before you wish for the Government to be in charge of your healthcare I sugest you visit a few VA hospitals. people wait for 2,3,4 hours for treatment or just to see a Doctor. The quality of care is not great Doctor are ok but people that work there I swear could not get a job anywhere else. They make alot of mistakes.

Because the government plan is like the plan you may have through your company that is subsidized by your employer. The problem is that the government employees are employed by us. So it is us who would be subsidizing the cost of any gov't funded plan. Costs won't go down, they'll just be moved from one group to another.

Go to your local Registry of Motor Vehicles or VA Hospital and see how the government runs something. A Bipartisan solution is necessary and simply not spend and tax.
I have 2 family members who work for the VA hospital, and they report that it is very efficient and well run. Yes, they have their problems (just like any other hospital), but as a whole they do a really good job.

Also, in the US when your benefits run out, ready or not and still sick or not, they send you home. By their definition of rationed care, it is already happening in the US everyday.

this make no sense. they mean rationing like what is going on in europe and canada. like in canada the waiting list for gynecological surgery is 4-12 weeks and tonsillectomy 3-36 weeks. or how there are as many 25,000 unnecessary cancer deaths in britian. or when the government says you cant buy a certain medicine if you are willing to pay full price because it is unfair. we have problems with our system but thats because over 50% of health care expenditures in our country are made by the gov.

Because the government plan is like the plan you may have through your company that is subsidized by your employer. The problem is that the government employees are employed by us. So it is us who would be subsidizing the cost of any gov't funded plan. Costs won't go down, they'll just be moved from one group to another.

I have 2 family members who work for the VA hospital, and they report that it is very efficient and well run. Yes, they have their problems (just like any other hospital), but as a whole they do a really good job.

In Europe even if you are a tourist and gets sick, you still get help. My brother had brain cancer and passed away 14 months ago in Ottawa. He was hospitalized for 16 months, taken to Montreal to be operated by one of the best neurosurgeons there, was constantly being pampered, lot's of TLC....All these lying pieces of crap here don't know what they are talking about!
