  • ''Peter is not the reason you failed. You wanna pass a test study. you wanna be popular? Be popular. Take controll of your destiny boy''

Norman Osborn may be an evil bastard but he sure talks sense

  • Is that the joker? From The Batman? That is awesome!

  • Lol does shockers costume have eyebrows

  • @felipeawesomeness erm no...he is wearing goggles its his actual eyebrows.

  • he learned responsibility from that hired mercenary; cooky

  • Evilcleric no no the lizard has shown up u probably just didnt c it

  • The Vulture, The Lizard, and even the Shocker? Unless webslingspiderswing has missed a video, the Lizard has yet to even mutate let alone make himself known.

  • @EvilCleric errr no actually the lizard comes in episode 2, when connors mutates to the lizard with that dna formula and spiderman beats him, so webslingspiderswing is keeping track and hasnt missed any episodes

  • Love how they got a voice actor who does a dang near perfect impersonation of William DaFoe. He was pretty fantastic as Norman Osborne/The Green Goblin in the the first Spider-Man film, so it's no surprise Greg Weisman (creative-director/show producer) wanted to emulate that performance for the Spectacular Spider-Man. The voice just fits the nature of Osborne, whether in the animated series or the comics.

  • nice to see that peter takes advice from his enemies too.

  • the guy on the phone's voice sounds super familiar!

  • that building is the Apllo lol

  • Is that eardeafening silence a yes? so using that

  • I thought peter already had a new camera when he saw Betty on the street

  • @lowendjoe Refundable

  • @lowendjoe He did, but it still wasnt good enough.

  • Spiderman brings the house down, our Theathre. Whatever works!

  • heÿ_ânÿÔñÊ_wÁnnä_chát_wÎth_mè_I_fËÈl_sô_lOÑElY_tÒÐÀý≡

  • even though harry's dad is mean to him, his advice is on point

  • eventhough harry's dad is mean to him, his advice is on point

  • Is it just me or are Shocker's oneliners even better than Spiderman's? lol

  • did he just say div'art around 1:37?

  • @ibrowmew wouldnt know man

  • 5:20 LOL XD Awesome

  • @LostWorldRaptor thts interesting he is 1 of my fav villains in spideys gallery

  • This show didn't deserve to be cancelled. It was doing fine then... BANG!! CANCELLED!!

  • ...I think I have a crush on Shocker.....

  • Hooray! A happy ending for Spidey!

  • 0:40. What went wrong there?

  • @bluerabbit44

Yeah, well due to licensing issues with characters, they couldn't use Kingpin, so they combined Big Man and Tombstone for this show.

  • i like how Shocker went from being a italin thug in the old ones to a redneck cowboy

  • did peter just take advise from shocker?? whaaaat???

  • @missoriginunknown

Shocker's really one of the most stable and likable villains in this series. I would probably take advice from him.

  • I would like a wisecrack nerd Spider-Man in a movie rather than a full blown nerd w/ problems. I think it adds a new dimension to his personality.

  • @nongo agreed, spider-man's wisecrack rate was way too low in the films, about once per movie. And his excuse for a wisecrack in 2 was "here's your change!'" ugh.

  • @nongo movie Spider Man is like Bella Swan. He's just supposed to be an empty shell, someone every teenager can project themselves into. They killed everyone's personality and counted on the "coolness" of the superpowers and MJ's hair. Fun but not nearly as AWESOME as the comic books.

  • @msentose Spiderman is NOTHING like Bella Swan.

  • you notice how spider-man's, spider sense never really works, he is constantly being hit form behind or surprised.

  • @Blacky98981 thats because the spider sense only tells him there is danger, it dosent say what or where its coming from

  • @foreverknight13 That's kind of lame.

  • 0:16 spider sense fail WTF??he should've been warned

  • This series has the hottest aunt May.

  • Why did Disney hace to cancel such a good show? Who agree's with me?

  • @TheVinman210 Well i do!!!!!!!!!

But if they gonna make ultimate spider man is not that bad

  • @TheVinman210 did Disney do it? Cuz even though they own Marvel they still let Marvel call all the shots, and stuff...so don't blame Disney for ugh!!! Super Hero Squad

  • @TheSaxantonio It was because of a rights dispute between disney, fox and sony over who owns the rights to spiderman, fantastic 4, and other marvel icons.

  • @Stormhound930 He apoligized because he's NOT norman ..hes Chamelon!!!

  • 3:40 Norman apologises!!

  • I love the endings of these episodes!

  • here shooky,shooky,shooky =))))))

  • this is awesome then batman

  • I think Kingpin is the boss

  • @ImperialHyper if the boss aint kingpin i will eay my keyboard

  • @Templarofsteel18 You might wanna get some harcore eating utensils ready D=

  • The Big Man is refrence to the bigcheese in charge which is Tombstone. In the 616 Universe, Ultimate Universe It's Kingpin (Wilson Fisk) who control's most of the crime on the East Coast. It's a excellent change to have a big guy Tombstone that is often a bruiser as the bigcheese.

