@helloimcharliestreet no, it was done by a fellow named john callaghan at caltv (see uploader's page) the video is made up of cine-cam footage of my family through the late 60s and 70s taken by my dad, robert byrne. i gave john the footage to use but allowed him almost total control of how it would be edited. the last sequence (when my brother looks up at the plane passing over head) was the only part i had specifically asked to be used.
thanks for all the comments, guys. the young boy speaking in parts is actually a recording of me when i was twelve years old. at 2:07 it says "and of course, eh, no ID necessary" in a semi think dublin slur. :) i should have some new material very soon. thanks again. ciaran.

this is one of the most beautiful tracks ever. its also a close second to the best nostalgic song award, coming up behind kid for today of course. its unreal how such a simple melody can evoke such potent memories of your childhood. the new album is incredible.
Wow!!! how good is this? i didnt think anyone could come close to Boc,artists like Christ.ISAN,esem with the fantastic "Enveloped" album are there in my tops!! But now i see Ciaran Byrne entering the fray!! This video and track is just marvelous!! Also this isnt a track from the "Galtrim" album,so is this new stuff? anyways i'm buying the album now!!
So chill...

Damn. On one hand this makes me feel like BoC is formulaic and cheap; on the other hand, like they discovered something deep and universal...
