The original is still surreal and disturbing, owing much to the fact that the actors in Corman's 1957 version ( all who were stage- trained) play it absolutely straight w/ no whiff of CAMP. The same can't be said for any of the NOT OF THIS EARTH remakes.

Where did you acquire this? Wasn't this on double bill with Crab Monsters back in the day? I was under the impression that it never mad its way to DVD or video? Unless you were lucky enough to tape an old TV showing.

Check out Sinister Cinema. They have this 1957 gem on both VHS and DVD. The best movie Roger Corman ever directed ;still effective today.
