choose to worship.
If the Civil Rights Act was repealed (as Ron Paul advocates), hospitals could refuse you treatment or the right to come on their property simply because you're white or black or hispanic. Sounds like utopia to me.
mts1583 4 years ago
Not over by a DAMN site. Just the beginning. All the historical example you condescendingly site are correct & couldn't be unknown by ANYONE but the most insanely obtuse. You come from a scab picking tradition of blabbering endlessly about racism. This does nothing but make you feel superior. Dr King was absolutely right that what is NEEDED is a color-blind society. Dr Paul agrees & has worked for 30 years to make the law colorblind, which is the ONLY path to Dr King's dream. NOT your preening.

blackestmoon 4 years ago
blackestmoon: Yes, what could be more wrongheaded? The fiat lawmakers, for self serving reasons have created a new set of "PC" "separate but equal" laws, that further stigmatize black people. The great abolitionist Lysander Spooner said in 1870: "If their object had really been to abolish slavery, or maintain liberty or justice generally, they had only to say: All, whether white or black, who want the protection of this government, shall have it; & all who do not want it, will be left in peace..
mpolzkill 4 years ago
..so long as they leave us in peace. Had they said this, slavery would necessarily have been abolished at once; the war would have been saved; & a thousand times nobler union than we have ever had would have been the result. It would have been a voluntary union of free men; such a union as will one day exist among all men, the world over, if the several nations, so called, shall ever get rid of the usurpers, robbers, & murderers, called governments, that now plunder, enslave, and destroy them."
mpolzkill 4 years ago
mts: Only idiots believe in utopia, nice straw man. Makes me puke, its like a Christ complex.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
When you don't believe in violent coercion & theft, forced common ownership & moral crusading, you have to do the SANE thing and BOYCOTT racists, or move away. They will always be poor & stupid, why all the fear of them? If you are like the closed-minded all-knowing host here, by all means put what I'm saying in your "loony" box. That's what you were trained to do. Self esteem IS the MOST important thing right? We don't want anyone giving your ego doubt about your urbanity & perfect morality.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
mts: One more thought your smug & callow posts inspired.

Why should they do any thing for us, if we will do nothing for them? If they stake their lives for us, they must be prompted"
mpolzkill 4 years ago
And what does that have in common with my comment?
finkster 4 years ago
finkster: You find this video humourous. The quotes show him to be perhaps the most racist president ever, invalidating the sophomoric points of this video.
mpolzkill 4 years ago 2
Yes, I know all about Lincoln being racist and the Civil War not being about slavery. Again, what does that have to do with me thinking that this video is funny?
finkster 4 years ago
finkster: You can think it's funny, that's fine, perhaps you are a fan of juvenile or absurdest humour, because the jokes in this aren't based on any kind of sound facts. I think it's about as funny as a video comparing Gandhi to Hitler. You could technically do a good job on that, but it would be, by its nature unfair. I thought it was funny too, but it sure did show that what Ron Paul says isn't what people think they hear. Civil War: "What is so wicked about saying we could have ended slavery without killing so many people?" That doesn't imply in any way that slavery wasn't abhorrent.
givebirthathome 4 years ago
What Dr Paul says IS what they hear. They were schooled (17 years for Stranahan) to have a singular view of history and to quickly detect "thought crime". It's not a conspiracy, it's a natural desire for socialists to protect the idea of socialism, what would happen to all their jobs? An example, the grand daddy bête noire of "racism", the Nazis. It would never do for kids to think of the Nazis primarily as a socialist workers party, no,no,no. Back to Dr Paul; to not spout standardized...
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Once again - you're making assumptions about me that totally wrong. You should really just admit you have no idea what you're talking about.
I have had maybe - maybe - 10 years of formal education, including dropping out of high school to start college when I was 15 and...wait for it...a year in a private high school run by AYN RAND FANS. You're just as wrong as you can be about 'my singular view' of anything. You speak from ignorance.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Maybe that's what turned you sour. Ayn Rand's cultish, interventionist, corporate loving "lbertarianism". I don't know? Just throwing out ideas seeing what sticks. And in my defense, (I knew this would happen) I wanted to say "POSSIBLY 17 years..") but was at 505 characters! Guess I picked the wrong word to toss out. I'm sorry to offend, sincerely. Although I'm probably offending even MORE now. I'm not that familiar with the strain of libertarianism you're from,& IF it's the one I think, blechh.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Nothing turned me sour. It's just that libertarian isn't workable political philosophy, for all sorts of reasons. Plenty of good ideas, plenty of bad ones.
Stranahan 4 years ago
That blanket statement is not impressive. I can only ASSUME, but everything you say leads me to believe you have a skewed idea of libertarianism and next to no knowledge of classical liberalism. What specifically is not workable? Because elitism & statism have carried the day and haven't utterly collapsed yet, that doesn't mean liberty is unworkable. In fact everything that does "work" is because of the modicum of liberty that exists, the inability of the elite to micromanage EVERYTHING.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
More assumptions - I know libertarian thought very well and the only reason you assume I don't is because I don't agree with it.
Let's start with plumbing and the sewage system - explain the libertarian solution to that, that perserves everyone's property rights - then go on to the roada.
Or give an actual response to the issue of raising revenue without the initiation of force. Or try this - point out a single example in history of where pure capitalism has been tried and worked.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Oh, that's classic stuff, the sewage stuff. Hold on a minute.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
You.......
mpolzkill 4 years ago

