  • Amazing

  • Brian keep making more videos please. I have been watching your videos for a long time and they really improved my game, to the point now i am actually being noticed in tournaments.Skill does not come with posing and insulting people for their weight it is actually dedication determination and hard work. That is what you did.

  • Brian is a fantastic coach and a fantastic player and anybody who says otherwise, has no idea what they are talking about. AK :)!!!!

  • Bravo JM! Bravo JM! Bravo JM!

  • For those of you that criticize, I recommend that you try sticking your head in places that don't fit. This man has dedicated considerable time, energy and effort to put out numerous training videos to educate an inappreciative table tennis community here, in the United States. At the least, he is making a contribution. The training videos are very innovative ,creative and educational and deserve more credit than received. The man stepped out on his own and made a positive contribution.

  • But don't you have to wait for the ball to be below or at table height to loop it?

  • i love your videos Brian, keep up the good work!!!

  • Ty for the video. BTW dynamic, can u briefly explain the difference between a standard top spin and a loop? I am new to table tennis, cant really tell the2 apart. Thanks in advance.

  • Those who criticize him for not having the "perfect" form is nothing but narrow minded. Ma Long being so great is not because he having the "Ma Long big stroke", it is because his hard training, competent teammates, support system etc. Forehand loop is just another skill like walking. EVERYONE walks differently and yet most people served their function well, getting from here to there. Honestly speaking, his video is one of the reasons to make me from 600 to 1600 in a year! Thanks Brian!

  • Bravo, Bravo, and Bravo. Another one that really gets it.

  • @LegIsLate Thank you for speaking the truth! What he is showing is probably the most common and basic way to execute this stroke. There is no "perfect" stroke per se, it totally depends on the player and his/her preference and what the outcome is. Ma Long, Timo Boll both loop differently yet they are top players!

  • I'm really confused about all the vitriol here. This guy's a good player putting a polished product out there (FOR FREE) meant to help any youtube viewer with technique. Which, in a sport that's woefully underrepresented in America, should be met with some gratitude and constructive questions. Is he the Chinese national coach? No, but who cares, we're not good enough for that to make a difference.

And as for the fat jokes: does no one know what a mesomorph is?

  • @AGrimGrim Bravo, Bravo, Bravo. This guy gets it.

  • @DynamicTableTennisTV I'm gonna be honest, your forehand loop looks exactly like the 2300+ players that play at my club. So if you're getting haters, I honestly wouldn't even care.

  • In ur video are u legs too parralell should u put ur left leg in front more? just wondering

  • Cut this guy some slack. He has made a good easy to understand video. Stop looking for things wrong

  • i thought the loop was the side spin shot

  • this guy looks like martin lawrence lol

  • Brian Pace is the man! High rated player, keeps explanations simple, impressive legs...but what about his fat practice partner? Must be a friend. Well, if you have good technique, 300 lbs won't matter. I must say, your practice partner makes me simile every time I see him.

  • And to those who voice that the Chinese way is the only correct way, bullshit! To those who criticize others, in this case, a top player in the US, because they've merely subscribed to the Chinese technique of looping, don't think for a second that you're somehow vouching or representing that style and hence superior. Chances are you haven't even mastered the style if anything, so stop basking in your illusions of reflected glory. Bottom line, it's the practitioner, not the style.

  • Brian, I admire your classy and civilized responses to those critics whose claims fully reveal their ignorance. Some of them are just downright rude. I can't help coming to your defense just a bit. Folks, Brian is demonstrating the most basic loop and in a practice rallying situation, not competition. That comment about looping means hitting the ball on its descent, well that depends on the incoming shot and the shot you want to hit---you don't always hit it during its descent.

  • Great videos. I look forward to learning more from you. Don't let the haters get you down. Think about it. If a guy is so great at table tennis would he really be spending so much time looking for things to put down? Don't even respond to haters. Stay humble and do what you do.

  • hello Mr Pace I've had the pleasure of watching you play. In my eyes you are a great player. Could you please explain further the proper contact point for the LOOP stroke. I've also heard something about contacting ball on the way down for loop execution. Please explain this misnomer!!! if one does exist.

  • Jcklam betrays his ignorance, as all he is saying obviously comes from jealousy. Thank you kindly for the video; it really helped me out!

  • A typical funny reply from a loser. My last advice to u: lose weight !

  • @jcklam2001 My advice: Do a video yourself and show me the right way to do it. Put your actual name on your youtube, your level, and what you have accomplished that makes you an Expert on how to critique. I don't even know who you are. I'll be waiting for that awesome video

  • @DynamicTableTennisTV Man! When you do a video and put it here in youtube, a lot of people come and look for something wrong just for criticizing. Well, I liked your video, and in my opinion there are a lot of ways for do shots in table tennis, we can see differents kinds of backhand or forehands from chineses, japaneses, , European...and all they are right. Your video is good! Congratulations.

  • @ZeDuBreju Cool. You are the type of person that will get something out of my youtube videos.

  • @jcklam2001 WTH, hes not fat! Its called muscle you idiot.

