It seems like the video pauses when the music stops and the dog stops smiling. Also the dog seems to be smiling because of whatever the person there is doing, not ponies, due to the can reflection.
Mind you I'm saying this because it only seems faked, but I'd love to be proven wrong so I can appreciate this video a lot more =3
@FirelordBob7 This is so cute, I hate to be the downer. Dog's don't smile when they're happy, but their mouth opens and they pant when they're excited. Judging by the can reflection, I think someone's waving a favorite toy of the dog's around, as if they're going to throw it for him, and he's getting worked up. Then they stop, and he becomes attentive, like "what should I be doing to make him continue?".
