As an astronomer for nearly my entire life of 57 years now, I always wonder how many people in the Internet have actually ever observed many real galaxies through a large telescope from a very dark sky location. There is so much Big Slang going on in the virtual computer world of so much mere language without action. As a report on the BBC stated today about Rupert Murdoch. "There is an ever widening discrepancy of what they say and what they actually do not do." And why don’t they?? /~;
I'm currently listening to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (all the 5 books, read by the man himself) and must say that this video is so wonderfully Adams-styled! Love it!
Excellent remix. Thank you for putting it online. Do you have permission to put original animation which would be great for astronomy education worldwide?
Ok, but no one asked the obvious question (well - obvious to me anyway), which was "why not keep the simulation running into the future and see how things develop in 15, 20 or 40 billion years' time?
@TheMiserablegit They did on Star Gazing last night. Our galaxy will collide with Andromeda into a big milk shake (in about 4 billion years time), but it's too difficult to predict if we will be part of this new galaxy or spun off away in the collision.
I've always wondered if it would be possible to make a virtual universe, and now I know... but I was more thinking with every single thing we know about physics. Like, simulate everything.

A real opportunity to make part time income and share something really heathly with others.
No better satisfaction.

Very cool. Is there something more in-depth about how they created the simulation, for us computer nerds?
