I've been trying to play guitar for the past year or two on and off, and I really have only taught myself a few basic chords... I've watched a few of your videos, and I am sure if I practice a bit I'll have these songs down. It's great that you are putting these vids on youtube, thanks for what your doing.
Great lesson for a guy like me who has hardly ever picked up a guitar before. I was able to play right along with you up until you starting picking it. Thanks for the awesome lesson!
Thank you for all the help! Much appreciated! Anyone who doesn't like it, why are they watching and wasting their time with stupid comments? Anyway, thanks again!
I think your video is great, but I'm not sure I have the picking pattern correct. I can't seem to get it quite right, it doesn't sound like yours. I have (listing strings "picked" only), 2,5,4,6 then 1,5,4,6 then there is an addtion that you show and I thought it was 6,5,4,6, played after I completed the 2 I just listed (above) Can you list it out for me. Thanks!
Yeah, man! Fuck you! This guy is awesome. Intolerant jerk! Mojo, you are teaching me so much! I am not taking lessons, and you have taught me so much!
wat about an acoustic lesson on some song your great on electric i cant use a pik either learn on my own nobody their to correct me so shit man no pik
your awesome...i getting the tune down well. i have beginer guitar skills...my big issue is getting the strumming down...but your a great guy keep up the good work
man I love your stuff, nice to start a new song this way, I play this one with about 10 diff chords, but I love how you can play it without the others. Check out my vids, i am just learning.
you didnt teach the intro part. where it starts with a C chord and you have to change the fingering slightly. i havnt been able to get the intro perfectly and i wondered if you could post a video of it please. it would be greatly appriciated
I just bought my first electric acoustic guitar and the first song I wanted to learn was dust in the wind. Thanks for the video's they are really helpful and your easy to understand. I'm always up for a good challenge. Next will be sweet home alabama. Take care
@clongo54 yeah seriously yall need to stop being fucking assholes to a guy who is just trying to help you out. and it doesnt matter how you talk if you kick ass at guitar. nice work man
just to let everyone know, the part where he sings "only for a moment" you dont stay on a G chord, right when he sings MOMENT you play a D minor then go to the A minor. that will song much better.
It's not often I am attracted to basic Guitar and Vocals. Most people who attempt it, aren't very good. But I literally stopped blinking and just was in awe like stare listening to you.
so the picking for this is the same as wonderful tonight? also i just have to say that u are probably the best teacher i have ever seen,,,even though ive only seen a few on youtube,, i just started playing guitar and thank god i came across your videos.
hey Mojo that's again the little basque that already left you a comment for the more than words lesson. You've been lazy again ? I'd like to see your acoustic guitar ^^

Anyway it's good job you do, I like your vids.
by the way your site is good too ! And I like your guitar collection ! Shame there isn't a steinberger like the one I got though...
Ha ha :) What can I say, I am a Tele guy! I don't play a lot of acoustic guitar. I have a couple, but they see about 5% of all my playing time. Combined.
The hardest thing for me to learn in songs is when to strum up and down or half strum. What is the best way to learn this. Is it by ear? when I watch video it is hard to see sometimes. Any hints for a 40 yr old beginner would be appreciated.
I listen to the song and to the lyrics, from a phonetic stand point to take my cue. I figure out a generic strummin gpattern from there, and then I let the song dictate it as I play... it's a hard concept at first, but it comes to ya after a while :)
