You can' t really hear the cellos or basses the recording is too top heavy...I'm sure if you were in the auditiorium it would sound cool. Treys got such a nice touch...where are the woodwinds and brass?
Don't matter to me about someone's feeling that this was a trainwreck. I love Big Red and would be thrilled to be there to hear that trainwreck. So suck it, ddeleaumont.
I am so impressed with Trey stepping out like this. Not an easy thing...taking serious chances with the music, VERY cool..as for ddeleaumont, Trey is showing incredible balls here. Just watch as this music grows ,and it touches more and more folks. This is just a small reason why I love the Jam band Scene.
Wow, he kinda got lost for a second there. The orchestra isn't going play by ear and sync back up so he does a good job of recollecting himself and listening to fit back in.
I think this is very good practice for Trey to force him to listen and enhance, rather than lead like in TAB or Phish. This will only make the impending return of Phish that much better. In fact, all of them with other side project outlets will only enhance things and freshen up the four-headed monster.

Amazing as always. Beautiful. Trey should play with an orchestra more often.

Starting at 1:51 is my ALL TIME FAVORITE PART OF ANY PHISH SONG. It caught me 14 years ago and I still get teary-eyed when I hear it. So beautiful.

I kind of agree... I don't really like it... It seems really out of control, and too... crazy? I'm not personally a fan.
