  • He seems to be rushing it a bit here, or is it just me?

  • 4 people have no soul

  • thank you for this song,Tom.

  • 4 people have no heart.

  • I bawwwwwed.

  • 3 people have no soul...

  • Single tear and clamped up throat.

  • Aw man, that was SO SAD. That really was a beautiful tribute to Jim Henson. While it's probably polite to applaud all the attempts to carry on the Muppet legacy after his death(and I loved Farscape), the truth is that it's just not the same without Jim pulling the strings.

  • Every once in a while, i say to myself, 'Hey, I want to be really sad.'

    And here I am.

  • How lucky were you to have seen him perform this!

  • 20 years ago today, Jim Henson passed away

  • tone deaf motherfuckers kill it at the end.

this song will always have me.

  • There sure are a lot of people having to shush other people in the audience.

  • I agree, it is IMPOSSIBLE *not* to bawl listening to this song. Already gone thru several tissues.

and I missed taping one of Jim's last appearances when he came on after Patrick Stewart

need to go clean my contacts now

  • @Kirylyn

Sorry, I didn't cry :( Not one bit, my ears weren't even wet and my throat wasn't clamped. I want to though, but I can't. Shame...

I guess mum storming on the room at the wrong moment didn't help either

  • the first time i heard this song, it ended with me almost with my head in my lap sobbing.

    and the second time...

    and the third time...

i honestly can't listen to this without crying. it is such a beautiful idea.

  • How does this only have ~4,800 views in over a year?

  • thank you so much for sharing this! i think it's great to see the artist perform his work in person... so much more powerful

  • This is the only song ever made, that I can't listen to without crying.

  • Gets me every single darn time I listen to it.

  • amazing, so beautiful.

  • love this song.

  • Tom is SUCH a talent!

  • the first time I hear this song I literally lost it. Tears streaming down my face. I was not quite 8 when Jim died, and I think like everyone in our society, it affected me greatly. Tom Smith is such a rockin' human being!

  • OMG this is sooooo sad! I love you Kermit! <333

  • yeah this is a great song

  • i remember the first time i heard this song, I was crying my eyes out because of how much I missed Jim and what he did for my childhood. Every time I hear it, tears still come to my eyes.

  • Saddest song ever. I love it. Thanks for posting.

  • I'm so sad I missed this, what day was it?

  • I cried.

  • If there's anybody who remembers Kermit and doesn't tear up on hearing this song, I don't want to meet that person.

  • I met one. I wanted to strangle them for it, and then thought "What would Henson do?" And didn't.

  • Come on. Henson wasn't THAT violent.

  • I was in the room just a bit to the left of the person filming. I'm surprised you can't hear me sniffling. Beautiful job, Tom.

  • No matter how many times I see it live, I can't believe how quiet the room always gets when he plays this.
