this may be a dumb question but i wonder if its easy to extended when inflating the balloon they how does it stay extended? does it have a lock mechanism? i say this bc just like it can get extended the pressure of the fatening or other reason may cause it to collapse.

I had this treatment last Friday and it was no problem at all. The surgery lasted around one hour and I was awake and could follow the procedure on a monitor all the time! Relly interesting.

it is a risky procedure. what if you injure the blood vesseles while performing angioplasty?

Yes, of course. It is very risky procedure (about percent 0.1). If blood vessels injure while performing this manuplation, patient go urgently open cardiac surgery.

it is not as risky as it sounds, injury to blood vessel is very minimal, the one risk involved is, they insert a dye to find where the block is, and the person could be allergic to the dye, or he might have a heart attack while on the procedure. But it is very rare, its not that complicated. This whole procedure could last 1 hour or it depends on if they find the block and they put a stent in.

with an angio test..they send a special chemical to ur hearts arters and watch it on screen where is the narrow point