But it has happened, you can look it up. You DEMONSTRATE (maybe somewhere, deep inside you have great knowledge of the philosophy of liberty) a complete authoritarian philosophy.

And still - Ron Paul ain't our candidate.
Stranahan 4 years ago

Ayn Rand would be like Paul McCartney forming a "super group" with Charles Manson.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
I don't know what any of that means of has to do with anything. I'm not dropping names, I'm mentioning my actual connections to dates. I didn't say Ed Clark was anything but the 1980 candidate for President, who I did work for when NOBODY was a libertarian.
Stranahan 4 years ago
I dropped out and don't claim to have massive knowledge of the Bible, I was asleep usually
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Well..actually, what's happening is you keep making crazy, incorrect and baseless assumptions - so I think maybe I'm done.
I haven't made a single assumption about you, your background or why you believe things. I don't know your background - and this is important so please listen - if I wanted to know I'D ASK. Just that fucking simple, really.
It's easy - you can avoid false assumptions and being incorrect though curiosity and listening. But you won't, I'm convinced at this point so I'm done.
Stranahan 4 years ago
My only ASSUMPTION about you was that YOU weren't ever much of a libertarian. And I only said that after YOU directly stated that you were so much MORE knowledagble of libertarianism that you had GROWN OUT OF IT, and condesendingly implied that I would too after more study. Are you kiddding me with this line? YOU ASKED. GO back and look. You sure can dish it out, but the same thing comes back and you can't take it.
mpolzkill 4 years ago

