Yeah, that happens to me sometimes, and I don't know why. I just roll with it if it happens. Then again, a lot of players filming 5th and 6th gen games hit lag somewhere.

Best you can do is to minimize lag, and you do that by finding the right plugins and using CD images instead of the real deal--something I learned the hard way.
