The Toyota CEO was going to cut the GS program from the Lexus lineup but he gave his engineers the wherewithal to impress him enough to continue greenlighting the program. If he was impressed, I would want to be just as impressed.

A CVT Lexus? Seriously? Last I looked diesels were still worse for the environment than gasoline cars, even with urea injections. It's not an just an MPG thing, it's an environmental thing...

Great job by lexus, but stop with the hybrid crap. Diesels get the same mpgs and are extremely torquey.

I much rather drive the Infiniti M35H. Faster 0 to 60 time. Lithium Ion battery. AND NO CVT!!! FYI: I would hate for that bamboo steering wheel to brake into pieces during an accident. This is why you don't see wooden steering weals anymore. That was a 50s thing back when seat belts were optional. Wood can break therefor stab you in the chest.

I wish they offered a hybrid 450h F-sport, that would be my choice in the class. Lexus hybrids often beat their EPA mpg figures and 31mpg combined is very impressive for a car like this. I don't like diesels in luxury cars.

i hate to say it but hybrids will be worse for the world than gas cars are, for hybrids you have to mine some of the most toxic metals in the world,ship it to china (the only country that will take it as toxic as it is) and make it safe, then ship it to japan to slightly modify the batteries for maximum life and then ship it to the manufactures, the metals that are toxic we actually need for the core of the earth.

FYI the GSh does not have 380 horsepower, it has around 340 which is actually a few hp less than the outgoing model