Electro is more powerful than Shocker. Shocker is dependent on equipment while Electro is super human so Electro could easily project a electricity bolt destroy Shocker's equipment.

  • is that luke cage near the beginning?

  • i thikn i should have spelled it thug

  • shocker is similar to batman beyond's enemy shriek... although shriek is an acoustic engineer, not a though... as in shriek's smart, shocker not so much...

  • elvetianul09 he did not die

  • I've finally recognised Shocker's voice! It's Kyle Katarn's voice actor!

  • @EndOfTheWorldHunger Kyle Katran? whose that?

    yeah thats Jeff Glenn Bennet!

  • @EndOfTheWorldHunger

    it is!? sweet!!!

  • We all love Venom... but I'm guessing Shocker would own Venom's ass badly.. uhm?, sound waves and simbiots? :)

  • Sadly, the show's creators mentioned that the Shocker's blasts aren't effective against Venom. I forget their justification.

  • shock waves that;s why he's called Shocker :P

  • HAHAHAHAHA

i thought Aunt May was crying too!

    but she was.....sniffing.....peter..... yeah, um?

  • lmfaoo i thoughtn aunt may was crying lol but she was actually sniffing him lolz

  • "enough ur park in a No whining zone"

  • Green Goblin is coming soon, I can feel it. I really hope Peter makes up with Gwen soon. Just show her your spiderman. She'll forgive you.

  • ''I'm also a puller, a tugger, a yanker...''

    Good to know, Spider-man.

  • @Jokerhamil hahahahahahahaha, that comment makes me embarassed to watch this show

  • @Jokerhamil Way too much information, Spidey lol.

  • The big man as they put it is The King Pin.

  • lol shockers too funny

  • Is Shocker the only one with normal eyes on this show everyone elses iris's are to big

  • "And that's what they call, bringing down the house!" Love that line.

  • lol " Here, shocky, shocky, shocky!" funny haha

  • I thought Norman never apoligized. how come he just did?

  • good point

  • Guess the writer didn't notice it though it is an important characteristic of Norman in the show.

  • @Stormhound930 i gues that was chameloen

  • @Stormhound930

Because That's not Osbourne. You learn in the last episode of season two that it was The Chameleon disguised as him trying to take secret information from Oscorp.

  • @nenastinks nice spoilers B( lol

  • @Stormhound930 spoiler: thats not norman osborn thats camilain

  • @Stormhound930 Good point that. I think they forgot or perhaps it didn't count as he was apologising for his son and not for himself.

  • @98slbrookes98 or its not norman!

  • @98slbrookes98 actually cause hes NOT osborn!

  • @aidanplastation3 I thought the Chameleon only started impersonating him from the haloween episode onwards?

  • @Stormhound930 probably cameleon

  • @Stormhound930 Simple-- the writers forgot that little detail.

  • spiderman always find a way to defeat his enemies, like finding their weakspot when he fought electro

  • What Norman Osbourne told Harry is some REAL TALK.

  • "if you want to be popular, BE popular."

DARN it, why didn't anyone give me THAT advice in high school!

  • hmm i never knew he could throw up a shield ... sort of cool

  • Shocker uses shockwaves...Electro uses electricity. Are earthquakes and lightning storms alike?

And please, enlighten me...how can a guy rip-off his own idea? Shocker and Electro were both created by the same guy for the same series.

  • Because Shocker fights with sound (I guess shockwaves can count as sound, since sound vibrates) and Electro purely generates pure electricity. Its Sound and Light, respectively.

  • @Shiantor lmaoo thats telln him!!

  • I'm jealous of Norman. Every time he's on scene, they play that cool, jazz music in the background. I wish I was that special!

  • "Your a professional, with that accent I would have thought rodeo clown"

    lol

  • hey.....Mr. oscorp just apologize.....

  • what exactly are Shocker's powers?

  • huh? lol obviously....shock wave....

  • Its shock waves. Particularly air shock waves. Not very scientifically but its how it is explained in Marvel Universe.

  • Sound blasts.

  • Pulse waves and energy absorbing suit... it's all in the suit actually.

  • News flash for you city metros:

    Cowboys are awesome.

"If a man's a man he honors his responsibilities."

And you're going to try and tell me with a straight face you -don't- enjoy ridiculously bad puns?

  • As I said his character is ok, but I don't like the accent. Even Spidey makes fun of it, twice during this episode for example.

  • You don't like the accent? You're aware his name is montana, and in the comics his power is a lasso right?

  • lol a lasso as a power?

