is there away to combine surface/region that is not at the same plane? for example (in civil/architectural field) i have several wall surfaces and floor surfaces and i want them to be selected in one click. thanks.
@autocadvids Sorry, but using the SUBTACT command, it won't ask me anything after selecting the objects to be subtract from/off. Like all it does is asking me to select the objects, it wont ask me if I wanna keep the objects or not.
Perhaps if you're thinking about the SLICE command?
@dulerong5 Sorry I was thinking of the wrong command. Probably the easiest way to do this is to duplicate the same objects in same place and then subtract one part then use the subtract command again and subtract the second part. Therefore leaving the two individual parts together but detached. Hope this makes sense.
Whats a good command to use to draw tread on a tire? I know how to draw a tire but I cant figure out how to show tread. I was thinking subtract would work but I dont know how to make the pattern go around the whole tire. Id also like to draw a car thats rounded like say a porsche but I dont know how. Any tips?
thanks...do you know how to put nice doors, windows and other textures in a house.?where can i get those?thanks for replying coz we have project in school .a building and a house...so i hope you won't tired in answering my questions..thanks a lot.

Is there any way to subtract the surface but also keeping both figures? so instead of erasing one of the component, keep both.
Sort of like Combine&Fit by compromising one component to fit the other component.

@dulerong5 Yes, just select N (No) when it asks to keep both objects.

hello.when doing a house plan...is it better to start first with the floor?
teayangxxooo3 2 years ago
Yes, it is better to start with a floor (much like the slab when building a house) and build your other objects around it.
