The evil powers that be decided to drill down into the side of a deep sea Volcano and what we saw was TAR, GASSES, SILT and a lot of drama and power of suggestion. People were not allowed in the vicinity and were not allowed to take photo's. But there was no oil spill.....they dumped some oil crap around the coastlines here and there and threw some dead fish and birds in amongst it all. MOP UP immediate afterwards was easy...and they get one step closer to their goal...total control of OIL!
when are the criminal indictments coming? don't think you'll see t boone pickens behind bars anytime soon. the bp oil disaster was another calculated event with dick cheney's thumb prints on it. anyone can figure this one out, haliburton, bp, t boone pickens, oil pipeline, fracking natural gas, get it. you've been had. and this asshole has the nerve to show his face on tv?
Im an independent, my dad's a democrat and my grand mother is a republican, so I can say that if u stereotype any political party, u can go screw your self, cause it's people like you that have screwed up this country and tainted what should have been the best damn country ever
no top coment ok urm .......how lives in a pineapple under the sea no1 thnxs to bp how died in an oil spill cause of bp spongebog sqaurepants sponge bob sqaurpant spongie bob sqaurepants Ha ha ha ha . XD
Matt DAMON is an absolute fucking lunatic radical prog--laying in traffic to spew his views and berate conservatives--what I meant earlier is that he would NEVER be a part of a documentary that didn't go off the rails for radical collectivism. Ever since he starred in Good Will Hunting, he believes he is that character----for real....ditto George Clooney, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Barbara Striesand---all wacked out --all tofu eating, bike riding, sweater wearing collectivists
If your treasurer is putting the brakes on risky lending instead of forcing it to happen(like we had), then that bodes well for you...wish we had fiscal conservatives here running things, but Reagan was the last we had.
Australia is the only democratic country without a bill or charter of human rights
Google "Australia-the worlds number one nanny state" and read the article. We've heard alot in our press about these authoritarian laws overtaking your country just as they have Europe and our own liberal bastions. read that article and you'll have a better idea what I mean by "dabbling..."
But back to your blaming greedy bankers because Matt Damon says so....look up the facts I gave you...check out the CRA(community reinvestment act)...study the collapse of fannie/freddie despite warnings from Greenspan and others...see how the US govt recklessly gave TRILLIONS to European banks in Fed write-offs(off the books)--go here on youtube and search "9 trillion missing"--then tell me the liberal democrats in the US govt didn't cause the GFC while Bush stood by and watched like a fool
"we had huge budget surpluses"--yeah, you guys were carrying a natl debt long before the GFC--some surplus in this or that yr doesn't erase your debt...and now you face a housing bubble like we had. In fact, the ratio of housing prices to income in Australia is the worst in the civilized world--almost 8 to 1...and you have a growing debt problem--some in your country call it the AUS debt bomb--soon to top 1 trillion and beyond. We had a great economy too--before the bubble burst--keep bragging
@smokethosetaliban No that's where you're wrong. From 2003-2007 under the Howard Government (He came into office in 1996), not only did we have huge budget surpluses but we actually had zero debt. The Australian government had a lot of money in the bank during that period. Look it up man. We've had budget surpluses since 1996 (minus the past 2/3 years)
@mdr279 I've looked at your debt tables before and I just did again--you've always had debt, but often at admirably low levels. But that speaks to an even more serious problem if in such a short time you are approaching 1 trillion before your housing bubble. You are very dependent on foriegn oil which is more risky than ever. Not trying to berate you--we have much worse problems here. Just saying...
@smokethosetaliban I'm 100% positive that during period I mentioned, the Australian government had zero debt levels. Type in Australian government net debt into google and have a look at the 2004 to 2007 period. Our current government and treasurer are absolute dickheads. However, Howard and Costello lead the country brilliantly from 1996 to 2007. The current government is fucking wasteful and are on the verge of getting thrown out.
@smokethosetaliban Yeh you're right, house prices are fucking astronomical here. However, the Howard government which had Peter Costello as Treasurer brought into law banking regulations that means banks have to be vigilant in analysing people's credit risk so that you don't have a whole bunch of people defaulting. Yes, house prices have started to slow a bit recently but nothing drastic is going to happen because of this. Here, $2 to $3 million houses are as common as anything... high demand
