  • As a veteran, I say with confidence: This is a really bad song.

  • @mark1mod0 yeah this is garbage. look at 'keep the home fires burning' by cerys matthews. totally different, awesome song.

  • I have several points to make: Firstly, I expected this to be keep the home fires burning, a very good war song that I happen to like a lot. Secondally, this is patriotic, jingoistic drivel. The Wars in Afganistan don't defend American freedoms.

  • boooo

  • Crapp.

  • USMC OORAH and Semper-Fidalis

  • I have a correction to make-- Craig and Chrys were not married--he married a woman from Montoursville named Samantha. I guess they were thought of as a couple since they fit-in so well as co-anchors on WNEP-16! Does anyone know the whereabouts of Chrys McCabe now? Another anchor on Channel 16 named Mike Lewis is also a writer/singer. It would be fabulous if he and Chrys could do a song together!

  • I also worked there for 8 1/2 years, chrys is an anchor in Ohio?

  • @Dummycast She works for WTOL, the CBS station in Toledo, Ohio.

  • She and her husband, Craig Jehelka (from Montoursville) were co-anchors on Channel 16 in the AM in the early 90's. They were married in the Pine Street UM Church. I just did a search on Google and found this. I have the cassette tape of this song and thought I would never see the video again until I saw it on YouTube. This was from the Operation Desert Storm era--but fits in very well with Operation Freedom......

  • Yep.. I was the co-writer of the song.
