  • who is bjork ??

  • Loved this immediately. Fucking amazing.

  • I love the highs and lows placed in this song. Gets my blood running. Just Youped this song

  • the second half is pure joy ;;;;;. but for me the first half is just too much like every other 2000s chick singer who sing without moving their lips and toungue,,,,,,,,,,try it ,,,, bjoirk perfected the style and they all followed. owwwwww.....aaaaaahhhh ...AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........

  • @tblaxxable Why do you type so psychotically?

  • @tblaxxable actually you are right !!! you re cool :D

  • @tblaxxable What are you talking about? There's nothing bjork about this song or her vocals lol.

  • Only just found her music Love it :)

  • those eighteen dislikes can bite me what the fuck is wrong with them

  • keep listening to regina spektor ... she s much better than laura ! Dont disunderstand, I like her but Reggie is my absolutely fav ♥

  • @Mariekathrinstelter They are very different artists. It's like saying science fiction is better than the high fantasy genre. Both are fantastic at what they do.

  • @Mariekathrinstelter i like both too, but prefer laura!

  • MARRY ME LAURA!!!!

  • At last Laura Marling comes to Holland!

That news really made my day! (:

  • so lovely..oh laura

  • sorry about the spelling bit drunk

  • eighteen dislikes whats wrong with tthose people sheer class

  • Love the cello in this -3

  • My last hour: Must hear it once more. And then once more. And after that I'll hear it once more, and once more, and once more...

  • She goes more places in this one track than most performers do in their entire musical careers.

  • Guys and girls, maybe it's not working in your country but you can watch a good concert live ( Laura Marling is playing in one hour) on the Internet, write on Google " festival les inrocks direct"

  • oh yeah!

  • Splendid! Bought the CD today and I'm worried that the CD may be nackered already :)

  • Just caught her live set on Radio 2 from Maida Vale tonight, well worth a listen.

  • Thank you, /mu/.

  • @anguspage45 thats how i got here too

  • i'm so in love with this song

  • the intro is a great rip-off of chiqiquita by abba!

  • @wilfbiffherb the first what, 5 notes have a similar tone because they are in the same key. The melody is completely different, as is the tone of the entire song. They really aren't similar at all.

  • @wilfbiffherb .....

  • @wilfbiffherb hmm no it isn't (I mean I play guitar, I understand that the two very first notes sound similiar, but that's totally different)

  • what an eloquent way to say f*** off!

  • i cannot wait to buy a copy of the album. this song sends shivers down my spine.

  • Omg yes hillbilly rock hillbilly roll...that's what part of this song reminds me of!

  • Does the name Sophia have anything to do with the Gnostic personification of wisdom??? If so, I'd like her more.

  • Her voice at the beginning of this tune sounds different!!!!!!!!!!. I cant describe it but it then goes back to her! absolutely loverly `performance Laura!

  • Sold. I'll be buying this album.

  • nearly cried when she sold out by me, ive been waiting so long for her to tour :(

  • Great look into what should be an amazing album /

  • Who the fuck disliked this? No taste whatsoever!

  • The way she sings has gradually changed sine songs like Ghost and New Romantic, i like it :)

  • Couldn't love this more, if the rest of the album show's this I will be very happy. each album seems to be really different and this seems to be a slightly more mature sound. The joni mitchell ref is spot on!!

  • Beautiful song with so much going on in it.

I love the building in pace to a racey crecendo.

  • feeling joni mitchell in the second half of this!

  • @erinl400 such a good call! such a joni mitchell feel

  • Brilliant track, best song ive heard for a long time, absolutely wonderful

  • what if i'm not in North America? O.O

  • Fantastic until 3 minutes in - do we really need the band to turn it into the Cranberries?

  • @leehazlewoodism yeah, kinda weird. but I for one respect her and the style she wants to play. If you don't like it just don't listen to it...

  • @TheBROSEPHFRITZL

Everyone needs to change for progress. Let's hope the change is to the better, if that's possible.

  • wow... wow.

  • I haven't paid any attention to her until... this song! just sublime.

  • I'm obsessed with this song right now

  • Sublime.

  • omg, drums! in lauras songs! unbelievable!:D

  • from the first note to the first word this just absolutely kills me - Laura Marling does it again - such maturity - brilliant brilliant

  • Who could dislike this? I don't understand... It would be similar to disliking the actual sensation of pleasure. No! Stop Laura! Don't make me feel good!

  • I half-heard this on the radio and I thought it was Joni Mitchell. Incredible voice!

  • I bet it's really hard for her to just talk in a regular voice.

  • This song isn't long enough.

  • How can some one so young be so wonderfuly talented? top marks Laura x

  • The only certainty in life is change

  • I hope the end part isn't hinting at country in the future >_<

  • @Meko202 are you serious?! she plays kind of folk music, that is like country... it is good!

  • luv her :)

  • she reminds me very much of joni mitchell here.

i love her, everything about her.

  • How can I feel sad, contemplative, happy, nostalgic and feel like tapping my feet all within five minutes??