what do you have against socialism? you think obama is ok...he's a socialist in the extreme. You favor govt regulation, you distrust capitalists--you have a socialist streak running right through you
"why would the US government back those loans?"--because the CRA was a social engineering program to force bankers to lend to high risk borrowers so that we could have an "ownership society"--look it up
@smokethosetaliban just admit Australia isn't socialist and I'll leave it there. Prior to the GFC, we had huge budget surpluses and desirable levels of growth and unemployment. And even now we're doing well...... If europe was "weakened by socialism" and if we supposedly "dabble in socialist policies", then how come we aren't weak......... Probably because we're not socialist...
Why were southern lenders threatened with lawsuits for "redlining" and ultimately forced to lend to the indigent? S&P gave those ratings because THE US GOVT BACKED EVERY LOAN WITH IT"S FULL FAITH AND CREDIT. You didn't know that, did you?
We have to have regulations in society we can have oil companies spilling oil everywhere that don't care about the wildlife or their fellow man distributors Wells rich and don't care if don't here careand destroy the planet .it shows that we have imbeciles running on world that they believe in god and everything to be OK innate think they all will be going to have and heaven they should be worried about what we're living on this planet now not theirs official holier than thou.it make me sic.
Hey for anyone out there who is struggling as a Truther because of all the name-calling and demands for proof by skeptics, there's something you must realize. Skeptics aren't concerned with the "content" of the argument. They are addicted to the "negativity" that arguing satisfies. Facts don't matter. They get a "fix" from calling you names and elevating themselves (in their heads). So don't be quick to retort immaturely like they do... simply ignore them.
@cmadodge Let's juxtapose two statements by you--"Why did Halliburton buy Boots & Coots (an oil spill damage control company) three weeks before the spill? Folks, folks, folks.... they aren't going to stop... what's next?"--And now--"Skeptics aren't concerned with the "content" of the argument. They are addicted to the "negativity" that arguing satisfies. Facts don't matter"--So Mr. Truther, you supplied the "negativity", but where is your "content"? Be an adult and post here--not @ my channel
@cmadodge --Again Mr. Duck & Dodge --have you just one single shred of evidence that Haliburton conspired to create this spill in order to profit from the cleanup--do you really "stand behind" your comments--or are you a vendor for innuendo and hollow accusation? You boldly state--" Skeptics aren't concerned with the "content" of the argument"--Well, I am very interested in seeing your content...if you have any...I'm waiting.............
@cmadodge Hey, Duck & Dodge--you bragged that you research current events as a full time job on Youtube(I smell BS)--so you have had days to absorb my challenge to your BS and respond, but you ran away instead. It's okay--I understand and I accept your resignation on this issue--you had no choice but to back away since your original post was pure Bullshit. Maybe I have taught you to be more factual the next time you poke your head out of your hole.
OH! Fucken come on! The shrimpers down in that gulf have been destroying that water for the good part of 60 years. Dredging all kinds of by-catch and killing it all. 10 pounds of shrimp and 200 pounds of by-catch!!!!! Oil drilling never killed 1/1000th of the oceans creatures like commercial fishing. GET FUCKING REAL!
@dorksayswhat -- I wouldn't put it past BP to hire anonymous youtube schills to distract BP's responsibility for unsafe oil drilling practices & foolish economizing by not using basic safety systems like failsafe oil preventor systems. Did you even WATCH this vid? Shrimpers didn't cause huge oil-pollution catastrophe & then spray millions of gallons of deadly poison, together which are destroying Gulf's fisheries besides sickening & killing thousands of coastal residents & crippling economy.
@starmanskye --Hey Starman--Hyperbolie much?--" I wouldn't put it past BP to hire anonymous youtube schills to distract BP's responsibility"--"destroying Gulf's fisheries"--"killing thousands of coastal residents"--WOW...where do you hacks come from? Got any proof that BP hired Youtube schills? Got any proof that gulf fishing is destroyed? Can I see a list of the names of the "THOUSANDS OF DEAD COASTAL RESIDENTS"? Or are you just a mudslinging schill for the enviormental wacko cult?

