  • This song just reminds me of the ENDLESS, MIND NUMBING hours I spent tiring to get past the ending part of this stage. None the less, this was my favorite childhood game. Thank you for this.

  • Makes me think of the end of Mother 3

  • love this game! much better than the shit that kids play today, i mean they shouldn't even be playing stuff like call of duty cause they're not old enough in the first place

  • i love it!

  • 1 persona nunca pudo terminar el nivel Kingdom of Sorrow

  • THE PONIES LOVE YOU. NO MORE SUFFERING ONLY HAPPY.

  • i can hear klonoa 2 ending theme, klonoa1 ending theme (song of rebirth), grampas dying theme, and another theme from klonoa1, they were all sad parts of the game seires... this is the song of the kingdom of sorrow...hmm......

  • A friend of mine said she didn't want to play Klonoa now cuz it's for kids.

I invite her to say that after hearing THIS song :D

  • This is strange...always I heard this song in the game I hated it. I turned the sound off because it made me headache. But now I hear this song solo and I think it's a good song....but in the game it makes me crazy xD

  • Klonoa 2 is the best games ever

  • I once hacked this into the normal music for Twilight town in KH2

  • @mariomaniac6411 TELL ME HOW?!!

  • I love humming along to this song. <3

  • omg you can also hear the song that played when grandpa dies nt he first game, when i heard that it almost made me cry

  • hey, dd anyone else hear the song of rebirth from the first game in there?

  • Need on MP3 Player. Needs to be my new lullaby.

  • One of the best themes in the game. Great game. make a 3rd!!!

  • When I die I want this playing at my funeral and free Klonoa 2 game copies distributed to those that attend

  • Gran musica, me encanto, es muy dificil poder oirla ya que casi nadie la sube o exista para descargarla, gracias por la musica.

  • @Akatzuky4864 como que te relaja la musica no? tipo ambiente

  • This song is... undescriptible. First time I played the level, hearing the song, I was jaw-opened and wished the level never ended.

  • I put over 300 hours of my life into this game, I got every doll and every gem and got 2 secret bonus levels.

  • @Qkumber1 This game probably shaped my emotions. I should not have played this when i was 5 lol I wish i was that young again

btw DAMN this game is depressing.

  • this song is so epic, touching and eerie...

you hear slightly some short melodies from klonoa 1...

and then "oh my god...that song!! where did i heard it before!? oh god...

i remember, all those moments from past, and phewbew" its like ghost from past taking contact on you.

  • This song is so depressing, so is the level. I remember feeling so isolated playing this level, because of the abandoned furniture and those masks.

  • Ballad of Sorrow is rather better.

  • Man, this song always gave me chills o_o'

  • Wario: Rrrrrg Treasures all mine mine MINE *Runs in the Ruins of Sorrow*

  • @DrPunkRock1 Even he will probably run out crying like a baby ._.

I mean, the place is THAT depressing ._.'

  • @PatrickT22 funny you should say. When Klonoa was in the Ruins of Sorrow did you see him Crying? nope! not even one tear drop. Besides I don't think Wario isn't the type of person to show emotions, & the only thing is what makes his will power strong from him being emotional is Treasure!!

  • This song reminds me of World of Ruin from Final Fantasy VI.

  • the opening section makes me think of the skies after the end of the world, glowing red, the feeling of sorrow, death, kinda makes ya feel insignificant.

  • I like 2:44 to 3:00 because it have "Untamed Heart" tune from Klonoa - Door to Phantomile!!!!

  • Does anyone know how I could get the music sheet for the piano part of this song?!

  • i like it as it hits 0.43 and 1.10 i must say its very relaxing but also sad. Can shed a tear a bit

  • This is a good song.. wow.

I'll have to be honest though... the wind is actually starting to annoy me. Beyond that, this is a good song.

  • This song is soothing, but creepy. Creepy, but soothing.

  • This is just another reason Klonoa is the best! Its the only game with a song that you can play scavanger hunt in!

