The more info given, the more interest from viewers thus, higher ratings. Oprah's questions are more from a female's perspective so she seems more "comforting" to the guest, which is why her show is more emotional and more women tune in. Male hosts tend to be more confrontational, intimidating.

It's possible when you understand that sexual orientation and gender identity are separate. I personally mostly prefer women and am a transgirl. It makes a little more sense when you realize that transwomen like to generally be related to as women. Dating a straight woman or gay man before transition would have them relate to me as a man, and the people who would relate properly generally aren't interested. Making the switch helps solve this. but know it isn't the sole motivation for transition.

I am not homophobic. I do not care if you are gay or straight. I believe gays should be able to marry. But I think sex change operations are wrong. It's mutilation. You should be who you are. If your gay be gay. Chopping off your genitals is never the right answer.

"spm429" - sorry that you missed the point completely. Sexual orientation & gender identity are separate issues. It's obvious by your comment that it was strictly focused on male genetals. Sex changes include both male & female and not all choose to add to their bodies or "chop of their genitals". Many accept & live happily with what they are born with. Others find that they must modify their outer appearance to accommodate who they really are inside.
