@DeadPixieDust I dusted off mine last night. Such an under-rated band. How they slipped under the radar, I don't know. And Grant's voice is incredible. Mighty Joe Moon, wine and the early hours make for a perfect night. Cheers
Im so glad I am of the generation that could truly appreciate this type of music. I would never give up my generations music (Im 31) for any of this new crap. I know it makes me sound old and you know what I know its what my parents said to me about there music. Maybe thats just how music is but this is my music. Grant you are mine and I thank you for it.
There are collections of songs and then there albums with a pace, a feel, a beginning and end, a complete work. Mighty Joe Moon never gets put on when I don't have the time to give it my complete attention. Hearing just this one song right now makes me want to put the album on, watch the rain fall and transport myself somewhere else. Few bands can do this and as good as the other GLB albums are, this was there zenith and I am grateful to them for producing this work of art.

They've reformed for a couple of gigs in Glasgow and London, January 2010.
Watch out for an announcement on a New York show.

@DeadPixieDust
I rediscover them from time to time over the years - the music and the lyrics are so beautifully perfect it hurts. My favorite is 'It's The Life'.
