@MrAjack1984 This is not Aikido.Your statements just reflects your lack of knowledge I have studied Takeda-Ryu it is extremely "effective". It's lineage is Taijutsu wich became Aiki no jujutsu when the Daito family of Samuri passed it down. "General" Takeda taught it to his troops for battle.You don't see any knives or swords in the octogan.MMA fighters are great athletes and very entertaining. Moreiha Ushiba developed Aikido so many could learn with no one dieing.Train or watch MMA!Up to you.
@shureikanshihan yes, you are right. but it is also true that aikido is a descendant of aikijutsu. In his young days Moreiha Ushiba o-sensei was a ferocious aikijutsu man but as he found religion and grew older his aikijutsu became aikido and stressed less combativeness and focused on character development and Ki not unlike many styles of chinese neijia (internal martial arts). For a Aikido man to truly understand Aikido they must eventuraly turn to aikijutsu to go full circle.

Aikijutsu is a very effective art, if it was not not it would not be used by law enforcement and security professionals such as the US Secret Service. My former supervisor is a part time trainer at the UFC and has gotten the better of trainees many times mainly because of the footwork. They cant handle the circular footwork or the power of Ki.

@Djinnmeister i agree and in aikijutsu and in aikido we have the three man attack. MMA guys only fight one guy every couple of months.

ok rx2j here are some advices
to train sitting zazen put a jo behind your knees start to sit for 5 minutes
do more domestic task like cleaning ,then
why buying expensive oil for katana
oil for sewing mashine is ok too
wring out the wet towel
why buying a expensive jo a broom stick is good enough
wearing hakama
Morihei Uesheba says those who are very serious and CAN AFFORD IT are allowed to wear one