Stan really had humour for villains

  • In the comics, Shocker was a very plain and two-dimensional character, he never really interested me. In the Ultimate Universe, he was pretty much a very small step above your average thug, and Spidey took him down five times in various humiliating ways. He was a loser. By combining him with Montanna and giving him the accent, he becomes more distinguished and interesting, particularly as Montanna is a leader of professional criminals, not just a petty thug.

  • Yes, but again MY opinion

  • Did Shocker die when the theatre building fell on him at the end?

  • No, he comes back a few times later on in the series

  • @Shiantor

but they do more or less forget about him...

  • I completely Agree although he does have an awsome suit which give pretty cool powers

  • THIS SHOW ROCKS!

  • "My apologies for the interruption" @ 3:40

Norman's always saying he never apologizes which is a plot point later on...

    WHOOPS!

  • he was apologizing for his son, not himself.

  • O'hirn?? so He turned into rhino and marko to sandman right?

  • I thought he got a new camera, why did he have his crappy one back at the end then?

  • i thought that 2 but i guess he returned the camera and got the money back

  • @wombat909 He got a refund on the new camera and gave the money to Aunt May to help pay the bills. Aunt told him to put aside some money to afford a new camera.

  • Oh man, Peter's life sucks when he isn't Spiderman.

  • "A man has to honour his responsibilities and you're one of mine" - did Peter just quote Shocker?

  • Montana may be a killer, but he's pretty smart.

  • This show has some damn good lines! Funny shit :D

  • who is actually stronger? the shocker or electro. id rather have electricity than shockwaves. but i guess the suite of the shocker looks tougher and that counts for something. looking good is half winning the battle.

  • Spectacular Spider-Man Rocks!

  • 3:40 did Norman Osborn... apologise???

  • I know - that bit is misleading since he never apologises but I suppose he was apologising for his son, not himself.

  • The Shocker Rules! If only him and Electro could fight' that would be awsome...

  • Uh... you ARE aware Shocker doesn't generate electricity, he generates sonic vibrations, right?

(Never quite understood WHY he calls himself 'Shocker' when his powers work like that, but I suppose 'Sonic' was taken and 'Vibrator' has too many disturbing connotations...)

  • shockwaves

  • I always used to get Shocker and Electro confused

  • why

  • they have really similar names

  • in the comics..they fought briefly

  • He actually learns life lessons from his villains. That's what makes this show to rock this far.

  • This is a really good cartoon, it does a MUCH better job of capturing the feel of the comics than any of the movies or previous animated series.

  • Why does Spider-Man's "sense" only work selectively?

  • It doesn't. The SS works 24/7. It is what pushes him to the right direction while he is swinging. And what allows him to dodge hits. Hence why a great deal of his attack list is consisted of counters. It warns him for everything from slippery surfaces to bullets. It is a constant twitch at the back of his head and Pete is able to use it at will from time to time. Ex. he was once able to say how many fingers MJ was holding in front of him while his eyes were closed.

  • Then why does he sometimes get hit by things with no warning?

I know his SS is SUPPOSED to work as you say. But this show shows him getting hit when he would have plenty of time to jump out of the way.

And I know certain things are blocked, like Venom. I'm not talking about that. Look at this very video we're posting on, around 17-21 seconds in.

  • Well, the SS at first (meaning while he was a rookie) only showed him that there was danger. It didn't pinpoint the origin. It did not tell him where the danger comes from. And since sometimes he doesn't see the source, it becomes more difficult for him to dodge.

  • Did you watch the 17-21 second part I told you to? His SS didn't activate at all....

  • Yeah I did. The show (like any other show SM till now), shows the SS at certain points. That's why I told you it works 24/7. It BUZZED. We just did not see it. AND he did not see the source. And let's face it, in a TV show, if the hero does not get hit, you kinda stop caring. I hope that answers the q somehow.

  • just because he can sense it doesnt mean he can dodge it. Imagine if you perceived a punch heading at you in slow motion; just because you can see it coming a mile away doesnt mean your body can react fast enough to dodge it.(of course this depends if your perception is merely sped up or if time has slowed down)

  • I know that just because he can sense it doesn't mean he can dodge it. I said that already. That's why my complaint about his SS not going off at all (17-21 seconds in) is extra annoying.

The makers of the show should have shown his sense going off, was my point. They're making it look like his sense only works intermittently.

(And, FTR, I still love this show.)

  • ah i see what you mean. sorry for misunderstanding. i love this show as well.

  • "i was thinkin rodeo clown" lol

  • "the big man"

    ......... kingpin???

  • Not quite. Kingpin is not albino.

  • i wish he would be in this show. imo, the ratings would skyrocket

  • 3:39 and here i thought "Norman Osborn never apoigizes

  • "Peter dear, why do you smell like tomato juice"LOL funny

  • spiderman calls himself a "puller, a tugger, and a yanker." lol, homo...

  • oh jebus