  • This and probably the King of Sorrow's theme are my favorites from the ost. I love how this songs weaves tracks from the 1st and it still sounds awesome

  • By far one of the greatest songs I've heard in the Klonoa series, if anything it seems more in touch with the series' darker edge. It's just so surreal and creepy for such a "cute" looking game.

By the way, does this song remind anyone else of Mother 3?

  • Agreed. It's also funny how both games are linked so closely in terms of overall mood.

  • @atomofish Lucas and how he lost his brother?

  • @atomofish

lol I read that comment at the time that I'm playing Mother 3 for the first time but played this a while ago. But it does kinda remind me of Mother 3

  • 3:28 the music sounds like joka's.

  • That's Baguji's theme! XD

  • i meant to say music.pardon my mispelling lol.

  • I hear the moon kingdom's msuci called untamed heart at 2:50 to 2:59

  • klonoa's grandpa's house tune is there at 2:11. damn its like all the songs from the 1st are in the song as references to previous games.

  • at 7:18 i hear the map music from the 1st game slowed down!

  • im hearing tunes from klonoa 1 slowed down or buried within the tune of this amazing music for the level.

  • i thought i heard lephise's song of rebirth from klonoa 1somewhere...

  • Ya know eventhough Klonoa grafics look bad at least the ENVIRONMENT PLUS THE MUSIC makes this game, see that the grafics are splendid in someway... its suits 100% on this game no flaws the storyline was GREAT!

  • Where sunsets dream.

  • *wells up with nostalgia*

  • i lovethis song, it's dark but in a way relaxing

  • hm...dark but in a relaxing way..would you say thats desolation?

  • this game might have not been rated a top game but it was really entertaining and plus it had some good music... I really liked it =)

  • can you help me with downloading this song please

  • wow u guys are deep...

    lol

  • 4:52 - 5-12 music from the first level of Klonoa 1? :DD

  • this song is so depressing in a good way makes me think of better times so many memorys of this game

  • anyway to get this on an ipod?

  • i got mine from limewire -Liza

  • This is basically Dark Ambient music, and I love Dark Ambient.

  • such a freaky song

  • OMG! I had forgot that this game existed! I MUST play it again, it was so cool, the story was so well done, and the last world and fighting the last boss, I really felt sorrow...!

  • klonoa is one of the best stories in video game history. its very creative from an aspect of dreaming. i should know cuz i have lucid dreams

  • I have lucid dreams as well, and Klonoa's meaning to me grows every day.

It's an incredibly deep story... Sorrow, seeming to eat up the entire world, and they try to destroy it... but in the end, all it wanted was a little appreciation. Even sadness has a place in our world.

  • indeed

Who here love the kingdom of discord:Volk!

  • Incredibly deep?? It's just about the King of Sorrow escaping from his prison and trying to take over the world, then being beaten and realizing he doesn't want to take over the world anymore.

Okay, that may be an oversimplification, but it really doesn't get much more complex than that. Yes, they conceal the plot and slowly reveal it over time, but the slow reval method of storytelling does not necessarily equate to complexity.

It IS still a good story though.

  • I was referring more to how it approaches the concept of the way our society handles negative emotions. It's widely accepted that sadness and grief are bad things, and that you're better off not feeling them. A lot of people actually have personality disorders because they grew up associating sadness with pain and became resistant to it, not feeling it at all--it can become a very disturbing illness.

Eveyone thinks Sorrow invaded, but he was there all along. No one was willing to accept it.

  • Hm, I did forget to take Lunatea's perception of sadness into account. Plus it does all end up being one big metaphor. I'll concede that you're correct.

  • I can admit that the plot, aside from the metaphors and symbolism, was pretty average, though. The world wasn't even developed very well in almost every place... but I dunno if I can expect anything else from this style of platformer.

Anyway, nobody's "wrong," so it works.

  • I still think "Door to Phantomile" had a much stronger story.

