  • I've been trying to play guitar for the past year or two on and off, and I really have only taught myself a few basic chords... I've watched a few of your videos, and I am sure if I practice a bit I'll have these songs down. It's great that you are putting these vids on youtube, thanks for what your doing.

  • @SkillasOwn

petit monsieur ! his accent is very very good ! he's french so "camembert"

  • Great lesson for a guy like me who has hardly ever picked up a guitar before. I was able to play right along with you up until you starting picking it. Thanks for the awesome lesson!

  • I think your video is great, but I'm not sure I have the picking pattern correct. I can't seem to get it quite right, it doesn't sound like yours. I have (listing strings "picked" only), 2,5,4,6 then 1,5,4,6 then there is an addtion that you show and I thought it was 6,5,4,6, played after I completed the 2 I just listed (above) Can you list it out for me. Thanks!

  • @ThreeChordGuitar he had your accent......and then he lost it! That's why he is upset

  • Could you do some Pink Floyd?

  • just to let everyone know, the part where he sings "only for a moment" you dont stay on a G chord, right when he sings MOMENT you play a D minor then go to the A minor. that will song much better.

  • gr8 vid man

but sorry ididnt get anything out of it

6th string is the low E first and the fingers are not in their correct picking positions either so its so much confusing for me..

  • could you go over the strumming pattern a little?

  • Great teacher.

  • you sing it better then the actual song man write an album coz i would buy it

  • when ur picking it its easier to think of the song in 8/4. helps me alot

  • tyvm nice

  • after wacthing it for like 15 time i still don get it, the way the fingerpicking goes.

    2546 (then change chord?)

    1546

    thanks a million!!

  • My favourite guitar teacher !

hey Mojo that's again the little basque that already left you a comment for the more than words lesson. You've been lazy again ? I'd like to see your acoustic guitar ^^

Anyway, first time i've heard this music it was played in song from Mago de Oz, called pensando en ti. Always wanted to know the original song and know how to play it. Thanx to you it's done.

Thanks ! Milesker ! like i'd say at home.

  • Well, I have been working a lot of hours lately... so I guess I have been lazy in terms of videos, although I did add three new ones last week :)

  • i was talking 'bout the fact you're playing an acoustic song on your tele. where's your folk guitar man ? Upstair, like last time for "more than words" ?

Anyway it's good job you do, I like your vids.

by the way your site is good too ! And I like your guitar collection ! Shame there isn't a steinberger like the one I got though...

:) Thanx for the vids !

  • Ha ha :) What can I say, I am a Tele guy! I don't play a lot of acoustic guitar. I have a couple, but they see about 5% of all my playing time. Combined.

    Thanks for the kind words!

  • The hardest thing for me to learn in songs is when to strum up and down or half strum. What is the best way to learn this. Is it by ear? when I watch video it is hard to see sometimes. Any hints for a 40 yr old beginner would be appreciated.

  • I listen to the song and to the lyrics, from a phonetic stand point to take my cue. I figure out a generic strummin gpattern from there, and then I let the song dictate it as I play... it's a hard concept at first, but it comes to ya after a while :)

  • I am a beginner and the hardest thing for me in strumming is learning when to strum down or up or change it. What is the best way to learn that or is it learned by ear?

  • Awesome job ive been looking everywhere for this lesson(a full lesson anyways) thx alot

  • Glad to be of help :)

  • That guitar is awesome. What is it? I want it.

  • It is a Crook T-style... visit Crook Custom Guitars and tell Bill Mojocaster says hi :)

  • thank you!

your vids are like the only ones I can understand :)

you have a great sense of humor in most of your vids too :)

  • Thanks! When you play as I play, a sense of humor comes in handy ;)

  • i enjoyed the singing, good lesson too

  • Thank you :)

  • I just found your videos - thanks much for your work. Much appreciated.

Don't listen to the hosebags. Your singing is just fine. There always are some dorks who have to try to make fun of anything that anybody posts here.

  • Thanks for the kind and supporting words :)

  • nice just don't sing.good job

  • Thanks... I guess :D

  • Thanks for making this easy for those of us who are not worried about intricacy and just wanna have fun playing great songs.

    =D

  • Glad to be of service! :)

  • look at his face on 2:38

  • What are we looking for, exactly ?

  • Thanks for watching and for your support :)

  • Thanks, I appreciate it!

  • thanks for yor time

    very very tanks

  • English is my third language.. what's yours? :)

  • you sings great!

  • Thanks :)

  • amazing singing )

  • Chet Atkins did an example of three cords and how you can play most popular songs knowing these! Great concept, to get over the hump and start having some fun as soon as you learn three cords lord knows how hard the first few are! your good at explaining what you are doing and slowing it down helps! Peace to you and yours! keep on rockin!

  • Ah, the great Chet Atkins... RIP. Man, I miss him.

  • Grandama is still watching and listening! you spread her understanding all over the world Peace!

  • It does look like you made it up as you went along. It isn't the same as the sheet music or is it?

  • It is a simplified version since that is the aim of the site in the first place... thanks for the comment.

  • Merci :)

  • you wasted my time dude you suck playing Dust in the wind original man

  • Sorry you didn't like it and felt the need to be rude about it...

    G 1-546, 2-546

    Am 2-546, 2-546

Thanks for the Vid, like the concept

  • I don't have a guitar with me, but that sounds right...

  • trying to figure out the picking