Why did Halliburton buy Boots & Coots (an oil spill damage control company) three weeks before the spill? Folks, folks, folks.... they aren't going to stop... what's next? Haha
@cmadodge --"Why did Halliburton buy Boots & Coots (an oil spill damage control company) three weeks before the spill?"--Why don't you summon the courage to answer your own question? And when you accuse Haliburton of some conspiracy, why don't you provide some proof that their purchase of b&c was an evil plot? I guess you think that Dick Cheney was involved, right? CMON--give us more than cheap innuendo--if you have anything...let me take a wild guess...you're a liberal, aren't you?
@cmadodge --" I stand by every comment I've made... So please don't demand proof from me. That's your job. Lazy"
--If you stand behind every comment you make, then stand behind your innuendo about Haliburton--spare me your personal bio--I was a squid also(ET1su) and I also follow current events, so now that we're acquainted, let's hear your proof that Haliburton conspired to create the spill to profit from the cleanup as you implied. BTW, slinging smears without any proof is "lazy"
BP is 50% British owned and 49% American owned, so there's clearly a big difference. The oil spill happened in America, on a rig that was built by Americans and the building of which was sanctioned by the US government. Safety checks were carried out by Americans and the rig was under the control of American workers. Add to that the fact that BP is no longer even known as British Petroleum, but solely as BP, was a decision made by the company to reflect their multinational status.
@bluemoonrising26 you forgot to say who BP biggest share holder is. JP Morgan chase. Wall street bank. 28.34%. funny how these people wasn't mentioned in the American Press. lets just stand on and burn a British Flag for what is clearly an american error. patriotism works in a fucked up way.
@gymnosophy Sigh. It's true that George W Bush is not the president any more. But his attitude makes me sick. At the end of the day, he is responsible for his own policies. Some Democrats have the BRAINS to trash Bill Clinton for signing NAFTA today. So why can't Republicans do the same? Why do they feel the urge to protect George W. Bush? What has Bush done for them? What a bunch of white trash. Pathetic. They pretty much let Bush get away with everything. GOP has no respect for them
I sort of doubt the people commenting on this video are ready for a real solution, but some of you might be so just in case you haven't heard of it yet, The Venus Project is well worth your time researching thoroughly.
It really is ridiculous that some Britons are now saying that Americans are greedy and only blame Britons when things go bad. Hey assholes, when nothing was wrong, you fucking Britons were making trillions (and still are), did Americans trash you?
Now that something went wrong, we Americans can't even bitch about it?
So you Britons can keep all the profits, and Americans will need to act like a bunch of morons and demonized by the rest of the world forever as evil vultures yearning for oil?
@ttiiyy It's always a touchy subject when people attack others. It's also a touchy subject that Americans use 4X the amount of fossil fuel as any other nation... We just need to watch what we do, ourselves. For example, I live downtown so I use an electric bike in 3 seasons, public transit in the winter and grow my own fruits and vegetables on my balcony.
@donsjuand Americans use 4X the amount of fossil fuel as any other nation?? Really? Any other nation? Can you even provide any data to back up that statement? You know what the irony here, in the eyes of Muslims, NO western country is innocent.
I am looking forward to any data that you can provide. I am so sick and tired of people like you that make irresponsible statements without referencing any research at all.
Indians probably think Canada is part of the problems as well ;)
@ttiiyy Yeah Canada needs to reduce intake. Let me clarify this is not a finger pointing thing - my interest is of truth. My research is the 2010 United Nations Environmental Development Report available from their website, which I discovered during my Environmental Studies coursework. A lot of meaningful stuff there. I wish Youtube allowed links. I don't drive, I take public transit and walk. Buy energy efficient things only when I NEED something and grow fruits and vegs on the balcony.
@donsjuand Just to clarify, the research I have is per capita carbon emission. With China producing more products to export globally (the US is the greatest consumer) China as a whole is emitting the second highest amount of co2, behind the US. In China, most is due to coal fired production plants. In the US, most is due to vehicles, then coal. The significance is that once we know where the carbon is coming from, we can avoid supporting it. For example, which companies are green powered?
@ttiiyy "What about the oil spill, BP have been getting in the neck from Obama! you cant win with these Americans, they spend billions of dollars invading Iraq just to get the oil but you pour millions of gallons on their front lawn and its just moan moan moan!" - Alan Carr. America sucks big time, your a bunch of moaning assholes!
@KickAssMusicDaily Your point only makes sense if Spain does not rely on the oil. In case you don't know, your own government is trying to get a piece of the pie for the oil in the Middle East. In the eyes of Muslims, your country is one of the evil greedy western countries ;)
@ttiiyy Are we talking about Spain or the UK? cos for one I live in Spain but I am from the UK so I couldnt really care less about the Spanish goverment!!
The real reason is people not anticipating and evaluating potential effects of their own decisions. For ex if I say sure, go ahead and regulate yourself (I trust you without any reason for doing so). Where is the evidence to show you WON'T pollute? How can all parties prove their actions will not cause negative consequence? This should be in writing BEFORE allowances for any drilling. How can ships be prevented from spilling tailings to begin with?
The the catastrophe happened IN AMERICA, the rig was built BY AMERICANS, workers on the rig were AMERICAN, the rig and its staff were reliant on AMERICAN health and safety procedures, which was/is carried out by AMERICANS...
all the best things come from Uncle Sam,the best serial killers, best school massacres, best rapists, best paedophiles, best (c)rappers, best hypocrite TV evangelists, etc, etc.
BP took the heat on this because they were British. Obama hates the Briitish, because they controlled Kenya. Halliburton (Notice a second Dick Cheney connection) were the ones cementing production casing at the well but BP were the ones that picked up the bill when it failed. If the British had a PM with balls, he should have pulled out of the US wars, stop being a larger lender to the US, closed US bases and and basically said welcome China.
@antisamlx This man Cheney is one of the worst criminals in history. He is knowingly poisoing forever, all the ground water in the USA drilling for natural gas for money he eventually will have no where to go to spend. Obama knows all about the banks, the $700,000,000,000 dollar robbery, the HMO driving people into bankrutcy, and the mortgage fraud. Why is he doing nothing? Figure it out. Why has he lied about the Gulf spill?
The Lawyer will defend an enviromentalist if he blew up a tanker and cause a great tragedy. Of course he will use the same defense blame Bush and Chaney and the stupid jury will probably find that idiot not guilty, even if 100s die, At this day and time hatred for Bush and Chaney was great.
I agree with most of your statement except America is not a state? Obviously it is a country you dumb fuck and Destroy it? Everyone in the country can not be blamed for other peoples or the governments actions. I am an American and I think the government is a piece of shit and we stick our heads where it does not belong and yes just about everyone is greedy but destroy it fuck you! But yes our gov't is terrible and our presidents recently also are fuck ups!
I like the fact that you listen to your audience whether someone enjoys your videos or not. The comments box is a free and open forum for communication...just like most Youtube material. That is cool. What isn't cool are things like the British Petroleum videos in the suggestion cue that attempt to hitch their propaganda efforts to popular material like yours. I say propaganda sincerely because the BP videos have omitted viewer comments.
Quote "i dont know why the media is not talking about this".....who own's the media????
I thought with the massive fuel cysis we couldnt afford to loose so much oil,5000 barrels a day ffs)...i've seen fuel prices go up simply because of what day of the week it is,....Golf oil spill...& fuel prices have stayed the same.....why?....because who ever is controlling the media doesn't want us consumers to kick up a big fuss about it,...imigration & war is more important after all!!!!Bloody Sheep,...
The Be Jesus Windmill is a pure form of Newtons Laws and uses diametrically opposed Blades creating 4 walls of pure power per revolution. patent drawings horizontally as big as Hoover Dam Like more than a Barrel of oil saved per rev. but Can not tax air But hey I got a Dear John from president Obama it has Got almost 1/100th Btu value and a verified Signature but won.t waste anything even a match.

1Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood. 3Therefore shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, with the beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven; yea, the fishes of the sea. Repent!

When US Multi National, Union Carbide murdered 25000 innocent Indian peasents in Bhopal, the reaction in America was.....yes , you guessed it, next to fuck all.
Compare that to the hysterical witch hunt and hand wringing when the shit lands on your own doorstep and draw your own conclusions !! the vile stench of USA hypocracy is enough to make any reasonable person sick to the stomach. America-- the most greedy, vile, dangerous, destructive, sick state on this planet. DESTROY IT !!!
@stratking69er Youre a fucking moron. Sure there are a lot of dumb people, but your shithole country has its share as well. The real problem is the government in this country. Everything tha goes on here is lining some politicians pockets with money. There are plenty of citizens here, like myself, that are fed up with the bullshit. At least be correct when you make a statement.
@mkeulr You stupid fuck, is that all you've got to his comment? Fool, he meant state as in: "Your Mother is a state" you know what "State" means? "State" as in MESS, you dozy little cunt, don't try being cocky you jammy twat. Your country is a STATE, a FUCKING MESS!
Comprende? You dozy yank bastard, jump off BP's dick, check Mist Mountain, or the BILLION pound deal with Rosneft (East-Prinovozemelsky field), Canadian Oil Sands, or BP's Liberty Well.
@2BarKawi Screw you...you fucking wierdo....You can tell from the sentence he used the word state in that he was referring to the US as a state, not as a state of being. Your usage of words is a joke. The fact that you get so bothered by a simple 7 word comment that is not even derrogatory proves what kind of life you have...which is no life. Sad ass little pussies like yourself should dissapear. Go on and rant your fucking gibberish, you are as insignifcant as someone could be.
@mkeulr Country is a term that distinguishes one geographical border from another. The term state refers to the political frame work that makes the laws to control the population. The USA is a independent, so called Democratic, free enterprise state which borders the countries of Canada and Mexico. It has become a facist state governed by manufacturing corporations that has crippled its environment most likely forever.
@mkeulr Country is a term that distinguishes one geographical border from another. The term state refers to the political frame work that makes the laws to control the population. It has become a facist state governed by manufacturing corporations that has crippled its environment most likely forever. And yes, the USA and Canada are in a terrible state!!!!!!!
@Wesh67300 It isn't about countries, it is about individual people who need to be held accountable for SH#TTY f#cking decisions that threaten your health by polluting foodwebs to stockpile their money, then rinse and repeat the dirty cycle. Get mad at the politicians and hold them accountable for passing laws that help oil companies. Oppose the chamber of commerce. Let it be known.
@donsjuand i agree with but unfortunately will never happen in our lifetime. The big problem is lot blame to go around and none of them will take the hit.
@lovejen01 Well, I'm not sure and I have hope. I'm persuing my undergrad to work in policy development and I am seeing a lot of new developments and momentum swings globally. The UN and 168 allies are working together at varying degrees of progress towards reduced GHGs of 80% by 2050 through renewable energy. There are global agreements being developed and progress is constantly evaluated. Political, economical, social, corporate and governance policy frameworks have/are being made. :D
@stratking69er "the vile stench of USA hypocracy" lol - like the hypocracy involved in ranting about the US when BP is owned 40% by the UK, and currently has a tidal wave of Kenyan genocide and slavery cases going through your courts right now. While the US was putting 100's of millions into Africa, the UK was still enslaving it. FYI, youtube is US corp, if your so damn sick of the US why are you on here?
@98DevilDog79 I think what he's trying to say (without being personal) is that the government lies to it's people sometimes by stating it is free. It is lying because you have corporations influencing the senate through the Chamber of commerce and politicians allowing themselves to be bought or sold on an idea that supports big business and in doing so, put the health of people and ecosystems in direct harm's way. That is hypocritical and if I were you I'd be DAMN mad.
@stratking69er The more and more crap I see come out of the US, the more glad I am that Australia is part of the Commonwealth. On a seperate issue, it's scary how damn ignorant and oblivious to the rest of the world the average American is. Most probably couldn't even pinpoint europe on a map... Most think Australia is full of crocodile dundees roaming the bush for a living. It's about time Americans looked far enough out of their own assholes to understand they are not the only country on earth
@mdr279 --It is amusing that you insult the intelligence of the average American though your own writing skills are crude and sophomoric. You should toss out your computer because Americans created the computer age. Turn off your electricity because we pioneered the electrification of the world. Don't drive a car because we did that too. Don't fly in a plane...you know why. Need a heart transplant??? And BTW, dickbag, Americans had no trouble finding Europe on a map in 1941--get my point???
@smokethosetaliban Oh my writing skills are crude now are they? You're the one calling me a "dickbag". Unfortunately I think you're the individual here lacking intelligence as you completely failed to comprehend the point of my argument. Did average Americans pioneer electricity, computers or planes? No they didn't. My point is that your academics are obviously amongst the most intelligent in the world but the average American in this age amounts to a bonehead.
@mdr279-" Did average Americans pioneer electricity, computers or planes-No they didn't."-This is an obvious lie. "the average American in this age amounts to a bonehead"-considering the huge number of inventions by "average Americans", this too is a lie. "America was a great nation 50 to 100 years ago but nothing of the sort these days"-I debunked this lie showing our world leadership in high technology and medicine up to this day. Ransom Olds was the first to produce cars in quantity>>>