  • I wouldn't know. I wasn't a fan back in the day, and at this point it's rare and expensive... let's hope for that Wii release!

  • (Sorry, hard to explain in Youtube's character count)

So the emotional aspect of the story is all about learning to let go and accept sadness. The more you try to ignore negative emotions, the more it builds up to bite you in the ass when you finally realize you can't hide from it. Sorrow was tired of being seen as "evil," and by realizing that even sadness has a place in the world, Klonoa was able to let go of Lolo and Popka by leaving Lunatea.

  • @TheZillaKing Thats the full Story... that are great.

  • i have lucid dreams everyday too. but sometimes nightmares for me.

  • i mean, Kingdom of sorrow, sorry

  • ...perfect.

(the name of the level is "Where Sunsets Dream" i believe.)

  • I absolutely love this song. It's my favourite out of all songs from Klonoa 2. Thanks for uploading :)

  • This song is very eerie. I like it. Reminds me of the song "World of Darkness" (Aka. "Dark World) from Final Fantasy 6. Plays in the early parts of the World of Ruin, and in Abandoned Narche in the later parts.

  • this level is the kingdom of sorrow

  • okay i love klonoa music.... when do the come up with the iadea of making klonoa 3 sometime???????

  • i hear there comeing out with a wii one but im not sure

  • "wii??" *faint of happines*

  • Yeah. Its a remake of Door to Phantomile

  • its the main theme but in reverse.

  • You're quite right. I tried reversing it at certain parts and there were some familiar melodies from the first game...

The music sounds interesting, and it feels pretty easy to relate with.

  • how relaxing

  • I fell the same as everybody else...just weird......

  • I love how if you stand in the level and listen for long enough, little segments of Klonoa DTP starts playing in the background.

  • This is a really relaxing theme......... absolutely amazing. Just lifts your spirits and cradels it slowly....

  • I just noticed something, this works my subs out, all the low rumbles do put out big time on a good amp :D

  • love this song everytime i hear it it brings tears to my eyes it puts a image in my that the whole world is about to end and 1 of my famly member has died . this game rock i played this game over after i beat it just to hear this song .

  • The song isn't much, but the imagery that comes with it is.

Imagine on one of the last days of your life, you know you're going to die soon, so you go back and visit the first school you ever went to(Elementary?).You find the whole place completely abandoned and empty. The playground where kids used to swing on swings and play ball is deserted, but you can still hear the whole scene in the back of your mind.

Everything is gone, and this is the song that brings that imagery.

  • @OfficialMC2 woah, dude, after reading that and listening to the song, it blew mah mind! o___0

  • @OfficialMC2 ;__; you made me cry

  • i love this song it gives me a creepi felling that i am on a way lost in another world LOVE KLONOA

  • This song scares the crap out of me, it really does and i am 18 years old. I couldn't even finish it all the way because of how hellish it sounds, its as if i'm veiwing a corrupted soul that was once very beutiful and prosperous.

  • Wow...its like I totally know you, that is EXACTLY how I feel...it is like hearing the death of the universe...I am also 18..:)

  • Wow... the song really does give you crazy feelings... I love this song... I only wish I knew how to play some of the piano parts for myself... I just love the dizziness and relaxation this song brings... :)

  • Total sedation...Klonoa fuckin rocks.

  • This song makes me really dizzy...It just sort of makes me think, that nothing is important in the world...I could die just that moment, and it wouldn't matter...Because everything would turn out fine...

    Weird.

Its rather distracting in the level though o_O I keep making Klonoa fall through a gap, in time to the "music"

  • this song is pretty bad ass, its got that feeling to it, makes me dizzy :P, they better make a Klonoa 3, ^^

  • The whole game happend because THe King of Sorrow summoned Klonoa to Lunatea. I don't remember for a fact, but I think it was to prevent the Kingdom of Sorrow from being with the main outher FOur Kingdoms. Like people could go to it at anytime like with the other kingdoms, since Klonoa and the others didn't know it WAS a Kingdom XP.

