  • This is the first Castlevania game I ever played and it is still my favorite Castlevania game. I swear every piece of music in it is forever ingrained in my brain. Not that I have a problem with that of course...

  • dude this is so epic,

i could adventure to this song

  • ドラキュラ の クンビア :D Dracula's Cumbia!!!

  • Honestly, if it were not for this theme, my homework would never get done.

  • @ImPuLsEPaRaDoX1 Act I: History Homework Complete

  • Epic music for an epic Game !

  • this was posted on the castlevania fb page

  • Why are both the top comments completely identical?

  • I just poop my pants! ♪

  • top comments are the same , but kill me if they arent right xD

  • The graphics of modern games may have gotten better, but as far as game play music goes, these old school games are still the best.

    Castlevania

    Double Dragon

    Ninja Gaiden

    Etc

    Best soundtracks ever.

  • @AgApE010 true that

  • both of top comments are awesome

  • sorry. Famicom is better. fuck you Nintendo for being cheap with us "westerners"

  • Awesomenessessesssessss

  • This song is freaking ace!

  • i wonder how many times i played this first level and heard this music in my childhood. never beat the game. 20 years of trying.

  • @jeffbrister2004 I remember being a kid and feeling stunned when I realized that I actually was going to beat Dracula. I called two of my cousins over to witness it so they wouldn't think I was just making it up!

  • Vampire Killer, Bloody Tears, and Beginning. The three songs that represent the NES Castlevania trilogy.

  • @glitchedgamer And don't forget Dracula's Castle, the segue into the new era.

  • woa...both of top comment are exactly the same and both have 24 thumbs up....wierd O_o

  • @surororo one hasa period the other doesn't

  • This game marked the debut of this song.

  • [iminent rb=anim]This song is awesome[/rb]

  • JP version is god tier... too bad NES didn't allowed custom cartridges... ;_; this version is quite meh

  • @fanoultimatev3 You are so fucking right dude!!! There is absolutely no bass present in this version.

  • The new YT player keeps getting in the way of clicking the links.Sucks, but as far as the song goes, prime choice classic :)

  • Top comments in this video are awesome.

  • Fucking epic.

  • the famicon version is far superior.

  • this song makes cats explode

  • bloody tears is still better.

  • いい曲はチップ積んであってなくてもすばらしいですね。

  • best song in the game, seriously!!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT MY EARS ORGASM IN AWESOMENESS!!

  • It's like gorgeous art for my ears. Even for 8-bit, it still has that evil sound without it "trying" to sound evil, if that makes any sense.

  • AHH the memories!!!

  • awesome

  • NES totally beats PS3

  • awesome

  • The Beginning is sound like Super C of Stage 1.

  • This is one of my favorite ones on the nes castlevanias.

This game has some really awesome music.

  • what the fuck every song in this gamehas no name so i cant find it on youtube ugh

  • @binkinater

The names come from the soundtest (hold down A + B + Select, then hit start, at the title screen), so they should all be correct. I passed on naming them "Level 1", "Level 2", etc, because that depends on the path you take.

  • awesome

    'nuff said

  • Yesterday I beat this game without save stats! It's the best NES game I've ever played but i think ninja gaiden is very good, too

  • @Aceclade Actually, The US/PAL Edition of this game uses PCM Samples, but they are different

  • @moviemovies1

I did a quick but careful comparison, by isolating all the other channels and only listening to noise + DPCM from both soundtracks. The both use standard DPCM and noise for the drums. Two things make them sound different- the noise is used differently. You have much more sloshy, loud open hi-hat sound in the JP version. The US version I think uses mostly the same samples but only truncated to save room. The samples sound bigger in the JP version because you get to hear 'more'.

  • Awesome music.

  • Amazing song, but the famicom version is far superior.

  • Dude, wrong.

  • what are you talking about the japanese version is way better cause of the FM synthesizer. You're just ignorant because of your huge nostalgia boner for this game.

  • To each their own, I say. I made it easy to compare the different versions because I find it pretty interesting. :) Some I like more with the VRC6, some I don't...

But for clarification, there is no FM synthesis in the Japanese version. It has 2 additional pulse waves (with more duty cycles available), and 1 sawtooth wave.

  • That one is still better, it just sounds fuller and a lot nicer. A lot of the songs from Simon's Quest are better on the NES than they are on the FDS though.

  • @AntichristDemoncore

I do feel a nostalgic attachment to the American version of Castlevania 3, but I have to admit that the Japanese version is far superior in the audio department.

  • @AntichristDemoncore

Do you know the meaning of the word ''opinion''? Honestly, the idiocy the internet attracts these days..

  • awesome.

  • awesome