@smokethosetaliban continued... America was a great nation 50 to 100 years ago but nothing of the sort these days. Yes you are correct. Americans had no trouble finding Europe on a map....... IN 1941! However, your nation is now a place plagued by ignorance. It's humorous that you were once a world leader and yet now you can't even pay off your loans... BTW a man by the name Karl Benz invented the automobile....... he's German.
@mdr279 >>>mercury arc valve, airplanes(you are wrong), windshield wipers(to go with the cars we invented), auto transmission, ac power plugs and sockets(again you are ignorant of the truth about the pioneers of electrification), outboard motor, typesetting, Audion tube, automobile self-starter(further contradicting your BS), road surface marking, autopilot, traffic light, Formica, single sideband modulation, supermarkets, light switch(your BS further disemboweled), superhet reciever,>>>
@mdr279 >>>crystal oscillator, hydraulic brake, silica gel, blowout preventer(something you bloke-lovers should get more familiar with b4 you drill in our gulf), bulldozer, radio altimeter, power steering, jukebox, iron lung, air traffic control, freon, tampon(something you should suck on), sunglasses, frozen food, cyclotron, bathysphere, electric guitar, radio telescope, FM, Richter scale, franchising, ph meter, parking meter, philips screws, EEG, programming languages,>>>
@smokethosetaliban You really aren't intelligent at all are you. You continue to list things despite having COMPLETELY misinterpreted the point of my argument! You're just as ignorant as the rest of them. We didn't drill in your Gulf, the British did- Australia is not Britain (little education for you). Besides, it's YOUR government's deregulation that allowed BP to drill there probably because a man named Cheney had a vested interest in the whole thing. Europe created civilisation...
@mdr279 --Hold on, boogie. I'm not done chronicling Americas achievements. When I am done, I will address your lies and BS--and your attempt to redefine what you said earlier. While I'm still compiling, maybe YOU can workup a list of Aussie inventions and achievements(other than crocodile wrangling) and we'll compare our lists...LOL
@smokethosetaliban Since when did this become an argument about our country's inventions well in the past? I've never argued that the USA hasn't invented many useful things, I'm arguing that the average American is an extremely ignorant individual with no knowledge of the world around them ( a point you just proved by referencing crocodile wrangling whatever the fuck that is). And btw, don't call me a liar when I haven't written one untruthful word, you pathetic excuse for a human being...
@smokethosetaliban continued.... and oh you wanted to hear some Australian achievements. Well during the Global Financial Crisis, which the USA caused, we were the only developed country in the world to NOT go into recession. Our unemployment rate didn't even reach 6% during the period, meanwhile in the "land of the free" it reached 10% and some believe 20% in certain areas. Oh and Melbourne has been recognised as the world's most liveable city in the last decade......
@mdr279 >>>polar fleece, fetal surgery, space shuttle(yeah, last 50yrs, we've been stagnant!?!?), graphic user interface, THE FUCKING INTERNET THAT YOUR USING TO INSULT US RIGHT NOW--we invented it also, Pneumovax, atomic force microscope, stereolithoghraphy, DMD, PERL, FDM, TCL, BEEM, Zip files, resin ID codes, optical space telescope(how's the Aussie space program these days), sulfer lamp, CMOS, DNA computing, quantum cascade laser(I know most of this is over your head), the mouse wheel, JAVA
@mdr279 >>>Adobe, HVLS fan, phase change incubator, segway, SERF, nanowire battery, bionic contact lens, mars rovers, intergallactic probes, representative government, the concept of individual liberty, oil drilling, mass production, google, facebook, youtube, myspace, wikipedia, ebay, Fed-ex, UPS, the atomic bomb which stopped the Japs who had their eyes on Australia before we defeated them--FYI, ---
@mdr279 >>>so Benz may have created a curiosity, but Olds and Ford brought cars to the people of the world because America invented the industrial revolution, boogie. So your big achievement in Australia is avoiding a recession?? WOW--good job!! Let's take away from you all of the inventions I listed and see if you even have an economy...then it wood be back to Crocs and boomerangs. Let me straighten you out. We have plenty of idiots here, but so do you--and you guys are certainly no better...
@smokethosetaliban This shows what an ignorant foolish little child you are. The industrial revolution started in BRITAIN. This is basic common knowledge but you are blinded by your excessive patriotism. Why wouldn't we have an economy if you took away all those inventions? If we didn't have the inventions then nobody else would either so we would all be on a level playing field. That is a ridiculous argument you have created. Henry Ford made the produced cars- he did not invent the car.
@mdr279 --"The industrial revolution started in BRITAIN"--Really? Who in Britain invented mass production? Mass production started the industrial revolution, so give me names, dates, and places of the Brits who first mass-produced. And even in a recession, America represents 25% of the world economy and leads the world in manufacturing. How many tens of millions of immigrants from all over the world are flooding your shores for opportunities?
@smokethosetaliban Do you know why you have a huge economy? Because you're a developed nation and you have a huge population- goes hand in hand buddy, but I don't see how that's an achievement... You're just fucking clueless aren't you. The industrial revolution began in Britain in the bloody 18th century for fucks sake and then spread to the rest of europe before the USA even knew what the fuck was going on. Do you even know what the industrial revolution was? honestly......
@mdr279 --"The industrial revolution began in Britain in the bloody 18th century for fucks sake and then spread to the rest of europe before the USA even knew what the fuck was going on"--That's what I thought--all bullshit and no facts. One more time, dumbfuck, names, dates, and places of the brits who invented mass production(because without mass production, there is no industrial revolution. CMON, boogie, you made the claim--now back it up with facts...I'm waiting....in vain...
@smokethosetaliban Ok I didn't want to do this but here it is. Quoted from wikipedia "The Industrial Revolution was a period from the 18th to the 19th century where major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, mining, transportation, and technology had a profound effect on the socioeconomic and cultural conditions of the times. It began in the United Kingdom, then subsequently spread throughout Europe, North America, and eventually the world." Cop it buddy

