  • I went to the one at South Fork Ranch in 2007, I was covered from head to toe in mud. It was the best Celebrate Freedom I've ever been too.

  • i was there too! i almost lost a shoe. it was hilarious! fortunately a friend of mine was there to pull it out. it was so stuck i couldn't do it. : )

  • Sorry, I'm late on this one. Been busy, busy, busy. Quite nice camera work there and loved the sound of the storm. Nice to see you out and about with a camera. Always cool to see other people's part of the world.

  • thanks and its ok. i'm just excited you watched it!

  • Scary. I hate lightening.

  • yeah, but its cool to watch! it didn't come out as clear as i wanted on camera, but i got outa there before i blew away! : )

  • What in the world is "Celebrate Freedom"?

  • it's the name of the largest concert of christian bands in the world and it happens the weekend before the 4th every year in the dallas area. its free and it ends with the largest fireworks show in the state of texas. not many places get to have firework shows due to the fire hazard so its a pretty big deal. they had to cancel it this year though. : (

  • and it was free!

    i went friday

  • i wish i could have gone then! i had to work that night i believe. : (

  • do you do concession stands too?

i work the pizza hut wing street alot

  • naw i never have. i'm actually just a book/musicseller by day and a youtube fanatic by night!

  • o, ok

    sounds cool

  • i wouldn't fancy standing out in that lightning holding a guitar either ;}

  • haha. it would be more that huge metal stadium i think. it was like one giant conductor out there!

  • i love thunder storms, dunno why, probably cause we don't get many over here in Ireland, still lighting so cool to watch, i know it's a nerdy thing to say!!! hahaha!!

  • well it may be nerdy, but i understand! i love watching a storm roll in, and that one fun to see. that's funny i thought you'd get a lot of rain and storms.

  • Looks like it is rainy season all over.

  • it sure looks ominous, but there wasn't a whole lot of rain. just windy and a bit cool for my taste.

  • yeah we do get a huge amount of rain, even this summer it hasn't stopped raining, but we usually don't get many lighting storms, or any extreme weather like you guys get..

  • we definately don't get a whole lot of rain here, but storm are pretty common place. at least we haven't had the trouble with drought that we usually do for the past year or so. weather fronts usually blow through pretty fast though. these are the plains so nothing to stop the wind really.

  • It is always such a bummer when it 'rains on the parade'. too bad that your fav. band got canceled and the rest of the show. pooh. It is supposed to be bad weather here on Fri for the 4th as well. I always feel badly for those folks that plan huge celebrations.

  • it was a bummer! last year it poured but we could stay out because there wasn't any lightening. this year it rains for 5 minutes and they have to shut the whole thing down. oh well, there's always next year. besides, it did make for a really cool lookin' storm!
