It's funny how they both use their lack of knowledge of American football as a handicap to not know what's going on, when Blood Bowl actually plays more like rugby and even soccer in some respects, than it does Am football (going for long, continuous halves - not play after play etc) =P The biggest thing that's wholly exclusive to Am football among the three is simply that the scores are called "Touchdowns". But the field is called the "pitch" too, so that kind of evens out!

The Blood Bowl table top game is excellent,even though it went out of production it is still played on a global scale to this day. The PC game is supposed to be not that bad.. if you enjoy turn based strategy games you'll love it.

It's a tactical game, all about your decisions in the game, and the positioning of your players, not some real time sport game where you just rush around without even thinking...

If you want to go play some mindless sports game go play EA's latest craptacular sports console port or something >_>

Anyway, you can play it in real time too, but it's badly balanced since it's usually turn-based.

It actually got 2 modes. turn-based and real-time.

It was designed on the Warhammer Board game - type of play called bloow bowl. Where it would indeed be turnbased with the miniatures.

To keep true to that they did put a turn-based mode in the game but also a real-time mode. so don't worry :P it works on both SP and MP. try reading up the official website.

Also, its available for digital download now and a hardcopy will be release coming september. digital release is 50euro's. dunno how much$
