I was originally from Toronto, but I have a New York frame of mind. I hate waiting, even for one minute, and I'm known to tell people exactly how I feel about their lack of punctuality. (I've even told my mother that it's a disgrace, and people these days don't have the patience to wait around forever.) honestly i just belive that Martin and Ramsey couldint communicate well, i see that Martin Is a cool guy AND will to learn but Ramsey just didn't want to teach him what to do as a General Manager? I feel bad that he did leave but then when reading he sued chef Ramsey for 1. Mil, congrads man. he deserved it he had no right to speak to you like that

Martin was full of shit and not capable of weathering the storm he had coming for him (and rightly so). That being said I think the fault certainly wasn't his alone to bear, but he wouldn't accept responsibility for it which is pure bollocks.
Since he wasn't a capable restaurant manager and the place was overstaffed anyway there would be no reason whatsoever to train him. Nor do I see why Ramsey should make an effort on such a piece of shit.

yeah but he's allowed to have a huge ego. he's one of the greatest chefs in the world, not to mention one of the most respected. He has done wonders with places like "Dillons". He's great, there's no denying that, and with greatness comes ego.. which is incidentally what allows him to BE so great.
I mean try to imagine him trying to turn a place like Dillons around without any self confidence.. it would be a disaster.

Say what you want about Chef Ramsay, he HATES egos. He may be a perfectionist but I do not see him as an egomaniac. He simply has zero tolerance for supidity, laziness AND egos because he knows what it takes to succeed in a very difficult industry and tells it like it is when the situation calls for it.

This will actually be the second time that Martin has tried to sue Ramsay, claiming that his reputation has been destroyed because of the show and that nobody will hire him.
He also claims that the problems with the kitchen, the rotten food, the cockroaches, the flies, were not his responsibility. He was the frigging general manager! It just sounds like he is trying to shift blame onto the other two managers.

I honestly don't know how he could effectively hope to win against Gordon, all he did was be lazy, incompetent and stupid - hardly anything Gordon made him do. If you were a restaurant boss, would you hire a lazy useless bastard like Martin whose only success is screwing your business? He should just forget about working period and claim unemployment; either that, or he could get a government job were being a lazy bastard is a requirement.

It's Dillons. "Dillions" was a typo that evidently wasn't found or fixed prior to the relaunch, but was fixed afterwards.
