Although I have always loved Eric Clapton (back with the Bluesbreakers, Cream, etc) I have to confess that "I Shot the Sheriff" was never one of my favorites. But when I took my son to see EC, this version of the Bob Marley piece was the most memorable part of the concert for me. While I always thought the studio version was "5 on a scale of 1 to 10" this live performance was a 12! Just fantastic, and I was delighted to see it on the Crossroads 2004 DVD.
I really like Clapton's music since i was a little kid and that version of this song definitely proves that Clapton is one of the best musicians ever.

He has a boost nob on his guitar so he basically uses no distortion or overdrive pedals and that makes for one of the best guitarist in the history of music. I cant put him in my top 5 but top 10 yes