@smokethosetaliban Woooah go easy on wikipedia, after all it's american... don't you trust it??? Please don't argue that they're incorrect on one of the most noted periods in history. Don't know about mining tech in Britain, but Australian mining technology is the best in the world. Has to be when you're facilitating China's growth...
@mdr279 --You have what--maybe 2000 troops in Iraq? And you say that cost billions per yr? Right! "Australia was one of the biggest donators of funds to the Tsunami appeal in 2004"--Your contribution paled in comparison with the US aid. Yes, wikijunk is leftist America hating liberal bias. "but Australian mining technology is the best in the world"--Right on, blowhard--that's why the Chileans turned to us to invent and build the escape system--got it...
@smokethosetaliban hahaha omg you've played this right into my hands. A West Australian drilling consultant was called over to Chile lead the drilling rescue.
@mdr279 -"hahaha omg you've played this right into my hands. A West Australian drilling consultant was called over to Chile lead the drilling rescue"--LET'S ANALYZE THIS LIE BY YOU!-from a PBS report quoting an AP story-'"Codelco, the state-owned copper company that led the rescue effort...Some of the help was donated, such as technical assistance from other mining companies and a four-person NASA team"--From USA TODAY-"Schramm, the Penn.-based company whose drill rig bored the rescue hole"
MOP UP immediate afterwards was easy...and they get one step closer to their goal...total control of OIL!