  • @Jakcha @Vixen416 She's playing the 6th & I Historic Synagogue. Tuesday, the 27th of September.

  • If this Laura Marling's new song is this brilliant, I can't wait to hear the new by Mumford & Sons!!!

  • got my ticket for Laura in Sheffield Cathedral yesterday. BOO YOW!

  • Please come play in the DC area!

  • @Vixen416 i'm in DC, too. two people agree, so it must happen.

  • @Vixen416 and if you do,how about a nice live streaming concert on NPR?downloadable would be nice.

  • Tickets for the tour just dropped through my letterbox, my postman is now known as Santa Claus.

  • @SinisterDevilCheese nao THAT'S a hell of a postman!

  • @SinisterDevilCheese She is fantastic live! Saw her last night and oh my god. I love her music, shame we found out that she is quite ignorant to her fans >/

  • @HeatherHORRORz what do you mean by ignorant? does she tune em out perform just for the sake of showing her beautiful soulfilled music? .... if so, i like it. a bit of a shame though i guess because I would I guess want to have a small convo with her. : ) g'day.

  • @hulagirl93 People waited outside for her after the show, and she looked and walked past and got in the bus, then an hour later one of the band members said she wasnt coming out. Talk about caring/keeping your fans.

  • @HeatherHORRORz NO really? laura. slightly respect her more for that somehow. maybe she had the chicken pocks and did not want to contaminate the rest of y'all with the same or worse. it's a possibilty. I'm just grateful to hear her music, its incredible... to go to her concert would be mindblowing. To meet and talk to her... well i might just implode of shock. which is why she doesn't want to meet her adoring fans. now i sound crazy sorry this is my method of study break from finals gday :)

  • @HeatherHORRORz I agree. She does seem kind of caught up in herself. She's not self-centered, but she's kind of in her own little world. I wish she would pay more attention to her fans. It would a give her a spark that I would love to see more of.

  • @SinisterDevilCheese i *thumbs down* -ed it due to jealousy :'(

  • Fuck Laura Marling and her goddamn consumerist opinions stating the appreciation of music is measured by the price you pay for it.

  • @lilswaggy93 where did she say that? I do know that she thinks that paying for music is a nice thing because musicians need to eat and live somewhere...but I doubt that she said you should pay loads of money to show how much you love her music. so just because an artist thinks we shouldn't download music without paying, also, without really listening to it, but should respect those musicians we appreciate, she is a consumerist? You know, socialism doesn't work that way...

  • @lilswaggy93 hmmm what?!

  • Laura Marling just gets better and better. I love her.

  • Lovely, well done Laura.

Watch this Joni Mitchell vid (Coyote from the Last Waltz) if you like Laura. No comparisons being drawn just a great song for your ears :)

    Peace.

  • Wow. Laura, you grow wiser and more accomplished with each song. Yet the simplicity astounds me. Thank you!

  • How can you not like this song? Laura, you're an inspiration to everyone, be it woman or man, adult or child. I love you -3

  • The songs she wrote as a 15 year old make me wonder what exactly it is that's keeping me from even attempting to do something as great at my age of 15. She should be an icon to teenagers! :) So here I go, ready to try to do something great and kind. :)

  • @safarichick101 Do it!

  • Wow a triumph x It grows on you so much x sounds Joni and Jane Sibbery in places ..great stuff

  • this shows all the influences that Joni Mitchell had on the young Laura :)

  • Laura once preformed on the streets after being denied entry at her own gig for being underaged. Well this is for the people who didn't let her in.

LOOK WHO'S LAUGHING NOW, BITCH! xxxx

  • @IzzBizz96 Eh, I'm assuming he did. I know that British tabloids are probably the least reputable source on Earth, but that's what I've heard. From the way he behaved after a show in the states in October it seems like that could definitely be the case.

  • better on a second listen and turn it up loud for the hill billy country section dont be shy!

  • @goooooooods which is exactly the hillbilly section?

  • can't understand why there's any dislikes of this

  • na na na la la la na na na (next)

  • on a mission to make all my friends listen to laura marling :)

  • at about 2:15 onwards she sounds like Joni Mitchell in the higher notes... that's an amazing feat!

I love Laura, and always will if he she keeps going like this!

  • What a talent, I love her music :)

  • I didn't like the first half at first. now I do lol

  • A Great Folk Singer, With a Brilliant vocal, & a Fantastic Talent. Also a Local Lass 10/10

  • I have a really weird theory about this song being both lyrically and musically indicative about getting over a relationship with Marcus Mumford.

"I'm a good woman and I never did say whatever it was that you did that day."

  • @JadeGraddy Do you know the story of her and marcus mumford? I dont understand what happend, did he cheat on her?

  • @JadeGraddy Lol what did HE DO THAT DAY WE ARE ALL DIEING TO KNOW!!!!!

  • @rohansixtythree ahhh thank you!! her work is beautiful!

  • 2:57 :)

  • ''i never did say whatever it was that you did that day''
