  • Have listened to this instrumental many, many times. This morning what dawned on me is this song is a type of Hip-Hop symphony. Sort of had a different feel this time. Listen with the thought in mind. Peace.

  • Best of GTA Vice City

  • this is the perfect beat no better yet its divine no beat can be better than this one

  • Anyone who was around at this time this monster came out will remember that like in the 50's with the doo wop groups on the corners, well in the early 80's there were so many of us with pledge and laminate squares to back spin on, and poppin was huge. This song broke the barrier and raised the bar for the next break tune to beat it

  • i wish i was alive in the 80's hella bad

i breakdance on street corners, and people just sit and watch.

no fun, to much violence, and not enough difference

  • Thanks for posting this rare gem ! I never heard it again from back in the day until now !!

    This is wild !!

  • some good O twisted shit baby. you'll just have ta understand.

  • I agree, but I feel like it officaly died when Scatman John passed away in 1999.

  • naw hiphop died late 80s early 90s, when gang violence collided with hip hop

  • POST NAIROBE PLEASE .

  • VOTE FOR LUIS !!!

  • ann arbor mi 1983 the good old days river rats holla

  • i wish i was alive for this. age = 16 :(

I hope they have finally found!

  • This the beat that DJ Khaled use for his song "Holla at me"

  • Too bad that nigga's trash.

  • dj khaled is a bitch

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hapend to the real versions?

  • there is a new up of the vocal version since 2 Months

  • looking for the perfect beat

    searching for the perfect beat

never heard the b-side, thanx :)

i hear you have deep crates, if so, i'd love to hear: johnny the fox (inst) - tricky tee, girls (inst) - the b boys, a nice quality dub (like this) of "got to keep on" by cookie crew & nena cherry's version of iko iko again.

    those are some rare classics

thanx for sharing this. i'll be posting some rarities of my own too eventually. eg. 2,3 break & woppit

  • I'm loving this, first time I really listened to this was in 1986, East Oakland, skipping school, and the nostagic emotions that this video produces in me are priceless. Protect all that vinyl and please keep producing more of these videos. You are actually providing a service for us geriatric breakers.

    H-Allah.

  • Much better than the vocal version. Gives me the chills

  • instrumentals are ALWAYS better than raps! rap is one of the things that ruined hip-hop.

the one element that takes the very least talent is what took over EVERYTHING!

don't get me started on gangstas saying they're hip-hop. can i get a witness b-boyz? LOL

    or, are we now b-grandpas?

  • I'm totally a 100% with you on that one

  • hahah for the most part.. yes! you are right the mainstream is mostly crap man.. hahahahah..

  • I agree totally...People are callin LIL WAYNE the number one hip hop artist...I'd have to say the best is Lupe Fiasco,of the known hip hop artists...Try lookin up swollen members and see if you like em.

  • swollen members are horrrrrible!

i dont know if thats wat u wer trying to say

but they r legitimate garbage, nothing like the old stuff.

  • Yeah?? Well,it's better than most stuff that gets radio play nowadays..I agree, the old school stuff is the shiznitt!Especialy the Egyptian lover..Well,in my opinion that is.

  • as far as i'm concerned, the #1 hip-hop artist for ALL TIME is and will always be george clinton as no one will ever come close to putting a scratch on the atomic dog!

    not even close

  • @CHRISLARA1985 i think lil wayne is good in rapping but this is the best SONG

  • @CHRISLARA1985 Look up Nasir Jones(NaS)

  • I remembered Soul Sonic Force growing up, but a couple of years back when the Kings of Comedy came out, Cedric used a sample of this song in his pop lock bit. When I heard it , I had to find it. It's still on my old skool favorites on my IPOD.

  • holy crap, thats alot of records!

  • Ben, thanks to you the collection grew! Remember, my library is always open to donations :) Peace!!

  • Mix Master I C E!!!! We used to work together @ a local radio station. I see him all the time around town. If your ever interested in getting the UTFO singed I would have no problem making that happen. Great Vid ISFAN!

  • Dude! If you're serious, it would be incredible to have him sign it!

  • Let's Make It Happen. I Will Message You My Address. Just Send It With Return Shipping, And I Will Get It Done. I Will Take Pics So You Know It's Official. Get @ Me.

  • Thanks for posting this for me Julian. Man I would love to get my hands on your record collection!!!

Listening to this has bought back a really good memory. I took part in an interschool breakin' competition back in 1985 and the routine I did to this track earned me second place. The winner pipped me by being able to do no handed windmills, where as I could only do them using my hands!!

  • very welcome! I do love my records. Everyone should have a hobby/passion that they can find enjoyment in. Cool to hear about the breakdance years. man I'm always checking out videos with wicked pop locking and stuff. It's so awesome to watch, since I never could actually do it myself. Later!

  • Good stuff as always