  • are u kidding me ? you didn't even lower your body ! have u completely transfered the body weight from the left leg to the right ? Top of bounce ? really ? are u sure ? for looping, all national chinese coaches tell their student to contact the ball when it falls under the table ? Do you really understand the secret reason ? your looping = kidding

  • I think you are living in the "Stone Age". There is a reason that you are watching my videos. There is a reason that you don't have a world ranking, or have not won a National Title. There is a reason you have not played Internationally. If you think you know better do the following:

    1. Script A Video

    2. Storyboard A Video

    3. Shoot a Video ( On 3 HD Cameras)

    4. Introduce a Training Method

    5. Animate that Training Method

    6. Create a Professional Set

    7. Edit the Video

    Don't talk, Do

  • @doudecad well, that's your opinion, considering one of the most dynamic powerhouses of offensive game is short underspin serves combined with that exact stroke, taking control of both offensive game and eliminating the opponents chances of offensive takeover. It's not THE stroke of all strokes, but it's kind of a big deal.

  • That ius NOT a loop!!

That is a forehand top spin shot!!

That is in no way a loop!!

The shot thqat you call a loops is NOT the most dynamic shot in the sport.

A loop involves catching the ball on its downward trajectory and coming up under the ball with tremendously violent upward wrist movement........need i go on...

  • @doudecad try telling that to the chinese who can loopkill on the rise.

  • If you think you know better, do a video and show me yourself. Let me see your technique. Let me see your form. Let me see you script something people will believe. Then edit, shoot, and produce a video and see if you can actually get more positive comments than negative

There is a reason you are viewing and taking the time to comment on my video.

  • a proper European loop

  • extremely helpful. your also incredible at this sport. keep posting videos.

  • Is it possible to smash a ball at that ball height?

  • How low can the ball get before the forehand loop won't work?

  • very good

  • I have been playing for a while now and I'm not trying to criticize or pretend I know more than I do but isn't this simply a drive with a little topspin? When I try to accomplish a loop the ball is usually far below the apex of the bounce (around table level and sometimes lower) and then the stroke starts much lower and ends up a little higher generating much more topspin thus giving it the the extreme rise and fall action of what I think is a loop. So if that's not a loop, what is it?

  • Loop is a topspin shot shot with a lot of friction. It can be hit in 3 areas, off the bounce, top of the bounce and on the drop. Brian is looping top of the bounce.

  • nice vid thnx for posting

  • very clear instruction. Thank you!

  • How can you differentiate Euro and Chinese Loop? Can you do a video series on Chinese Loop?

  • What's the difference?

  • Chinese loop uses Chinese rubber.

  • Is there a difference in the stroke production, considering the known characteristics of the rubbers?-I use Friendship and Gambler-

  • There's a difference in stroke production. For a video on Chinese loop please see: watch?v=K-8BcMjqFvs

  • Nice-but he is simply taking the ball midway-the topspin loop is an European invention, but the Chinese definitely invented the counter loop. All loops are good, loops do not have nationality or ethnicity-Guo's loop was as powerful as Istvan although hit at different points. Ma Long and Wang Liquin looping - watch?v=Y5hszYsRUhA

  • Please read the blog entry. He says he is looping to a customer meaning he is taking it easy.

  • Let's just say the Euro loop digs into the sponge of the rubber more and produces a more high arcy trajectory while the Chinese loop sweeps the ball forward for the spin while the body mechanics provide the speed of the ball which travels much lower than the euro loop.

  • I heard you-I am aghast at your theory and I cannot validate what you say-Can you give me a reference for this then? Or better yet -classify these loopers based on your criteria - Guo Yuehua, Cai Zhenhua, Wang Liqin . . . What has happenned is that the shakehand loopers are no longer copies and the players are mentally stronger than before, but the loops are as an European as World Wars I and II

  • It's your time to do research as this one is not an easy one to explain. You have your own understanding on the loop and it's really hard to change something you have been following for a long time. Compare Brian's loop with the loop in these videos: watch?v=K-8BcMjqFvs and watch?v=okYH-3oPzYE

  • I don't need to do any research- I know the players and stroke production quite well-You brought up the silly point abouyt Chinese and European loops-first talking about loops with chinese rubbers and then suddenly, with hindisght, you create some nebulous theory without references-Unless you are Cai Zhenhua, I will say you are talking sh!t

  • See you have your own belief and I have mine. Please go and discuss this topic on various table tennis forums as this topic as discussed a few times already and you'll see what I mean. Your rudeness and obscenities won't change anything.

  • Obscenities are like side spin on a loop-An european invention (Remember Stipancic) mastered by Waldner with new variations created by Wang Hao - Can you side spin loop on the backhand? And you are still talking sh!t Give a legitimate reference-People discuss everything on the net-From Obama the muslim to Palin the prophet

  • If you think I'm talking sh!t then don't reply back. It's that simple.

  • Don't some RITC rubbers (729) have German sponge?

  • Yes but what I'm talking in general is traditional Chinese tacky rubbers. RITC is a manufacturer and being a Chinese manufacturer doesn't mean you only produce Chinese tacky stuff. For example, Butterfly a japanese company do sell tacky rubbers like Tackifire. RITC, a chinese manufactuer sells grippy euro/jap rubbers.

  • So RITC-Friendship is really not a Chinese rubber then? 729 is not tacky and grippy? Okaaay -Name your manufacturer, then?

  • What I'm saying is manufacturers produce different kinds of rubbers!

  • wow. that was excellent.

  • very good 5*****

  • Thanks a lot man. I appreciate it.

    Brian

  • How do you catch the bat? And tightly or loosely

  • Good! 5/5!

  • nice good job
