Wow, just watched the movie "Monsters" and credits for music were Jon Hopkins...now here I am just tapping in to some of the coolest ambient/progressive I've heard in years. Amazing how people like me can't just flip a radio on and enjoy what they hear. Takes a lot more searching to find this kind of music. Thank you Jon Hopkins! And thank you for posting paulgwj :)
i actually think this is great exercise music. It makes my heartbeat calm and be able to run fast without getting really tired. But who knows this music might also come in hand when everything starts again in september again
heyy guys... do me a favor,, if u went to COLDPLAY'S CONCERT.. please msgme if you know the TRACKLIST of AMBIENT music before the concert started (VIVA LA VIDA TOUR) i'd appreciate it so bad if you could helpme out with this ;)
@MWeyrich1 dont know about the concert ambient list but sure can recommend some artists brian eno (he coined the genre and the term) harold budd (more on the minimaist classical music side though) chihei hatakeyama jonsi and alex stars of the lid boards of canada loscil aphex twin (selected ambient works) and the list goes on, lots more artists to be discovered :)
@BirthofAPrince That's not strictly true;belief is always contingent on reality rather than privately engineered fantasy however it is important as a first step and motivator thereafter.
@parannoyance perception is everything....that is how you perceive that statement to be...although there is a lot of compelling evidence that proves it is more true than false.
@BirthofAPrince i guess u did, considering your nick-name and your "laugh" were i see a touch of egoism.
maybe not over 15-17 years (considering youtube's avg. population age) If not, sorry in advance.. but anyways, i was talking about things that men have achived and they didnt belive in or expect to.
now you can crawl back to your keyboard and type again an answering bullshit. till then have a fuckin day
I sat in a comfortable chair slightly leaning forward with my elbows on my desk, hands clenched with my index finger knuckles slightly pushing pressure on my closed eyelids chilling out enjoying the spectacular colors, shapes, sizes, designs, whatever you wanna call it. Just don't push too hard. Just enough for comfort and effect.
@SixSick6 yea you know dude you dont have to try so hard your could take some hallucinagenics to get the same effect with no pressure to your eyes at all just close them. Closed eye visuals are fun. I'm really digging this song...
Yeah, me too, Groove Salad is a great place to discover new music - and I'm greatful for having discovered this song, it somehow fondles the soul in a very gentle and moving way