Stranahan 4 years ago
Oh, ok, thanks for the invite. I said "it appears", I could be wrong. Just trying to find out where you stand. For a starter, do you believe that Americans with black skin enjoy most of their rights because Washington has decreed it?
mpolzkill 4 years ago
I think it's completely obvious that government action related to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 made life much, much better for not just black people but for the South as a whole - a more modern, less racist culture than the one that preceded it.
Stranahan 4 years ago
That wasn't my question, but I'll CONJECTURE on the Civil Rights Act as well. Maybe I'm crazy, but it's not obvious to me at all. Your reasoning is post hoc. How do you know that things are better now because of the CRA. My conjecture is that intelligent elites new that the blacks were about to TAKE their rights and they reversed their policy of institutional racism against blacks to get credit, prestige and later, votes.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
History, not conjecture.
You're proving the videos point about Ron Paul and his supporters - your position is de facto racism.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Who's history? Is "de facto" racism not as bad as racism, making it less of a slur against someone who doesn't agree with you on philosophical grounds?
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Oops, embarrassing: "knew that the blacks", NOT "new that the blacks" And I try not to talk like that ("the blacks") but the Feds do. They derive all their power from splitting people apart in arbitrary groups, making them fear and hate each other and then taking their money on the pretext of "protecting them" from the bad guys. Generally, righties are scared of A-rabs & libertines, lefties of their bosses, rednecks, gaybashers & god knows what.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
For me, personally, I don't find it very funny when it's implied that the world's most important peace movement and its selfless leader are a bunch of delusional racists by someone who has a platform, obviously has a strong bias and is factually ignorant and/or superficial.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Umm - who are you referring to when you say 'the world's most important peace movement and its selfless leader"?
Stranahan 4 years ago
(giggle, giggle, snicker) The movement to bring the United States government under the dictates of Natural Law & Doctor Ron Paul.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Oh - I thought for a second you might have meant the civil rights movement and Dr. Martin Luther King.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Doctor King WAS a great man and of course had his heart in the right place, sadly though his was a tragic misunderstanding of the Federal government and most white "liberals" (a word stolen from libertarians). Malcolm X was far more shrewd than Doctor King.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Malcolm is a fascinating person, agreed.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Yeah, he truly is. Any theories on why we don't hear much about him in the MSM and why the Feds have deified Doctor King?
mpolzkill 4 years ago
We hear about him all the time but compared to Dr King, he was a fairly marginal figure.
The interesting things about Malcolm to me were his massive intelligence and his ability to change so much over the entire course of his life.
Stranahan 4 years ago
And he was just getting started, that's why he's not with us. I don't wish to be abusive, but in "comparison to Dr King...marginal figure"!?!...You are a mental pygmy. That's not a crime, but to display it in public...
mpolzkill 4 years ago
In the civil rights movement, he was a fairly marginal figure. An interesting one and he got press and controversy, but his impact was no way near as large on the sweep of history. He kept himself at the margins, really.
Stranahan 4 years ago
Your finding that movement (in addition to your comments on the War Between the States) to be a lodestar is the evidence of your small mindedness.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Whew. You simply don't understand or are intentionally ignoring that absolutely massive changes that the CRM brought to US society. Why do you do that?
Stranahan 4 years ago
Post hoc. Coincidental. CRM was actually regressive to the extent that involved the murderers of 5 million Vietnamese and 1 million Iraqis for tin and then oil.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Huh?
Stopping Jim Crow laws relates to Iraq how?
Stranahan 4 years ago
They're not related. That's just evidence that the Feds have NO humanitarian considerations of ANY kind. If they were interested in American blacks, its because the blacks were about to go balistic. The Feds found a clever way to get in on the ground floor. Our rights do NOT emminate from this disgusting slime in Washington.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
ballistic & emanate, I get embarrassed.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
I'm getting the impression you were a libertarian about like Jim Bakker & Tammy Faye were Christians.
mpolzkill 4 years ago
I bid you goodnight, and thank you. What a rare privilege that such a man as you, a profound thinker, who has risen past the likes of Lao Tzu and Ludwig von Mises would take precious time from your important studies and deign to speak to an ignorant mortal such as I. (Seriously though, you ARE something special, I have never formulated a sentence THAT sarcastic in all my life. All I really wanted to call you all night was an ass.)
mpolzkill 4 years ago
Stranahan: HA! Unlike yourself, I don't know EVERYTHING (just the things I talk about, another difference we have) so I had to look up Ed Clark. I DO congratulate you on your long, arduous intellectual journey: all the way from (HIS freakin' quote...MAN!) "low-tax liberalism" to "HIGH-tax liberalism."
mpolzkill 4 years ago
If he continued on the path he was on, he would have destroyed the entire power structure of the world. Doctor King is mainly (philosophically) just a good and true but flawed Christian. That has always been safe. He was a little on the dangerous side, but its safe for the elites to deify him.

Ouch.

Move along people...nothing to see here, right?
So, tell me oh humorless one - why do I do videos about other candidates, too?
Stranahan 4 years ago
It seems that people deliberately avoid the fact that many of the "racist remarks" supposedly said by Ron, were not said by Ron.
For example, the 1992 newsletter written by Jared taylor, NOT Ron Paul, where he claims most African Americans in large cities are criminals. People have to start reading between the lines!
dusteroo 4 years ago
1) Whose name were those remarks published under?
2) When was it revealed that those remarks weren't written by Ron Paul?
3) Why did it take so long for those remarks to be seen as problematic by Ron Paul himself?
4) What does it say about the people who read the newsletter that those remarks didn't cause immediate controversy?

"he's not racist but his policies are" - that is still calling him a racist.
Ron Paul is not racist. His agenda is keeping the government from overstepping its bounds. He apparently felt that the act gave the government too much power and therefore voted against it.
The CRA did a lot more good than harm.
Likewise, Ron Paul will do the country much more good than harm even though he didn't vote for CRA.
You just want to paint the guy as a racist when he is not one.