  • he called Klonoa to lunatea to lift the veil from the inhabitetens of lunatea and make them realise that the kingdom of sorrow is a part of the other kingdoms and just as important, he wants klonoa to show lunatea that his kindom is apart of lunatea.

  • I forgot... What happened in this game with the Kingdom of Sorrow?

  • It gets rebuilt by Leorina after The King of Sorrow is beaten. Is that what you mean?

  • No, before that... It was by the middle of the game: I think it was that Leorina steals the four elements, rises the Fifth Bell and arises the Kingdom of Sorrow, something like that...

ok, before that happened, what did the Kingdom of sorrow have to do with the game.. that's what i mean.

  • Oh that. Note to all those still playing the game: SPOLIER ALERT!

Before being seperated, the Kingdom of Sorrow was one of the kingdoms, likke La-Lakoosha and Mira-Mira.

But the people did not like the sorrow, so they sealed it away so they would not have to encounter it. This pretty much enraged the King of Sorrow, and the Fight Bell stayed in the other kingdoms, when it was rung it lifted 'Lunatea's Veil' and returned the Kingdom of Sorrow.

  • Ohhh right! But why did Klonoa have to go to the Kingdom of Sorrow?

  • he had to stop the King of Sorrow.

  • i know im replying to a 5 month old post...

when you have all the elements and it shows that the baguji guy was leorina, leorina takes the elements and tells you somthing like this

leorina:now il make them pay the ones who abandon me.

then you here the dream voice(hyuponia kos) say the same thing.

so it turns out leorina was half brainwashed

    by hyuponia .

so king of sorrow was always the bad guy.

    :)

  • Not exactly.... Leorina was impatient with her priestess training, because her overall goal was MORE LIKELY just to get power... eventually during that time frame, she becomes power-hungry enough to do things herself, in her way.

  • God this song is awsome... expecially at 2:12-2:25

  • Yeah! I think the best part is 5:40.

  • Sorrow is a part of our feelings after all, and we just can help it if we show and express these kinds of emotions. I had a dream one night about a certain girl living alone in an isolated mansion in the sky and she's waiting for someone to come and save her from this prison she's in. I can't tell much about this dream myself.

  • I liked this music a lot. Its sorrowful yet happy, calming yet unnerving, and many other mystical opposites.

  • Omg. This is so sad. I had so much trouble because I was trying not to cry!

I love how you can hear snippits of other songs like when he met Lolo, and there are a few parts of the ending of the the first game! This game is truely amazing!

  • This song made me feel as if I was lost in some unknown world, alone. I felt as if I were the only person alive...I don't know this song feels me with great sorrow. I love it anyway. :3

  • i feel such deep sorrow in this song...

i like songs that have... feelings.

    :S

i dont know... the sorrow in this song makes me feel happy

  • yha part of the song of rebirth and the keys form the start of phantomile are in it as well. I think it's soposta be a remembrence thinger. kinda ties in with the momment house and all..

  • =P

one of my favs from klonoa.

i´m uploading klonoa themes too, check them if u want.

  • i love it how you can hear a bit from 'Grandpa's song' from the Klonoa Door to Phantomile at 2.11. I love this song. thanks x

  • Same here. This level was a nightmare the first time I tried it though. I also like trying to play this song on the keyboard from The Sims 2 on DS.

  • not as bad as the maze of memories ODO that really made my head spin! especially wen u had 2 keep spinning the dimensions around constantly...U-U uuurh my brains dead...lol

  • Lol. I got stuck on that lvl too, but I eventually figured out how. I love that long tunnel u jump down. XD

  • -D- ya...but the most funniest part was wen u had 2 get rid of the crystal block 2 get threw that door...^D^ heehee i kept on goin round in circles lol

  • Fun I bet.

  • ya ^^ it was very foony XD lol
