Aw man, that was SO SAD. That really was a beautiful tribute to Jim Henson. While it's probably polite to applaud all the attempts to carry on the Muppet legacy after his death(and I loved Farscape), the truth is that it's just not the same without Jim pulling the strings.
the first time I hear this song I literally lost it. Tears streaming down my face. I was not quite 8 when Jim died, and I think like everyone in our society, it affected me greatly. Tom Smith is such a rockin' human being!
i remember the first time i heard this song, I was crying my eyes out because of how much I missed Jim and what he did for my childhood. Every time I hear it, tears still come to my eyes.
He seems to be rushing it a bit here, or is it just me?

I agree, it is IMPOSSIBLE *not* to bawl listening to this song. Already gone thru several tissues.

@Kirylyn
Sorry, I didn't cry :( Not one bit, my ears weren't even wet and my throat wasn't clamped. I want to though, but I can't. Shame...
I guess mum storming on the room at the wrong moment didn't help either

If there's anybody who remembers Kermit and doesn't tear up on hearing this song, I don't want to meet that person.

I met one. I wanted to strangle them for it, and then thought "What would Henson do?" And didn't.

I think he would have Kermit strangle him then have Ms. Piggy round house kick him.....I wonder if Chuck Norris taught her that??

Come on. Henson wasn't THAT violent.

I was in the room just a bit to the left of the person filming. I'm surprised you can't hear me sniffling. Beautiful job, Tom.

No matter how many times I see it live, I can't believe how quiet the room always gets when he plays this.