smokethosetaliban 5 months ago
"we had huge budget surpluses"--yeah, you guys were carrying a natl debt long before the GFC--some surplus in this or that yr doesn't erase your debt...and now you face a housing bubble like we had. In fact, the ratio of housing prices to income in Australia is the worst in the civilized world--almost 8 to 1...and you have a growing debt problem--some in your country call it the AUS debt bomb--soon to top 1 trillion and beyond. We had a great economy too--before the bubble burst--keep bragging
smokethosetaliban 5 months ago
@smokethosetaliban No that's where you're wrong. From 2003-2007 under the Howard Government (He came into office in 1996), not only did we have huge budget surpluses but we actually had zero debt. The Australian government had a lot of money in the bank during that period. Look it up man. We've had budget surpluses since 1996 (minus the past 2/3 years)
mdr279 5 months ago
@mdr279 I've looked at your debt tables before and I just did again--you've always had debt, but often at admirably low levels. But that speaks to an even more serious problem if in such a short time you are approaching 1 trillion before your housing bubble. You are very dependent on foriegn oil which is more risky than ever. Not trying to berate you--we have much worse problems here. Just saying...
smokethosetaliban 5 months ago
@smokethosetaliban I'm 100% positive that during period I mentioned, the Australian government had zero debt levels. Type in Australian government net debt into google and have a look at the 2004 to 2007 period. Our current government and treasurer are absolute dickheads. However, Howard and Costello lead the country brilliantly from 1996 to 2007. The current government is fucking wasteful and are on the verge of getting thrown out.
mdr279 5 months ago
@smokethosetaliban Yeh you're right, house prices are fucking astronomical here. However, the Howard government which had Peter Costello as Treasurer brought into law banking regulations that means banks have to be vigilant in analysing people's credit risk so that you don't have a whole bunch of people defaulting. Yes, house prices have started to slow a bit recently but nothing drastic is going to happen because of this. Here, $2 to $3 million houses are as common as anything... high demand

