  • wow! that is so cool! now you just have to put a time delay and make it strike the hour

  • @MrSciencetificsasuke That's what I am working on right now! I have already built a clock movement with verge escapement that almost keeps perfect time. All I have to do now is rebuild the clock to work this chime movement!

  • its half way done but still needs more work ill have a video of it done in about a week

  • @ACDC5968 WOW! Already! Nice, I would love to see that video! I want to start work on a homemade piano player device, all pneumatic just like the real thing, but made of paper, cardboard, and knex! I think I can do it, but it will be a real challenge indeed! I wish I had more time to work on my hobbies, but work comes first. I'm so excited to see it!

  • @Mechanicsnut hey do think if i build this weight powered theater show tell me what you think the videos called "Ancient Discoveries Ancient Robots 2 5 "

  • @ACDC5968 That would be so AWESOME!! I know exactly what you are talking about, the mechnical theature of Heron of Alexandrea! I have never thought about it, but it seems easy enough to me! That would be an amazing piece to see, I say go for it!! Now I have to build that water powered pipe organ from the same episode! I LOVE ancient discoveries!! I wish they still played it where I live! Good luck to ya!

  • That's fantastic. I think I'm going to make one with lego as well. Thanks for this idea!

  • @keyboardjeff That would be so amazing!! I could never do it in lego, so I can hardly wait to see it! Do you have bells?

  • yeah i was thinking of the old water wheels but then again i didnt know how the chimes worked great video

  • free bird!

    KEvron

  • @KEvronista Ha, ha, ha! Just part of Westminster chime! Great song that is!

  • i see what you did there arent those mechanisms you are using from an old chinese water wheel

  • @ACDC5968 Do you mean like the ones in the chinese tech episode of ancient discoveries? I love that show, I wish that history still showed it... But this is actually how most clock chime mechanisms work, they use a cylinder with pins to raise the hammers, then dropped them on the bells.

  • wow man, very well done, its awesome that you did that, and i really cant wait for you to add your clock to it so it rings every hour or so, you could have a full out grandfather clock Great job man, two thumbs up!

  • @CHRISANDELLIOT123 Thanks man!!! I was so excited when it rang for the first time after its second rebuilding! I have a clock that just might do the job too, I am rating it right now so it keeps time, then I just have to rebuild the two together!

  • @mechanicsnut well alright man, sounds like a plan, and man, that thing really sounds good, fantastic job on the timing of the chimes.
