Do not destroy the Rainforest. The whole world literally is dependent of the Amazon Rainforest for it's service to the planet. It recycles 20% of our oxygen. Find another way to get energy. Use Renewal Energy! Just don't touch The Rainforest!
90% Of Israeli homes have solar water heaters. It may not be enough to all the country needs, but it's already very good and it shows it's possible to live with less electricity.

I´m Brazilian and I say YES to Belo Monte. Video accepts everything, James Cameron don´t go after North America huge polluters cause they support his film productions, those polluters cause 90% of the world pollution today and he doesn´t say anything. Bill Clinton did nothing to stop that. Brazilians are much more concern about environmental issues then foreigns, that´s the real problem, there are many international wood companies smuggling wood from the Amazon today.Dams are OK, period.
@riobabilonia Your comment is a mere attack on James Cameron, and not a defense of the dam. You present nothing to show that dams are ok, but somehow you end up at that conclusion. Dams create a myriad of environmental problems that overshadow the positive effects it creates.
@bwe0011 I´ve no need to "present" anything cause we already have huge dams in every different spot in Brazil.Since we already know what happens when we build dams,there are absolutely no need to "present" new data, who considered themselves experts in dams, should just visit the already built dams to see with their own eyes that the advantages are greater to the local communities and nature:Iguaçu & Furnas are beautiful examples.Environmental problems always increase without dam royalties.
@bwe0011 and by the way I was in Mexico when James Cameron was filming Titanic and I was amazed how he could totally destroyed that beach and menage not to get fined by Mexican environmental authorities, very talented man when comes to business and marketing, I must confess...
@riobabilonia you also have no business worrying about them. And if i were you i would learn about Wind and Solar power and vote no to displace any tribes or destroy pristine nature. But that's ok no matter what you say about the foreigns. I am Brazilian and SAY NO TO BELO MONTE and hey they are here to educate people and protect what you have but take for granted