Hey for anyone out there who is struggling as a Truther because of all the name-calling and demands for proof by skeptics, there's something you must realize. Some Britons claim that BP is actually controlled by Americans. Well then why do AP, Reuters, and AFP call BP the British oil giant?
ttiiyy 8 months ago
@ttiiyy i wonder what sort of share the queen has in this.
poiuytrewq8ff 7 months ago
@ttiiyy
BP is 50% British owned and 49% American owned, so there's clearly a big difference. The oil spill happened in America, on a rig that was built by Americans and the building of which was sanctioned by the US government. Safety checks were carried out by Americans and the rig was under the control of American workers. Add to that the fact that BP is no longer even known as British Petroleum, but solely as BP, was a decision made by the company to reflect their multinational status.
bluemoonrising26 6 months ago
@bluemoonrising26 you forgot to say who BP biggest share holder is. JP Morgan chase. Wall street bank. 28.34%. funny how these people wasn't mentioned in the American Press. lets just stand on and burn a British Flag for what is clearly an american error. patriotism works in a fucked up way.

So you Britons can keep all the profits, and Americans will need to act like a bunch of morons and demonized by the rest of the world forever as evil vultures yearning for oil?
ttiiyy 9 months ago
@ttiiyy It's always a touchy subject when people attack others. It's also a touchy subject that Americans use 4X the amount of fossil fuel as any other nation... We just need to watch what we do, ourselves. For example, I live downtown so I use an electric bike in 3 seasons, public transit in the winter and grow my own fruits and vegetables on my balcony.
donsjuand 9 months ago
@donsjuand Americans use 4X the amount of fossil fuel as any other nation?? Really? Any other nation? Can you even provide any data to back up that statement? You know what the irony here, in the eyes of Muslims, NO western country is innocent.
I am looking forward to any data that you can provide. I am so sick and tired of people like you that make irresponsible statements without referencing any research at all.
Indians probably think Canada is part of the problems as well ;)
ttiiyy 9 months ago
@ttiiyy Yeah Canada needs to reduce intake. Let me clarify this is not a finger pointing thing - my interest is of truth. My research is the 2010 United Nations Environmental Development Report available from their website, which I discovered during my Environmental Studies coursework. A lot of meaningful stuff there. I wish Youtube allowed links. I don't drive, I take public transit and walk. Buy energy efficient things only when I NEED something and grow fruits and vegs on the balcony.
donsjuand 9 months ago
@donsjuand Just to clarify, the research I have is per capita carbon emission. With China producing more products to export globally (the US is the greatest consumer) China as a whole is emitting the second highest amount of co2, behind the US. In China, most is due to coal fired production plants. In the US, most is due to vehicles, then coal. The significance is that once we know where the carbon is coming from, we can avoid supporting it. For example, which companies are green powered?

The real reason is people not anticipating and evaluating potential effects of their own decisions. For ex if I say sure, go ahead and regulate yourself (I trust you without any reason for doing so). Where is the evidence to show you WON'T pollute? How can all parties prove their actions will not cause negative consequence? This should be in writing BEFORE allowances for any drilling. How can ships be prevented from spilling tailings to begin with?

If the British had a PM with balls, he should have pulled out of the US wars, stop being a larger lender to the US, closed US bases and and basically said welcome China.

Comprende? You dozy yank bastard, jump off BP's dick, check Mist Mountain, or the BILLION pound deal with Rosneft (East-Prinovozemelsky field), Canadian Oil Sands, or BP's Liberty Well.
And you yanks are WORSE check LAKEVIEW GUSHER

98DevilDog79 10 months ago

It's about time Americans looked far enough out of their own assholes to understand they are not the only country on earth
mdr279 6 months ago
@mdr279 --It is amusing that you insult the intelligence of the average American though your own writing skills are crude and sophomoric. You should toss out your computer because Americans created the computer age. Turn off your electricity because we pioneered the electrification of the world. Don't drive a car because we did that too. Don't fly in a plane...you know why. Need a heart transplant??? And BTW, dickbag, Americans had no trouble finding Europe on a map in 1941--get my point???
smokethosetaliban 6 months ago

Besides, it's YOUR government's deregulation that allowed BP to drill there probably because a man named Cheney had a vested interest in the whole thing. Europe created civilisation...

@mdr279 >>>so Benz may have created a curiosity, but Olds and Ford brought cars to the people of the world because America invented the industrial revolution, boogie. So your big achievement in Australia is avoiding a recession?? WOW--good job!! We have plenty of idiots here, but so do you--and you guys are certainly no better...
smokethosetaliban 6 months ago
@smokethosetaliban This shows what an ignorant foolish little child you are. The industrial revolution started in BRITAIN. This is basic common knowledge but you are blinded by your excessive patriotism. Why wouldn't we have an economy if you took away all those inventions? If we didn't have the inventions then nobody else would either so we would all be on a level playing field. That is a ridiculous argument you have created. Henry Ford made the produced cars- he did not invent the car.
mdr279 6 months ago

The industrial revolution began in Britain in the bloody 18th century for fucks sake and then spread to the rest of europe before the USA even knew what the fuck was going on. It began in the United Kingdom, then subsequently spread throughout Europe, North America, and eventually the world." Cop it buddy
